Hi there,

We hit the illegal instruction message on Skylake (6140) CPUs running valgrind
on programs linked against OpenMPI 3.0.0; the cause being that with our GCC 5.5
and higher installs memset() causes the VPXORD command to be emitted during
various initialisation routines which Valgrind can't handle.

It took a bit of digging to track down what was going on, so we're certainly
interested in this work!

Just in case you are going to report this upstream and need the debug

Please ask for help in a forum of your distribution. The crash is in the
'swrast' Mesa driver, which is only used when the accelerated graphics drivers

If rebooting after changing nvidia drivers does not fix the crashes, please ask
for help in a forum of your distribution. The OpenGL drivers need to be

STEPS TO REPRODUCE:

   1) Krita can be in any idle state, with or without a file already active.

   2) in the file menu, choose 'Open', 'Save As', or 'Export' options.

   3) an empty dialog box appears where the file manager normally does, and
Krita immediately crashes to desktop.

I have never experienced this bug in any older version. After upgrading to 4.0
on March 29th, the bug was immediately present.

I'm having the same issue. There are all kinds of weird things happening:
presets appear and disappear randomly, lose masks, bundles duplicate, show up
in resource manager although I deleted them in the folder.

The issue is that QTextLayout uses QPainter::RasterOp_NotDestination, which
means all pixels that are affected by the cursor rect get inverted. Since the
cursor rect is positioned at fractional positions, usually 3 instead of 2
pixels get inverted.

I suggest to use setRenderHint(QPainter::Antialiasing, false) for the cursor.
This way, the rect rasterization will be pixel-aligned and only the intended 2
pixels get inverted.

The message is sent without issue but the mailer daemon considers it's a spam
if I send it from a free.fr address to another one.

I could send it from a free.fr address to my domain and from my domain to a
free.fr address.

Really, that's a free.fr issue.

Fix alignment of icons in Places panel and Compact view mode

Summary:
Adjust calculation of icon pixmap Y value; now based off center of text label
bounding rectangle. Previously, icons appeared top-aligned when text size was
larger than icon size.

Centering is done by obtaining the center point of the text frame
(`m_textRect.center().y()`) and setting the top `Y` point of the icon to
one-half of the scaled icon height (`m_scaled_PixmapSize.height()`)  Division
is done by `2.0`, to ensure calculations are done with floating-point math, in
keeping with `QPointF`, which returns floating-point values.

Also includes an adjustment named `midlineShift` (contributed by @zzag), which
takes into account the font's midline in respect to the center of the text
frame. Certain fonts (i.e. Noto Sans) can have a slightly offset midline,
resulting in imperfect alignment of the icon. This small adjustment resolves
that potential issue.

Since upgrading to 5.12.x on neon LTS, my system experience a memory leak (RAM
keep building up until it eats all of the RAM). I have another machine, both
intel graphics, and similar desktop config (same wallpapers, widgets, etc - and
no using slideshow).

The fix proposed on bug 368838 391063 which consist of QSG_RENDER_LOOP=threaded
works for me but thought it should be implemented by default? 

I tried pkill plasmashell; QSG_RENDER_LOOP=threaded kstart plasmashell and
since no more leak it seems like.

This is a safety and usability feature. Most sane workflows don't require
simultaneously opening large numbers of files and folders. For those that do,
just click Yes in the dialog that appears, or even faster: hit the left arrow
hey and then the return key.

If you're regularly doing something that requires opening 6 items at the same
time, it might be time to rethink the workflow itself.

Using a visually similar character is actually a usability feature: we try to
do what the user intended (even if it's not via the same approach) rather than
display a nasty error that then tries to explain some technical gibberish about
unsupported characters.

If there's any issue here, it's the inconsistency of having slashes in folder
names create a hierarchy rather than using the same behavior as with slashes in
file names.

This works properly, as expected if you drag the tag to the Places panel or add
it with right-click on tag > Add to Places.

The only time it doesn't work is if you're manually creating a places entry
from scratch via right-click on Places panel header > Add Entry... , because
with this method, you're required to supply your own icon.

KIOGDrive::copy - resolve the destGDriveUrl's new parent into a destDirId
before passing it to FileCopyJob in src/kio_gdrive.cpp

Summary:
KIOGDrive::copy doesn't resolve the destGDriveUrl's new parent into a destDirId
before passing it to FileCopyJob, which means it'll be sending an illegal
request body to the Google Drive API - for example:

The "id" field should contain a valid parent ID rather than an
originalFilename, and this patch resolves the right parent ID in one of two
ways:

- If the target folder of the copy command is the root of the GDrive, resolve
the rootFolderId from the destAccountId.
- If the target folder of the copy command is any other directory on the
GDrive, resolve the fileId of the destGDriveUrl's parentPath.

The resulting parent ID is passed to FileCopyJob as the parent of the new
cloned file, which then successfully processes the API call.
FIXED-IN: 1.2.2

Test Plan:
This bug is triggered whenever `KIOGDrive::copy` is called:

1. Try to copy a file from a random folder on the GDrive to the root folder of
the GDrive.

2. Try to copy a file from a random folder on the GDrive to another random
non-root folder on the GDrive.

3. Try to copy a file from a random folder on the GDrive to the same random
folder on the GDrive, which creates another fileId with an identical
originalFilename within that same folder.

In all three cases, the FileCopyJob should succeed rather than throwing an
error because the destination doesn't exist.

Copying a file from a non-GDrive source into a destination on the GDrive uses
`KIOGDrive::put` + `KIOGDrive::putCreate`, and copying a file from a GDrive
source into a non-GDrive destination uses `KIOGDrive::get`, which is why the
bug isn't triggered in these scenarios.
