That patch fixes the test suite on 32-bit x86.

Any 32-bit x86 Docker image of Alpine or Adélie should allow you to easily
repro this.

I see similar issues, but for me the color chosen is always black. If I adjust
the blend slider to 100% and then pick a color, blending will work correctly
once I change the blend back.

I suspect it has to do with mapping the slider value to the [variable] which is
used to actually compute the blend. If I had a clue where this is done in the
codebase, I'd be happy to try and track it down.

I am running Plasma with the patched plasma-nm package already for 2 days (with
few suspend & resume actions every day) and when I was on modem connection only

It could be just an issue of my modem which was reporting wrong signal value or
an issue of the driver, who knows?

>

> exceptions.TypeError: attributes() got an unexpected keyword argument 'frozen'

The root cause seems to be one step away from Twisted: python-twisted-code
17.9.0 depends python-automat>=0.6.0 depends python-attr, it's the latter which
is broken. Twisted 16.x from xenial doesn't depend on automat at all, hence it
escapes.

https://github.com/glyph/automat/issues/65 describes the issue:
> The patch for #62 in 3766391 that passes the frozen keyword to attr.s assumes
> attrs>=16.1.0 per python-attrs/attrs@cfa6d2e.

The initial patch for #62 made it into automat-0.6.0 (a year ago) but the fix
in https://github.com/glyph/automat/pull/66 didn't, and there's been no point
release since: https://github.com/glyph/automat/releases

My local workaround for now has been to downgrade Twisted to 16.0.0-1ubuntu0.2
(from xenial repo) and hold them.

So if I understand the issue correctly, we would need to make a whitelist for

2018-05-30 Thread Maik Qualmann
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=377849

--- Comment #15 from Maik Qualmann  ---
Today I tested digiKam-5.9.0 on a real Windows machine. When I look at the
messages in DebugView, it looks like Solid is working correctly, reporting
removed removable media and network shares. Only, the QFileSytemWatcher is most
faster as Solid. With digiKam-6.0.0 we have already delayed the external events
of QFilesytemWatcher by 2 seconds. Maybe it will be enough. Another idea, we
make the QFilesystemWatcher configurable. With an album selector everyone can
enabled the shared monitored albums. The resources of the QFileSytemWatcher are
limited, see Qt-Doc. Here on Linux, after about 3-4 albums, the kernel
resources are exhausted and no more albums are added to the monitoring. I think
that we generally monitor all albums is not a good idea.

reproduced, a larger album with images externally touch with the command touch

I have only a single gmail account, and I experience exactly the same issue
with KMail 5.7.3 and Akonadi 17.12.3. The workaround with imap.googlemail.com
works.

Moreover: when using OAUTH, after selecting "serverside subscriptions", no
folders show up. When using password authentication, folders do appear.

Any progress in investigating this? It's a KMail showstopper for for users with
GMAIL accounts (if they don't know about the workaround).

broken link", and then the following assert is triggered:
Q_ASSERT(QFileInfo(tempName).isFile());
in PreviewJobPrivate::cleanupTempFile()

Should PreviewJob create symbolic links or should detect the file is a broken
link and use a predefined icon?

I can reproduce this bug quite often, although for me it can also happen while
the OSD is dead centered in front of a window so not just when there is
overlapping.

[valgrind] [Bug 388787] Support for C++17 new/delete

2018-05-30 Thread Paul Floyd
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=388787

--- Comment #2 from Paul Floyd  ---
Testcase to reproduce this behaviour:

# Makefile
.PHONY: clean
# GCC and Valgrind built from SVN/git head
CXX=${HOME}/tools/gcc/bin/g++
VG=${HOME}/tools/valgrind/bin/valgrind

test32: test.cpp
${CXX} -o $@ $< -m32 -Wl,-rpath,${HOME}/tools/gcc/lib -faligned-new
-std=c++17

test64: test.cpp
${CXX} -o $@ $< -m64 -Wl,-rpath,${HOME}/tools/gcc/lib64 -faligned-new
-std=c++17

vg32: test32
${VG} --trace-malloc=yes --show-mismatched-frees=yes ./$<

vg64: test64
${VG} --trace-malloc=yes --show-mismatched-frees=yes ./$<

clean:
rm -f test32 test64 test32_clang test64_clang

Source code:
#include
#include

class alignas(64) MyClass {
int i;
};

int main() {
MyClass* myClass = new MyClass();
delete myClass;

MyClass* myClassNt = new (std::nothrow) MyClass();
delete myClassNt;

MyClass* myClass5 = new MyClass[5];
delete [] myClass5;

MyClass* myClass5Nt = new (std::nothrow) MyClass[5];
delete [] myClass5Nt;
}

There are no mismatches but the output is

--4614-- memalign(al 64, size 64) = 0x4425AC0
--4614-- free(0x4425AC0)
--4614-- memalign(al 64, size 64) = 0x4425B80
--4614-- free(0x4425B80)
--4614-- memalign(al 64, size 320) = 0x4425C80
--4614-- free(0x4425C80)
--4614-- memalign(al 64, size 320) = 0x4425E40
--4614-- free(0x4425E40)

Since Valgrind does not pick up the aligned new/deletes but it does pick up the
underlying memaligns and frees.

like to rule out that this is just another manifestation of it.

OS: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: minor

A preview of both

The Plasma OSD popup that shows up when changing the volume or to an external
display (Super+P) starts to flicker most of the time when fading out if it's
overlapping a window partially (not when it does so entirely), or if it
overlies multiple windows.

The first wish is covered by #198872, as Adrián Chaves mentioned.

For the other checks, I think it would be better to integrate support for
Pology’s validation rules
(http://pology.nedohodnik.net/doc/user/en_US/ch-lingo.html#sec-lgrules)
(#342614) and/or the tests in the Translate Toolkit
(http://docs.translatehouse.org/projects/translate-toolkit/en/latest/commands/pofilter_tests.html)
instead of trying to reimplement them in Lokalize directly.

Can’t confirm (i.e., the bug seems to be fixed). Lokalize shows POT files even
if the translation folder is missing. Clicking on a POT file and saving
automatically creates a folder for the PO file and saves the PO file in the
folder.

Fixed in git, see

Depending on how much packages need to be re-compiled and re-published, it
could need some time until the fix reaches users.

[plasmashell] [Bug 394871] New: plasmashell fails to start due to error libactivityswitcherextensionplugin.so library

2018-05-30 Thread TYY331
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=394871

Bug ID: 394871
   Summary: plasmashell fails to start due to error
libactivityswitcherextensionplugin.so library
   Product: plasmashell
   Version: 5.12.90
  Platform: Neon Packages
OS: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: major
  Priority: NOR
 Component: Activity Switcher
  Assignee: ivan.cu...@kde.org
  Reporter: sebastian.p...@gmail.com
CC: plasma-b...@kde.org
  Target Milestone: 1.0

In a recent update the desktop fails to start.
Plasmashell can't initialize correctly due to an error in
libactivityswitcherextensionplugin.so:

/usr/bin/plasmashell: symbol lookup error:
/usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/qt5/qml/org/kde/plasma/activityswitcher/libactivityswitcherextensionplugin.so:
undefined symbol:
_ZN11KActivities15ActivitiesModelC1ERK7QVectorINS_4Info5StateEEP7QObject

Workaround: move the file so plasmashell doesn't find it, the desktop is able
to start but activities, desktop wallpaper and icons are disabled, but the
panels and widgets work.
in a TTY type:
sudo mv
/usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/qt5/qml/org/kde/plasma/activityswitcher/libactivityswitcherextensionplugin.so
/usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/qt5/qml/org/kde/plasma/activityswitcher/libactivityswitcherextensionplugin.so.bak

The error appeared in a recent plasma-desktop update

The approach I'm leaning towards is putting a "Delete image" button in the
inline notification that appears after the image has been uploaded. Clicking it
would activate the deletion link and delete the image. We might need to
increase the timeout for the notification if we do that.

Hi,
The correction should work (tested on sqlite) but I am not able to test it from
Skrooge.
If you are able to build Skrooge from git version, this could help.
Regards.

Thanks for the information. Developer comment #2 suggests fixes have been made
in Qt 5.11 which could affect this issue. Please add the debug/log files when
you can still reproduce with this recent version.

[KBibTeX] [Bug 388892] Formatting error when saving file ( switching " and } )

2018-05-30 Thread Arnout Boelens
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=388892

--- Comment #17 from Arnout Boelens  ---
A file with the correct title ("{..}"), loads and saves without problems.

If I remove one bracket I indeed get an error message prompting me to fix the
problem.

When I remove both brackets, press OK, and ctrl W, and click save, the file is
saved wrongly as title = "{..."} .

I edit entries by double-clicking on them.
