[kaffeine] [Bug 394306] not getting title in osd or epg
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=394306 --- Comment #7 from Huntx011 --- Hi Thanks for looking into this. I will try and upgrade as you suggest. I should have added that kaffine was getting the title info (in addition to the schedule) exactly as expected until I upgraded to Ubuntu’s latest LTS release. I will let you know if the newer version resolves the issue. -- Chuck Hunt huntx...@att.net This message may contain confidential and/or privileged information. [okular] [Bug 394851] Configure Web Shortcut Error
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=394851 --- Comment #8 from Christoph Feck --- Ah wait. Your Okular is still the KDE4 version, so you indeed need to use kcmshell4. Given that it errors out on "kcmshell4 webshortcuts" means you do not have Konqueror 4.x installed. The webshortcuts kcm was part of konqueror, and was splitted into kio with the port to Frameworks 5. Instead of installing the older Konqueror, I suggest to install a newer Okular instead. Any 1.x version should work, but more recent versions have additional fixes. Current released version is 1.3. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

[kate] [Bug 394908] New: Printer Options will not save
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=394908 Bug ID: 394908 Summary: Printer Options will not save Product: kate Version: 16.04 Platform: Neon Packages OS: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: application Assignee: kwrite-bugs-n...@kde.org Reporter: ken.jars...@gmail.com Target Milestone: --- Kate was the only application I could find in the list for this bug. All applications which require printing will be impacted by this bug. KDE Neon 5.12.5, Qt version 5.10.0 Using Canon PIXMA MX922 AIO printer/scanner wifi network connection. Printer worked fine using default parameters although I found it necessary to always change from A4 to Letter page size. OPTION WOULD NOT SAVE Trouble began when using the application gLabels in an attempt to print directly on CD/DVD media. Somehow I was able to set Configure printer/Printer Options for Media Size, Media Type and Media Source for the CD/DVD disks. However, now I cannot set those back to print on paper. As a workaround I can change the Printer Options, click Apply and then print on paper but clicking on OK the options will revert to CD/DVD. Additional observations: 1. Opening the Printer Options I always have to expand the window horizontally to set the Media Size option. The Printer Options window size is NEVER remembered. 2. Opening the Print Queue window I always have to expand the window horizontally in order to see the printer job names and progress. The date is an important part to recognize an already imported image. We already accept +/- 1 hour to accept the daylight-saving time. But if the date of the file is so different to the EXIF date, I have no idea. Saving both dates would require a change to the database. I tend to WONTFIX and either use metadata or not to import images. Generally using metadata here is also not a good solution, since the speed advantage when no metadata is used is significant. [Spectacle] [Bug 393708] Copy to clipboard doesn't seem to work with default Klipper settings
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=393708 --- Comment #18 from Henrik Fehlauer --- @cfeck: Exactly. > Couldn't we add x-kde-force-image-copy to the MIME data only if "Quit after > save or copy" was checked As I said, users can manually quit Spectacle. Why would manually quitting remove the image from the clipboard, while automatically quitting keep it? That's highly confusing. Also, this won't solve the memory problem in any way. We don't have a conceptual problem here, only one of implementing it properly in Klipper. As can be read on Phab, David does not like increasing memory usage (and I don't either, but that doesn't seem to matter to you). The only other short-term alternative to the warning message I have is disabling the quite-after-copy feature, but surely you won't like that either. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
[digikam] [Bug 377849] albums disappear when the network is interrupted.
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=377849 --- Comment #22 from hardy.pub...@gmail.com --- I have a refined way to trigger the issue: 1) digiKam open in thumbnail view after scanning the collection. 2) Start DbgView. 3) In Control Panel\Network and Internet\Network Connections, right click Ethernet adapter and click disable. 4) Without delay this time, the album(s) instantly disappear. In the log below, the first entry is coincident with Steps 3/4. It seems that "Starting Scan" and "Removed items" are premature actions if there is no verifiable network connection. Regardless, I wonder if sufferers of this problem might have Ethernet adapter power saving options enabled. i.e. I do not have "Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power" enabled as shown in the screenshot. I cannot remember if this is the default or I switched this off manually which may explain why I did have the issue and now I don't have the issue. == 00010. [Spectacle] [Bug 393708] Copy to clipboard doesn't seem to work with default Klipper settings
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=393708 --- Comment #16 from Nate Graham --- Couldn't we add x-kde-force-image-copy to the MIME data only if "Quit after save or copy" was checked (or when activated via a global shortcut, should https://phabricator.kde.org/D9117 be merged)? That would at least fix this bug. Perhaps we should check with David whether the potential memory expenditure is worthwhile rather than assuming that it isn't. He was the one who originally proposed this approach, after all. It's not like this is a totally useless expenditure of RAM either: what's being proposed is the addition of a desirable feature. Sometimes features (especially image-related features) use memory, the the whole point of having a desktop environment is to enable features that users want. I don't think that making Plasma as memory-lean as possible (An important goal!) means that we need to sacrifice user-requested features because they use additional memory. I have to say I'm really not a fan of the "I'm smarter than you" attitude you're giving off here. All of this may seem obvious to you because you've puzzled it all out, but I would ask you to please stop the condescension. We're just having a discussion here picking up from the points you brought up in https://phabricator.kde.org/D9117#208517. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=392780 --- Comment #5 from Matthieu Gallien --- There is an implementation more or less complete in the branch genericModel . [digikam] [Bug 377849] albums disappear when the network is interrupted.
