Yes, it was a svg file. When I tried png, icon was displayed OK.

Interestingly when I start typing and search for viewnior, icon is displayed.
So I assume searching is using another component.

[systemsettings] [Bug 394747] Tabs should not be hidden when we scroll

2018-08-05 Thread Nate Graham
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=394747

So my thought for conceptually how to fix this would be to size the scrollview
according to the sizeHint of the KCM within it, bounded by the screen size. So
in the case of the powerdevil KCM for example, people with 1366x768 screens
would get a vertical scrollbar instead of having the bottom cut off like it was
before. But they wouldn't get a horizontal scrollbar that would result in tabs
getting cut off, because the whole thing can fit within the 1366 horizontal
pixels that they have.

Does that sound sane?

Timeline gets corrupted, slows down and, if more than 10 clips are selected,
crashes when moving videoclips with non symmetric layout into or out from audio
or video tracks. Sometimes, if enough clips are selected you don't notice the
timeline corruption and Kdenlive goes straight to crashing.

When I try to create a new event the dialog comes up.
I enter title and general notes.
Press OK and the following message appears "Select a valid collection first"

Korganizer version is 5.5.3 on Kubuntu 17.10
I have been using Korganizer for about 1 month; this problem has just emerged.

Nor can I edit previous events. I can return to using Google calendar so this
is just annoying. I also use Thunderbird and have used its google calendar
add-ons and they worked perfectly. I do prefer Korganizer. The other thing I
noticed is with May 2018 and earlier not all event entries are shown in
Korganizer yet they exist.

With Thunderbird you need to install calendar add-on then an extra add-on
called Provider. It allows bidirectional editing with Google calendar. Know
idea if this helps

Best wishes
Andrew

I can't reproduce. Images with a .JPG and .jpg suffix are all shown in the file
selector for me on OpenSUSE. I'm not sure if there's a setting in
systemsetting5 or not that controls this but it's nothing that Tellico can fix,
to my knowledge. Tellico simply pulls the image suffixes supported by Qt
itself.

There are no problems from the same camera for landscape pictures.

only for the portraits files), or there is a problem.

Created attachment 114312

broken window thumbnails

The one thing that's making latte less usable than a standard task switcher for
me is that it is not creating window thumbnails when a running application has
multiple windows open.

For example, I should be able to choose which firefox window to switch to by
hovering over the launcher, then choosing a thumbnail. However, as you can
see, those thumbnails fail to load. Thumbnails work just fine for programs
with only one window open.

Currently I must either use alt-tab to find the window I want, or click the
launcher icon, then move the cursor a (comparatively) great distance across the
screen to pick the window.

What makes this super strange is that occasionally, the thumbnails will work as
expected, but if I move the cursor out of the dock, then back, the thumbnails
will be gone again. Seems to be somewhat random.

Not sure if it matters, but I do have the dock set to auto hide.

Bernhard: Thanks for the update (and sorry nobody responded in the last 7
years). Great to hear it works now for you, however it does not sound to me
like it was the same issue the bug was originally about (the segfault in
particular).

Daniel: Could you test whether this still is an issue for you with a recent
version?

(With a another device it is working fine for me as of kamera v18.07.90 and
libmtp 1.1.14, so if this is still an issue it's likely hardware specific.)

That's still an issue as of v18.07.90.

However, I wonder whether instead of hardcoding r/w permissions this should
simply respect the umask of the target directory.

Only one issue per bug please ;) Anyway, that should be working fine in Plasma

Thanks for the report, and sorry nobody looked at this in the last 15 years.

> This report is more like a combo report
Please only report a single bug or idea per bug, because otherwise tracking
becomes really difficult for us.

> - It should support EXIF information in preview (in the tooltip)
As of v18.07.90, I still don't get any metadata showing in Dolphin's sidepanel
or the tooltips.

> - It should have an icon in the "Services" or "Devices", in konqueror.
> Maybe automatic, when the camera is detected.
That's tracked in bug 386060.

> - It should display in desktop, just like other drives,
> like CD-Rom and stuff.
These days, Plasma does not show devices on the desktop anymore by default.

> - It shouldn't be listed under "Internet Protocols" in
> Konqueror->Configure->"Previews & Metadata"
As of KDE 4, you cannot configure which protocol is classified as local or
remote anymore from the GUI. That said, with "Skip previews for files above 0
MB" I still got previews, so camera:/ is now a local protocol (confirmed by
looking at camera.protocol, which has "Class=:local").

> launch konqueror when the camera is detected.
When you attach a camera, nowadays Plasma's device notifier will pop up.

---

In summary: One issue (showing EXIF information and other metadata) is still
open.

Trying to move a file to a device opened through camera:/ in PTP mode, Dolphin
shows "Could not write to file .", so I assume this is still an issue 11 years

In a way Dolphin's message is a "popup", but let's keep this open until kamera
supports writing (camera.protocol currently still has "writing=false").

5:03:07 AM austin_laptop thanks _Marcus_. Yeah, from a quick read of the
code, I didn't see why it would segfault, but wasn't completely sure
5:03:29 AM _Marcus_ so basically we are running into the TRY /
__EXCEPT_PAGE_FAULT block in GlobalFree
5:03:37 AM _Marcus_ the testcase causes it to fault
5:03:47 AM _Marcus_ but this is our generic exceptipon handling
5:04:10 AM austin_laptop ok
5:06:40 AM _Marcus_ something in the arm signal handling is not fully
correct I would think :/
5:07:11 AM austin_laptop yeah, that's likely
5:07:36 AM austin_laptop this is armv7l rather than arm64 (and at least
on VG side, is not as complete)
5:07:37 AM _Marcus_ winedebug +heap should print the ERR("invalid
handle %p\n", hmem);
5:07:48 AM _Marcus_ from GlobalFree, if it does not ... we are not
getting there for some reason

Note: I ran with +heap, but do not get that message, so something may be broke
in wine's armv7l exception handling as well.

Here on Linux, there is only one message in the console without a crash:

digikam.metaengine: Can not load metadata from file (Error # 58: corrupted
image metadata

Exiv2 says the file is broken. However, metadata can be displayed with
exiftool. You best report the problem with the image example to the Exiv2
project. I can confirm the crash on Windows.

[kwin] [Bug 397190] New: kwin_killer_helper hangs trying to kill window

2018-08-05 Thread bugzilla_noreply
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=397190

Bug ID: 397190
Summary: kwin_killer_helper hangs trying to kill window
   Product: kwin
   Version: 5.13.3
  Platform: Gentoo Packages
OS: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: major
  Priority: NOR
 Component: core
  Assignee: kwin-bugs-n...@kde.org
  Reporter: undyin...@gmail.com
  Target Milestone: ---

Overview:
When I'm closing firefox it's not exiting and then kwin helper popups with
suggestion to kill the window. After aproving window killing kwin_killer_helper
hangs with 100% CPU usage.
But if I'm kill firefox simply executing "kill " it exits normally
and kwin_killer_helper also exits.

Steps to Reproduce:
1) Start firefox
2) Try to close it

Actual Results:
1) Firefox window still exists
2) kwin_killer_helper hangs with 100% CPU usage

Expected Results:
1) Application should be closed correctly

Status: UNCONFIRMED

Hi

I've tried to add my extended photo collection to digikam. Unfortunately
digikam was crashing all the time. So I tried to figure out the problem and to
isolate one of the photos that crashes the software. The problem appears on
MySQL and on SQLite database too. The attachment contains the photo.

Kind regards
