[konqueror] [Bug 397903] Can't open "file type options"
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=397903 --- Comment #2 from william.m...@anderson.ucla.edu --- (In reply to Burkhard Lueck from comment #1) > does "kcmshell5 filetypes" work for you? That helped! The command failed but with a suggestion to install kde-cli-tools, which I did. Now the button has started working, and I can also access the file associations through that command. But even after selecting "Show file in embedded viewer" and "Apply", Konqueror launches a separate viewer for PDFs, whether I use Okular or Document Viewer. Image files seem to open in the embedded viewer just fine. I'm guessing I just need to install something more, but don't know what. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

It does appear to change sometimes, but not every day. I am willing to do more debugging if needed to fix this. I have been reading the potd code and it appears to have a 10 minute timer that uses the last modified time of a cached image file, with this line of code: info.lastModified().daysTo( QDateTime::currentDateTime() ) > 1 Does this mean it only changes every 2 days and the fix might be as simple as changing to greater-or-equals to 1? [Breeze] [Bug 397851] Disabled entries in context menu are unreadable when blur and transparency effects are active
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=397851 --- Comment #5 from Nate Graham --- Hah, I see! Seems like there is a general conceptual issue here: When using Breeze light and the transparent+blurred element is over a dark element, the menu background darkens significantly, which reduces the readability of dark text (i.e. active menu items). When using Breeze dark and the transparent+blurred element is over a light element, the background lightens significantly, which reduces the readability of light text (e.g. inactive menu items). Here's an idea: When the transparent element's inherent color is significantly different from the color of whatever's beneath it, we could brighten or darken the result to make it better match the transparent element's original color. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=397775 --- Comment #2 from lylewang...@gmail.com --- Hi Valeriy Malov : Thanks a lot for looking into this. 1) I found it was the button-1 (the pen tip) was not configured, so after I configured that it works now, though not sure why it was working without proper config while connected via usb cable. 2) Yes when I chose "Map to Cursor" I was expecting it behaves like a mouse - if I move pen away from pad, then touch the pad again with the pen, the cursor should stay where it was, no matter which point I touch on the pad. But this seems not happening - instead the cursor jumps to the point where relatives to the point I touch on pad. Last thing, there are 4 extra buttons on the pad that can be customized. Their signals can be picked up in the settings - Input Devices - Joystick, but the "Graphic Tablet" doesn't provide customization options for these (in "Tablet" tab), what is the current best solution for this ? I think that the "embedded viewer" option is under "File Type Options" but am not completely sure, and can't find any clear documentation on this issue. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=397650 --- Comment #13 from Wolfgang Reissenberger --- Yepp, parking mount and dome can be controlled through the calibration dialog. Flat field calibration can be fixed with D14977. The only problem is that my posted diff contains more than my correction of capture.cpp. Btw.: is there a calibration for darks and bias frames? https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=397901 Bug ID: 397901 Summary: Work-around for maximum number of images in an album Product: digikam Version: 6.0.0 Platform: Appimage OS: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: Albums-TableView Assignee: digikam-bugs-n...@kde.org Reporter: p...@hallcircus.net Target Milestone: --- If you're serious about images, it's easy to exceed the number of images that can be stored successfully in the database. When you do this, new images can be added, but don't show up in the tree view. If it were possible to umount an album location and mount another (assuming that both are already defined in digikam |settings | configure) it would solve the problem. I can accomplish that now by manually umount-ing and mount-ing, but that's really kludgy. I think this would be easily done from the tree-view context menu, and would be a nice way to get around the physical limits of the java and/or database container, perhaps along with a configuration switch to support album location switching. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

[kdevelop] [Bug 397899] New: Option to exclude subdirs when running clazy on folders/the prioject
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=397899 Bug ID: 397899 Summary: Option to exclude subdirs when running clazy on folders/the prioject Product: kdevelop Version: git master Platform: Other OS: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: wishlist Priority: NOR Component: Analyzer: Clazy Assignee: kdevelop-bugs-n...@kde.org Reporter: kosse...@kde.org CC: an...@anikin.xyz Target Milestone: --- Given a software project which has (for whatever reason) some copies of 3rd-party code in some subdirs. Such 3rd-party code copies often should stay untouched from optimizations, to keep the diff to the original code as small as possible. So it would be useful to be able to exclude those subdirs from clazy runs, to both not spend time on code which should not be changed as well as keep the result lists clean from uninteresting results (and fixes). Example: KDevelop codebase which has some copies of subversion code, astyle code and qtcreator's qml parsing code. Those copies are in their own special subdirectories (all named 3rdparty/) and should be often ignored when running clazy on the whole project, like with performance checks. Sp it would be useful to have an additional listing in the Clazy project config UI where one could lists project subfolders which should be excluded. Either by patterns or by explicit listing of existing subfolder paths, not sure yet what is more useful. Subdirectories excluded here would then also mean the respective actions are not shown in the context menus on folders and files in those subdirs. (Cmp also https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=397885 filed for clazy-standalone with a similar reqzest, whose implementation though might not be relevant here, given kdevclazy does its own processing of the commands database and collection of source files to run clazy on). -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

I've rolled with the punches, grudgingly. But historically, I've seen multiple regressions of functionality forced on users with new versions, and a dismissive attitude regarding impact. Now I've adapted to using both activities and multiple desktops. I can only pray that this "merge" will be elegant enough such that I won't feel like I'm getting smacked in the head. Again. [systemsettings] [Bug 397892] New: System Tray widget has extremely bad usability

I found it impossible to configure to my taste and also next to unusable. Configuration "System Tray Settings": - there seems to be a concept of "things in the panel" and "things in the dropdown menu", however, in the settings this is not clear. Entries is for the panel and "Extra Items" for the dropdown? What are the categories? Maybe you could have a list of all possible entries and there select if, where and when to show it. - about 50% of the times, "Entries" in the settings is completely empty. - If I enable something in the Extras and apply, It will not show in the Entries until I restart the dialog. - I have 2 different audio icons and I can not understand the difference (except that one doesn't function). - Wacom tablet settings is not autoloaded, it's always there. - Instant Messaging doesn't function if it is in the extras. - KOrganizer daemon stays around no matter if it is disabled and disabled from start. - I can not disable bluetooth on start. Usability: - when clicking on most of the icons (one of the sound icons, wireless, battery), instead of being taken to the related options (eg. available networks for the wireless icon) I get the same popup as if I would have clicked on the dropdown. - After having the popup "Status & Notifications" it is extremely hard to click it away. For instance, clicking on the panel will not dismiss it. Clicking on the dropdown arrow again also does not fold it back. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

[kgeography] [Bug 397891] New: KGeography doesn’t handle images with transparency
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=397891 Bug ID: 397891 Summary: KGeography doesn’t handle images with transparency Product: kgeography Version: unspecified Platform: Other OS: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: general Assignee: aa...@kde.org Reporter: k...@huftis.org CC: lauran...@free.fr Target Milestone: --- Created attachment 114616 --> https://bugs.kde.org/attachment.cgi?id=114616=edit Updated map file for Norway (with transparent background) KGeography doesn’t handle images with transparency correctly. It looks like the colour of transparent areas aren’t properly recognised. I’ll attach an example image. This is an updated version of the map for ‘Norway’. The only difference is that the background colour (220,220,220) is marked as transparent (but it’s still saved as a colour). How to reproduce: 1. Note that the norway.kgml has a definition for ‘Not Norway’, defined as the colour (220,220,220), the same colour used as the (transparent) background colour in the attached image file. 2. Note that the tools/colorchecker.py scripts reports ‘The map is correctly formed’ when run on the ‘norway.gml’ when the existing ‘norway.png’ is replaced by the attached file. (If I change the background colour to a *different* colour, the tool complains, so it seems to work fine.) 3. Note that KGeography correctly loads the image, and shows it with a transparent background (which looks *much better* than the grey rectangle of the existing map file). 4. Click on the background of the map to get the following error message: You have found a bug in a map. Please contact the author and tell the /usr/share/kgeography//norway.kgm map has nothing associated to color 220,220,220. So it looks like KGeography *sees* the colour as 220,220,220, the colour defined in the .kgm file. But at the same time it doesn’t *handle* it like a normal 220,220,220 colour. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
[plasmashell] [Bug 397875] panel - system tray trouble
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=397875 Luigi Toscano changed: What|Removed |Added Status|UNCONFIRMED |RESOLVED Resolution|--- |DOWNSTREAM --- Comment #6 from Luigi Toscano --- You don't need to recompile the packages. The issue seems to come from the missing update of Frameworks packages in testing. Only few packages from Frameworks 5.49 migrated to testing, and the vast majority of them are still version 5.47, but the newer version of Plasma was built against Frameworks 5.49. Just update all Frameworks 5.47 packages to the unstable version (5.49) and Plasma should work again. The bug should solve itself when all the packages migrate. Packagers should ensure that the migration of Frameworks happens all at the same time, and it blocks the dependent packages.
