You are searching for (Albums.relativePath LIKE "%Négatifs Pierre%" AND NOT
Albums.relativePath LIKE "%Pierre%") and in addition to file formats. That can
not provide any results. Can you take a look, if File format actually does not
reset on Reset to "All".

Here's a proposed version that gives the opaque background circle a border.
Maybe that would be better.

Note: I am not an icon designer, so if these are all terrible mockups, please
feel free to interpret them in the broadest possible way and make something
that actually looks good. :)

Yeah, that is fixed.
But just to confirm: you can still fold all things that should be foldable, the
only issue that is there is that some lines have markers that have nothing to
fold (as e.g. for (..) the region ends in the same line as it starts).

[okular] [Bug 398605] Closing the 'find' toolbar should clear search field

2018-09-16 Thread Kishore Gopalakrishnan
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=398605

Personally, I feel that it is more in line with the user's expectations to not
highlight search terms once the search bar is closed (this is the case in
browser 'find' toolbars, for instance). Perhaps there should be a 'minimize'
button if the user wants to hide the bar without clearing the field.

I'm not sure if I'm missing something, but there is currently no simple way to
dismiss both the bar and the search term highlights once I find what I'm
searching for. I frequently find myself searching for something, finding what I
want, closing the toolbar, and then having to open it again after noticing that
the search terms are still highlighted. Even if I were to somehow break this
habit, I would still have to manually clear the search field before closing the
search bar each time.

One way to accomodate both our usecases would be to keep the search term as it
is in the search field even after it is closed, but somehow make sure that the
terms in the document aren't highlighted when the bar is closed. However, I'm
not sure if this would be easy or difficult to implement.

This is action item #3 from https://phabricator.kde.org/T9444#160267

Bug 398742 requests new opaque backgrounds for the large sized power-related
icons in system.svgz. This will look better in all places except for as the
icon used for Kickoff's Leave tab. To make sure we don't regress that, let's
create a new icon for that in system.svgz with a new name that's identical to
the existing icon.

If we do this quickly, we'll have 4-5 months to notify the 3rd-party icon
themes so that they can adapt accordingly before Plasma 5.15 is released
(probably most can just symlink an existing icon).

I'm open to other ways of resolving the problem if the approach proposed here
isn't a good idea.

Created attachment 115027

Generally what we want

This bug tracks action item #1 from https://phabricator.kde.org/T9444#160267.

The problem: The Plasma Breeze theme icons used on the SDDM login screen don't
have a solid background of any sort, so their contrast can be poor when put on
top of certain images and colors when there is no blur. For example, a white
icon on top a light-colored image can be almost invisible. Affected icons are:

- system-shutdown
- system-reboot
- system-suspend
- system-hibernate
- system-lock-screen
- system-log-out
- system-switch-user (for this icon, we would also like additional changes -
see Bug 398741)

These icons live in system.svgz in the Breeze Plasma theme.

We'd like *for the large versions only* of these icons to have a solid-colored
circle as their background. I am attaching an exceptionally crude
before-and-after mockup of the kind of thing we're looking for

The Breeze light version should use the colors #FCFCFC for the background
circle, and #232629 for the icon. The Breeze dark version should use #232629
for the background and #FCFCFC for the icon.

  Platform: Debian testing
OS: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED

 Component: Scripting

  Target Milestone: ---

Created attachment 115026
  --> https://bugs.kde.org/attachment.cgi?id=115026=edit
file layers setProperties test files

Hi,

1. Original potential bug using 4.0.4
-

fileLayer.setProperties() seem to prepend the old filename without extension
before the new path.

  # display nodes current path :
  print("node path : ",node.path())
  # node path :
/home/user/file-layers-setProperties/file-layers/file-layer-1.png

  # update file layer path :
  node.setProperties(node.path().replace("file-layer-1", "file-layer-2"),
"None")
  print("node path : ",node.path())
  # node path :
file-layer-1/../file-layers-setProperties/file-layers/file-layer-2.png

  # Expected : file-layers/file-layer-2.png
  # or :
/home/user/file-layers-setProperties/file-layers/file-layer-2.png

2. Evolution using krita 4.1.1 (error message)
--

Was using a trick based on previous observations to update the path using 4.0.4
(see attached script/file), but Krita 4.1.1 now displays an additional error :

Krita has encountered an internal error:
SAFE ASSERT (krita): "QFile::exists(path())" in file
/home/appimage/workspace/Krita_Stable_Appimage_Build/krita/libs/ui/kis_file_layer.cpp,
line 80
Please report a bug to developers!

Press Ignore to try to continue.
Press Abort to see developers information (all unsaved data will be lost)

In the attached zip, a test file, test script and dummy filelayers. Using
4.0.4, no error message is displayed. On both versions, the layer is updated
after save/reload.

To reproduce on my setup :

1. Open filelayer-setProperties-411.kra
2. Tools > Scripting > Scripter : run test.py
3. should print explanation about the trick and update the path
4. create-delete an empty layer if krita didn't detect the edit
5. save file : Krita displays an error message, click "Ignore"
6. close and re-open the file : the layer should be updated (red)

- tested not using the trick under 4.1.1 but the setProperties behaviour is the
same as in 4.0.4
- tested placing the fileLayer source files next to the .kra vs in a subfolder,
but doesn't seem to help

Am I misusing the method / arguments ?
Anyone able to reproduce ?

Bonus question : is there an function to force-reload a fileLayer source file
from python ? For now it seem required to save/close/reopen to display the new
one.

Thanks for any clues, have a nice day !

[krita] [Bug 398739] New: Canvas Accelerator in Krita won't show work window when streaming over OBS

2018-09-16 Thread Percy
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=398739

Bug ID: 398739
Summary: Canvas Accelerator in Krita won't show work window
when streaming over OBS
   Product: krita
   Version: 4.1.1
  Platform: MS Windows
OS: MS Windows
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: major
  Priority: NOR
 Component: CPU Canvas
  Assignee: krita-bugs-n...@kde.org
  Reporter: pendantic.dandel...@gmail.com
  Target Milestone: ---

When I try to stream in OBS, the canvas accelerator prevents the canvas window
from showing up.
The only way for my work to show up in the OBS, I have to disable the canvas
accelerator.
With the canvas accelerator disabled, my work shows up in the OBS but then it
doesn't update in Krita.

Neither the Opengl nor the CPU accelerator work with the OBS. This is strange,
since it was working last week.

[plasmashell] [Bug 398738] New: Plasma crashed after trying to disconnect from a WiFi network. Network name was not shown prior to this

2018-09-16 Thread Serhiy Zahoriya
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=398738

Bug ID: 398738
Summary: Plasma crashed after trying to disconnect from a WiFi
network. Network name was not shown prior to this
   Product: plasmashell
   Version: 5.12.6
  Platform: Ubuntu Packages
OS: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Keywords: drkonqi
  Severity: crash
  Priority: NOR
 Component: general
  Assignee: k...@davidedmundson.co.uk
  Reporter: serhiy@gmail.com
CC: plasma-b...@kde.org
  Target Milestone: 1.0

Application: plasmashell (5.12.6)

Qt Version: 5.9.5
Frameworks Version: 5.44.0
Operating System: Linux 4.15.0-34-generic x86_64
Distribution: Ubuntu 18.04.1 LTS

-- Information about the crash:
- What I was doing when the application crashed:
I clicked on "Disconnect" button of my main WiFi network that was
auto-connected after logging in.

- Unusual behavior I noticed:
I did it becase this networks' name was empty and others had a name shown as
usual.
May be related too: my Firefox was freezing frequently lately on
FUTEX_WAIT_PRIVATE on strace. Did not report that bug yet. System was upgraded
to Kubuntu 18.04 not long ago and had problems with Nvidia drivers, partially
solved.

[Falkon] [Bug 398735] New: Falkon: Loading Some Pages Freeze Entire Browser

2018-09-16 Thread bugzilla_noreply
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=398735

Bug ID: 398735
Summary: Falkon: Loading Some Pages Freeze Entire Browser
   Product: Falkon
   Version: unspecified
  Platform: Chakra
OS: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: critical
  Priority: NOR
 Component: general
  Assignee: now...@gmail.com
  Reporter: william...@me.com
  Target Milestone: ---

When loading a site such as a document in Google Docs (example:
https://docs.google.com/document/d/1t-mgo8ZdPx4ajWafnNXyeEzqVBoTvR-S17uyXpEO2WE/edit?usp=sharing),
Falkon loads the page, but after a second, it tries to repeatedly reload the
page. The reload icon flashes in the favicon area of the page which freezes all
windows of the browser. Only about 15 seconds later will the page stop
refreshing and I am able to interact with any of my open tabs. This has been a
great hinderance to what I would otherwise consider to be a great browsing
experience. Please look into this issue. Thanks!

The code is (still) correct, according to the current Qt 5.11 documentation -
nothing deprecated or changed. There's no other way to achieve this outcome -
we're using all the right functions and setting the appropriate values.

Nate - could it be related to this bug?

2018-09-16 Thread bugzilla_noreply
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=398496

I should also note that it did not show icons at all before I installed the
oxygen icon theme. That seems to indicate that it's pulling icons from the
underlying system, rather than from the AppImage. Is that supposed to happen?
>From what I understand, AppImages are supposed to be completely self-contained,
not relying on anything from the host system.

The icons aren't the only package I have to install to get it to work properly;
I also have to install libnsl to get it to run; the AppImage does not start if
libnsl is not installed on the host. Perhaps this is a separate bug, though.

Still showing oxygen for me. You can see in the terminal that I do have breeze

breeze does not affect anything (I usually just keep it as Adwaita).

I should note that I'm not using standard Fedora, but Fedora Silverblue at the
moment. However, given that the icons are in the standard directory, that
detail shouldn't matter, right?

I can reproduce the bug and will have a look into it. Someone closed libpulses
eventfd(2), while libpulse continues to write to it. A write to the already
closed fd in pa_fdsem_post then triggers assertion. I modified pulseaudio to
get a bit more debug info:

$ strace -e close ./okular 2>&1
[...]
close(19) = 0
close(15) = 0 # who is doing that? and why?
close(15) = 0
close(15) = 0
close(19) = 0
close(21) = 0
[...]
Invalid write to eventfd: fd=15, r=-1, errno=9 # pa_fdsem_post tried writing
fd 15, too late, already closed

I think next thing to check is where the close happened. Could be okular, Qt,
or pulseaudio itself.

https://commits.kde.org/clones/kbibtex/thomasfischer/kbibtex/22460dc4adeb6499c4103d079f9cc7c83932979c

As for compiling and temporary installs, please look at
https://userbase.kde.org/KBibTeX/Development
My example there is to install into /tmp/usr, so it stays outside of the
PMS-managed /usr and requires no su/sudo. It will require to set some
environment variables and will disappear after reboot, though. A small shell
script may help you to automate the task.

[kate] [Bug 398731] New: Search wrapped info message at wrong position

2018-09-16 Thread David Hurka
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=398731

Bug ID: 398731
Summary: Search wrapped info message at wrong position
   Product: kate
   Version: unspecified
  Platform: Other
OS: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: part
  Assignee: kwrite-bugs-n...@kde.org
  Reporter: david.hu...@mailbox.org
  Target Milestone: ---

When incrementally searching using the find bar, the info message appears in
the middle of the text area, sometimes hiding the found result.

Steps to reproduce:
1) Open a large text file
2) Search a word that occurs in the middle of a line using the find bar
3) Hit Enter (find next) until the search continues from top

Result:
The info message appears in the middle, covering the middle of the centered
search result.
Additionally it stays there for a long time, and blocks/queues other info
messages.

Expected result:
Info messages appear instantly at the top/bottom next to the scroll bar with
the text "Continuing search from top/bottom", like it did until some days ago.
This feature is annoying because:
I need to jump through long dataset summary files, where many datasets look
very similar. One dataset is lokated some pages below the other, and I want to
compare them. I use the search bar to jump between them. Now, this centered
info message doesn't change and hides the dataset number, so I don't know where
I am just now.

Unfortunately I couldn't downgrade katepart via aptitude, so I don't know which
module causes the problem. But I think it's katepart.

[latte-dock] [Bug 398728] Strange white bar around latte-dock

Thanks for pointing that out, I'm not aware of that. Now I disabled
PLASMA_USE_QT_SCALING, and the white bar was gone.

As for the PLASMA_USE_QT_SCALING itself, I enabled it because Plasma panel and
context menu icon would be very small otherwise. It looks like Plasma devs are
fixing bugs so that Plasma can eventually use Qt scaling. If this is not the
case, could you please point me to some links that describe the current
situation?

[gcompris] [Bug 398692] GCompris doesn't run on GeForce4 MX 440

Hi,
as discussed on irc, I think the issue should be solved using the software
renderer provided by Qt 5.8.

I've done 2 commits in master:
https://cgit.kde.org/gcompris.git/commit/?id=5015b56bc291f9e89f8946b904c1b74ba91d7598
to have new command line options software-renderer and opengl-renderer to
switch the renderer.
https://cgit.kde.org/gcompris.git/commit/?id=a9282b2c9bf6fbd55c529c05500de68bdce17c9f
that should display a window if openGL fails at start up and switch to software
renderer after a restart (well, as I can't test, I supposed that the function
is at least called and we can store in the settings the new mode)

Unfortunately, I can't test the second fix, so if by any chance you can compile
from master and tell if it works, it would be nice.

Johnny

Plasma devs propose to not be used anymore because it breaks too many things.
One of which is the window geometries. The white box is your video is a
miscalculated area for Blur effect. The reason of the miscalculations is
PLASMA_USE_QT_SCALING, more issues are created also because of that variable
