[konsole] [Bug 401465] Tab title color is not reset to default when activating a tab with changed contents

2018-12-13 Thread Sergey Stolyarov
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=401465

As a temporary workaround you can apply this style via (Settings → Configure
Konsole → TabBar → Use user-defined stylesheet)

QTabBar::tab {
color: black;
}

It will disable highlight color.

   Version: git (master)
  Platform: Other
OS: Linux
Status: REPORTED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: application
  Assignee: mvourla...@gmail.com

It can guess the right color in most cases, but sometimes it can't.
e.g. with these wallpaper, the color of content should be black instead of
white:
+ https://alpha.wallhaven.cc/wallpaper/515193

Could you improve it a bit, or add an option to manually adjust the color when
the panel in the transparent mode?

This has been ongoing issue for me since FreeBSD 11.1. I thought updating to

not working. Please see more detailed info here:

Hope someone can look into this, I really like to have transparency in konsole,
especially when comparing configs in browser in background with whatever I'm
doing in konsole.

I don't see an update available through apt. Where can I find the new version?
The source should be included with KDE right? or do I need to add additional
sources to apt?

Re-opening. Had to revert that commit since it introduced a rather significant

They both have basically the same effect though: they affect how fast the
pointer moves. It's true that the manner is different for the different
profiles, but I don't think revealing that level of specificity is useful in
practice.

[kwin] [Bug 402111] New: Desktop and all programs non-responsive to mouse after resuming from Suspend

2018-12-13 Thread bugzilla_noreply
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=402111

Bug ID: 402111
Summary: Desktop and all programs non-responsive to mouse after
resuming from Suspend
   Product: kwin
   Version: 5.14.4
  Platform: Ubuntu Packages
OS: Linux
Status: REPORTED
  Keywords: drkonqi
  Severity: crash
  Priority: NOR
 Component: general
  Assignee: kwin-bugs-n...@kde.org
  Reporter: darcemas...@hotmail.com
  Target Milestone: ---

Application: kwin_x11 (5.14.4)

Qt Version: 5.11.1
Frameworks Version: 5.52.0
Operating System: Linux 4.18.0-12-generic x86_64
Distribution: Ubuntu 18.10

-- Information about the crash:
- What I was doing when the application crashed:
Resuming Kubuntu from Suspend, repeated manually or by lifting laptop lid then
logging in.
- Unusual behavior I noticed:
Desktop and programs unresponsive to mouse clicks after resuming from Suspend.
Keyboard navigation (.e.g ALT-tab) works as normal.
Panel unresponsive as well as all programs.
Mouse does not register items (e.g. text fields, clickable buttons etc.) and
animations on icons are not triggered on mouse-over.
The login from Suspend screen is also unresponsive to mouse but not keyboard.
Not repeatable from what I can tell.

The crash does not seem to be reproducible.

Glad to hear the original issue seems to be working

Problems with disconnections can be due to a lot of things. On certain networks
I get a lot of disconnects, on other networks everything works perfectly, so my
assumption is that is an unrelated issue. Closing for now. Thanks for your

> You can rename multiple files at once and provide a pattern already. From
> what I recall there's even work going on right now to improve that UI and

With Dolphin 17.12.3 under Kubuntu 18.04 I can only find a very basic
multiple-files renaming tool, that only allows for numbering the files but
erasing their original name. Is my installation missing something ?

>From a duplicate report of this one, somebody also mentioned XFCE's Thunar and
its excellent tool : https://docs.xfce.org/xfce/thunar/bulk-renamer/start When
I was using it under XFCE I felt it offered everything I could require.

I'm not trying to tell KDE developers what to say, but as somebody who came to
Plasma for an interface with more "breadth", and very satisfied, it just seems
odd to me that such a feature isn't included.

If the developers are working on it though, great and kudos to them.

Yes, that's reasonable. However I'm a bit unsure how to propagate the required
information.

It has to be a runtime check, to take the loaded document type into account.
Because even if we don't have HAVE_POPPLER_0_69 defined, font color will work
for all non PDF annotations (i.e. not Okular::Annotation::ExternallyDrawn).

I tend to invent Okular::AnnotationProxy::Capability::FreeTextFontColor, set it
only if HAVE_POPPLER_0_69, and make a AnnotationProxy* gettable via class
Annotation. Then TextAnnotationWidget is able to query the flag. What do you
think about that?

2018-12-13 Thread David Hurka
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=402110

Bug ID: 402110
Summary: Table Selection should not pollute clipboard history
   Product: okular
   Version: unspecified
  Platform: Other
OS: unspecified
Status: REPORTED
  Severity: minor
  Priority: NOR
 Component: general
  Assignee: okular-de...@kde.org

  Target Milestone: ---

Created attachment 116911
  --> https://bugs.kde.org/attachment.cgi?id=116911=edit
Polluted clipboard history

SUMMARY
The Table Selection Tool copies the selection to the clipboard everytime the
table layout is changed.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
(1. Open the clipboard and make it sticky (Possible in Plasma 5))
2. Select a table using the Table Selection Tool
3. Divide the table in another layout than suggested by Okular

OBSERVED RESULT
After 2.: The table is immediately copied to the clipboard
After 3.: Everytime a line is added or removed from the table layout, a new
version of the selection is copied to the clipboard. Older clipboard entries
get lost.
Additionally: There is no context menu entry for "Copy", which would be
intuitive, I think.

EXPECTED RESULT
The table is copied to the clipboard when the action "Copy" is triggered (e. g.
by pressing Ctrl+C).

SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS
Okular version: 1.5.3
Operating System: KDE neon 5.14
KDE Plasma Version: 5.14.4
Qt Version: 5.11.2
KDE Frameworks Version: 5.53.0

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
There is an info message appearing in the top left when the Table Selection
Tool is activated. It says: "Draw a rectangle around the table, then click near
the edges do divide up; press Esc to clear." It doesn't mention the clipboard,
altough is vital for this tool. We could add "Ctrl+C to copy to clipboard;" or
"right click to copy to clipboard;" or ...

PR402006: valgrind-3.14.0-final_tidyup.patch

Plus the following uncommitted proposed patches from this bug:

attachment 116742: valgrind-3.14.0-ppc64-ldbrx.patch
attachment 116790: valgrind-3.14.0-ppc64-unaligned-words.patch

attachment 116861: valgrind-3.14.0-undef_malloc_args.patch

Fedora packages: https://koji.fedoraproject.org/koji/buildinfo?buildID=1171900
Copr packages: https://copr.fedorainfracloud.org/coprs/mjw/valgrind-3.14.0/

Unfortunately neither (build) system has a new enough gcc compiler and the
testresults don't look great. But maybe they help some people with testing.

Any opinions on which of the 7 uncommitted patches should get in or needs more
testing/work?

This seems to be more extensive than only conversations with one message. For
some conversations, I can't see the last "few" messages, even though they show
on my phone. The error of end-truncation seems to be completely reproducible.

The issue with not showing short conversations does not seem to be 100%
reproducible. Sometimes short conversations are completely shown.

[yakuake] [Bug 401246] Unclear shortcut descriptions "In this session", "For this session"

2018-12-13 Thread Simone Gaiarin
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=401246

Yes the "Action" column. I just tried again now to take a screenshot, and they
are not there anymore.

Though these actions are present in the source code (at least I am not becoming
crazy :-) )
https://github.com/panzi/Yakuake/blob/master/app/tabbar.cpp

...figured out while writing this:

if you open a second terminal in the same tab (Right click on the tab name >
Split Left/Right) then the context menu of the tab (Right click on the tab
name) has new items. In particular:
"Monitor for activity > In this session"
"Monitor for silence > In this session"
"Disable keyboard input > For this session"

At this point, these new actions are also available in the "Configure
shortcuts" dialog, but these actions are meaningless there because are not
connected to the "parent item" as it happens in the menu.

This bug is still present in the latest version.

Applications that use KonsolePart do not share shortcuts (by design?). Some of
these shortcuts are not exposed by Yakuake in the configuration window, and so
there is no way to change them.

I've checked and I didn't find the shortcuts your describe.
You're talking about the "Action" column on the "Configure Shortcuts" window,
right ? If not, could you describe where to find them more precisely ?

Also, do you use a locale other than English ?

Hello
After verification, /etc/systemd/journald.conf defaults MaxLevelStore to debug.
But after manualy set it to "info", kdeconnect still sends debug-like messages.

Thank you for the feedback! Unfortunately, Signal is a known issue. From our
quick inspection, it looks like Signal is handling SMS in its own way which,
since it is designed for a privacy focus, makes sense. It is on the future
roadmap to figure out Signal, etc. compatibility, but first we are looking to
do a release with basic features.

I suspect a problem with the AppImage, in your configuration it should not be 5

there are no other changes in the digiKam6 New Item Scan, which could explain
such a behavior. Is there any messages on the console when the scan is in

Do you have anything to update? Is the app still working? It happens once in

[kdenlive] [Bug 398432] Crash when disabling fade transitions if transition isn't the top effect

2018-12-13 Thread Javier O . Cordero Pérez

You need to click on the "eye" icon of the effect for it to crash. I've just
tested on the nightly build AppImage 13-Dec 18, and it's still there.

In-Out points

I added a screenshot from AppImage 13.Dec 18. It’s hard to see the IN/OUT point
(red cyrcles). A marker like the yellow surrouned would be good.

[kdeconnect] [Bug 402105] New: Plex-media-server & kde connect both listen to port 1716

2018-12-13 Thread MathieuA .
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=402105

Bug ID: 402105
Summary: Plex-media-server & kde connect both listen to port
1716
   Product: kdeconnect
   Version: unspecified
  Platform: Ubuntu Packages
OS: Linux
Status: REPORTED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: common
  Assignee: albertv...@gmail.com
  Reporter: mathieu+...@lagilb.fr
  Target Milestone: ---

SUMMARY

Both Plex-media-server and kde-connect seems to listen to port 1716 since kde
connect is a desktop util and plex-media-server is a service plex preempts the
port so kde connect fails to start and offer the service.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. on ubuntu install both kde connect (I use the gnome variant GSConnect) and
plex-media-server (the .deb variant) (link :
https://www.plex.tv/media-server-downloads/#plex-media-server)
2. reboot plex works but kde connect fails to acquire port 1716
2bis. sudo lsof -i :1716 shows port being in use by plex
3. in plex-media-server (http://localhost:32400) in the config/network part
disable all services then restart the server (systemctl restart
plexmediaserver.service)
4. restart kde connect and now it works !

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

Not 100% sure this is a bug, more like a incompatibility that should be noted
in a documentation somewhere (like the page the error message leads to) I could
not find what service plex offers via this port (not very clear in the docs
they do not mention 1716 in the "what ports to open in your firewall" page for
plex )

[plasma-browser-integration] [Bug 395461] multiple video support

Same behavior here with multiple videos on version 1.4

Even having the ability to select the current tabs playing audio on the
plasmoid with the "player picker" could make the navigation on multiple video
streams more easy, but i wonder wouldn't be easy to just pause the new videos
or have an option to only have one video stream playing at a time and pause any
new or old tabs. Since when having multiple videos open in my case im not
really watching both a time but i can see the plasmoid misbehaving.

[kmymoney] [Bug 402101] Re using check numbers

2018-12-13 Thread Jack
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=402101

I believe it is behaving as designed. I don't remember when the restriction
that numbers be unique within an account, but it likely based on checking
accounts, where duplicate numbers generally cause problems.

When it asks if you want to use the next available number, the result is not
the same no matter which reply you choose. If you say "yes" it replaces what
you entered with the new number. If you say "no" it does not replace it, but
does remove it, because it would be a duplicate, which is not allowed.

You might consider making this bug a wishlist, so that each account has a
configuration setting whether or not to enforce unique numbers.
