https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=405056

Bug ID: 405056
Summary: "New Project" icon is dark when it should be light
   Product: kdenlive
   Version: 18.12.1
  Platform: MS Windows
OS: MS Windows
Status: REPORTED
  Severity: minor
  Priority: NOR
 Component: User Interface
  Assignee: j...@kdenlive.org
  Reporter: jensen...@gmail.com
  Target Milestone: ---

Created attachment 118521
  --> https://bugs.kde.org/attachment.cgi?id=118521=edit
picture of the "New Project" button in the "File" dropdown menu.

SUMMARY
"New Project" icon in the "File" drop-down menu is dark gray. It should be
light gray instead.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Install kdenlive 64 bit on Windows 7 64 bit.
2. Run kdenlive
3. Click "File" in the upper-left corner of the program window.

OBSERVED RESULT
The icon for "New Project" is dark.
(see this picture: https://i.imgur.com/eKi3YjS.jpg)
The darkness of the icon made me initially think that it was impossible to
create a new project.

EXPECTED RESULT
The button should be light grey like the other icons in this drop-down menu.

whatsmyuseragent.org indicates the user agent is changed.

While looking for a solution yesterday (I don't find any) it seems that other
ones have the same problem:
https://meetfranz.com/support

Don't know "what" is cleaned up here for their solution.

As I tried to remove the whatsapp cookies yesterday, it seems that the cookie
removal is broken.
At least "remove" does not remove anything.

Bug ID: 405054
Summary: [refactoring_timeline] image clip not consistent
between timeline preview and high quality with
transform applied
   Product: kdenlive
   Version: git-master
  Platform: Other
OS: Linux
Status: REPORTED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: Effects & Transitions

image clipping

kdenlive 19.03.70
mlt 6.13
ffmpeg 4.0.2-2
git repo branch origin/refactoring_timeline 76bca9ab6

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. add an image to timeline
2. switch timeline composition to preview
3. apply a transform effect on the clip.

OBSERVED RESULT
under preview, the image moves slightly downward, results in image clipping.

EXPECTED RESULT
the image should stay in the same position under preview and high quality
composition.
This can be reproduced with 18.12.1 as well.

There is a slight difference even without the transform effect, but i think
that is just the resolution between the two modes.

[frameworks-kactivities] [Bug 405033] Manual sorting of activities

2019-03-03 Thread Shriramana Sharma
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=405033

Hello. I have the activity pager applet on my panel where I can wheel to move
through activities in the defined order. I understand that the “Walk through
activities” implementation accessible by Meta+Tab navigates in the most
recently used order so any defined order would not be useful there but with the
pager it is useful. I have also filed bug #405035 asking for “Switch to
next/previous activity” actions/shortcuts. Thus the ability to specify the
order is indeed useful.

Yes. It is my understanding that under the Qt/KDE framework Actions are created

OS: Linux
Status: REPORTED

SUMMARY

kdenlive 19.03.70
mlt 6.13

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. add a clip to project bin
2. mark a zone and add it to timeline
3. apply freeze effect to clip in timeline

OBSERVED RESULT
when "Freeze at" is at 00:00:00,00
a frame outside the imported zone on the timeline is displayed. The frame
displayed is like a minute after zone out

EXPECTED RESULT
when "Freeze at" is at 00:00:00,00
the first frame of the imported zone should be displayed. 18.12.1 exhibits this
behaviour.

As such freeze before/freeze after does not freeze at selected frame.

Git commit 5c77cc29db5966a7ef227f20da8d54a264f28746 by Alexander Akulich.
Committed on 03/03/2019 at 22:45.
Pushed by akulichalexandr into branch 'Applications/18.12'.

Fix escape/url filter URL placeholder backward substitution

The placeholder ends with a decimal URL index. The substitution is an
incremental pass from zero index, so when the placeholder is substituted
back to URL the replacing code matches incomplete index and we got a
messed URLs.

(Replace of `#K#T#P1` messes up `#K#T#P10` and `#K#T#P11`)

Add a end marker to the placeholder scheme to never mess URL.

Thank you Jochen for your help.
But the manual installation seems to be far beyond my capability.

This is a bug, so it needs to stay open.

Bug reports are not assigned to individual people with others not allowed to
comment unless invited. That's not how it works around here. You're welcome to
stay around, but it would be helpful ot review your knowledge of KDE bug
tracker procedures and etiquette.

Again, I encourage you to read
https://community.kde.org/Get_Involved/Bug_Reporting#Bug_tracker_etiquette.

I've had the same issues as described and got it to work doing two things.

1. I've changed the solver setting in the Astrometry.net panel by unchecking
"solver" (which disabled *Internal solver*) and entered the path
"/Applications/KStars.app/Contents/MacOS/astrometry/bin/solve-field". The
setting *Internal solver* seems not to link to it internally.

2. I've installed netpbm manually using homebrew. It seems that netbpm supplied
by Kstars itself isn't working or even not used at all.

[k3b] [Bug 405046] New: Crash while ripping audio from CD

2019-03-03 Thread Jonathan Wakely

  Platform: Fedora RPMs
OS: Linux
Status: REPORTED
  Keywords: drkonqi
  Severity: crash

Qt Version: 5.11.3
Frameworks Version: 5.54.0
Operating System: Linux 4.20.8-100.fc28.x86_64 x86_64
Distribution: "Fedora release 28 (Twenty Eight)"

-- Information about the crash:
- What I was doing when the application crashed:

Ripping audio from a CDR copy of an audio CD. The output format was variable
bitrate MP3.

There were five files created, so either it crashed while ripping the fifth or
just before starting the sixth.

I deleted the fifth track and tried ripping again from track 5 onwards, and it
worked OK. I also tried ripping the whole album again (to a different
directory) and that also worked.

The crash does not seem to be reproducible.

   Version: 5.15.2

Video of bug

SUMMARY
I reported this as a Latte Dock bug at
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=404979, but it affects Plasma panels.

When a panel is set to Auto Hide and cursor axes are reversed via libinput,
moving the cursor to the panel to reveal the panel will teleport the cursor to
the top left of the screen. Once the panel becomes visible, it can be
interacted with normally, but the process of revealing the panel makes the
cursor teleport.

When the panel visibility is set to Windows Can Cover, revealing the panel
triggers the bug. When the visibility is Always Visible or Windows Go Below,
the panel is never revealed so the bug does not occur.

If the panel is made visible and then the cursor is quickly moved onto the
panel (before it auto-hides again) it can be interacted with normally, but once
the cursor is removed from the panel and the panel auto-hides, revealing the
panel will teleport the cursor again.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Run `xinput list` to get your mouse/touchpad device ID, run `xinput set-prop
ID "Coordinate Transform Matrix" -1 0 0 0 -1 0 0 0 1` to invert the pointer x/y
axes.
2. Move cursor onto a hidden panel to reveal it.

OBSERVED RESULT
Cursor teleports to top left of screen.

EXPECTED RESULT
Cursor should move onto panel.

Fix "Invalid URL: QUrl("some.txt")" warnings in Save dialog

When the Save File dialog is in use with filters, any relative path
would trigger warnings due to KIO::stat receiving an invalid URL in
KFileWidgetPrivate::updateLocationEditExtension. Fix the warning by
ensuring that relative paths are valid file URLs.

Add a bunch of tests to check the expected properties while at it. These
tests pass regardless of the fix but after the fix, warnings are gone.

Thanks for the backtrace.

This seems a known issue then, triggered by Qt 5.12, which also got fixed
already in the development versions of KDevelop.
Maintainers are aware of that and looking into finding time over other things
in life to get a 5.3.2 release done soonish which contains the fix.

Bug not reported to be handle by something not observing KDE own rules. Second

Dolphin uses KIO for creating new files (-> filewidgets/knewfilemenu.cpp) and
there is the same problem here. Umask is ignored, the default file permission
for new text files is alwas -rw-r--r-- and nobody noticed yet.

@Nate
Happy to try it - as soon as I've figured out how to build and install KIO and
dependencies into a custom directory without affecting my system. I'm not that
good with the cmake/make.

New crash information added by DrKonqi

ktorrent (5.1.1) using Qt 5.11.3

Worth mention:
Connecting through local OpenVPN server running on BananaPiM!+ with 4096
encryption.
Torrents are set to be moved to NAS running on RaspberryPi3+ mounted with sshfs
to local machine where error accured using using the same OVPN connection..

When a large file is moved between RPI NAS and local machine through OVPN its
very slow and it sometimes make all the KDE slow when seraching files or
browsig folders in Dolphin. To boost local machine i trid to close Ktorrent
from the task bar => close. At the time 3 files where copied.

When viewing short videos/GIFs within Digikam they tend to play quickly once
and then go to a black preview window until you manually restart the animation.

I propose adding in a toggle to allow the user to toggle if the current
video/animation they are viewing loops or if it ends after it is done it's
current playthrough.

For my taste a not so nice solution, all settings should be remembered somehow

[plasmashell] [Bug 405040] New: "Alternatives..." menu-item give wrong impression that I can install an alternative of the clicked task

2019-03-03 Thread Lionel Chauvin
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=405040

Bug ID: 405040
Summary: "Alternatives..." menu-item give wrong impression that
I can install an alternative of the clicked task
   Product: plasmashell
   Version: master
  Platform: Other
OS: Linux
Status: REPORTED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: Task Manager
  Assignee: h...@kde.org
  Reporter: megabig...@yahoo.fr
CC: plasma-b...@kde.org
  Target Milestone: 1.0

This patch https://phabricator.kde.org/D19472 added a new "Alternatives .."
item that provides a way to install an alternative of task manager.

This feature is cool but is misleading because it gives the impression I can
install an alternative of the clicked task (for instance Konsole).

In order to remove this ambiguity I propose to create a submenu "Task manager
>" with "Configure ..." and "Alternatives ..." items.

Sorry, the report sounds strange because I wrote the first sentence before
trying to restart plasmashell to see if I would get time remaining back when
not connected to an external display. To be clear, time remaining seems to work
when it doesn't think I'm connected to an external display. By the way, I would
like to see an estimate even when connected to an external display, so why
wouldn't it show then?

  Target Milestone: 1.0

Ever since I updated to plasma 5.15.x, I no longer get an estimate of the time
remaining.

It seems to be related to the fact that I often plug in an external monitor.
The widget shows a warning that the computer is configured to not suspend when
the lid is closed when an external monitor is connected, and that shows when
NOT connected to an external monitor if I disconnect the monitor when the
computer is suspended. If I restart plasmashell, the warning goes away and
remaining time is displayed.

If a vector shape is created with fill set to pattern

1. Select Rectangle Tool (or Ellipse, ...). In the tool options set fill to
pattern.
2. Change the pattern in patterns docker.
3. Draw the shape.

The shape is filled with a gradient instead of current pattern from resource
manager. There is a null pointer KisTool's d->currentPattern.
