[Discover] [Bug 405102] New: (Lubuntu 19.10) Japanese translation of discover

2019-03-04 Thread FuRuYa7
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=405102

Bug ID: 405102
Summary: (Lubuntu 19.10) Japanese translation of discover
   Product: Discover
   Version: 5.15.1
  Platform: Other
OS: Linux
Status: REPORTED
  Severity: wishlist
  Priority: NOR
 Component: discover

plasma_applet_org.kde.discovernotifier.mo, libdiscover.mo Translation file

## SUMMARY

It is not a trouble report.
I have translated the "Discover" application into Japanese. Just translation
from English to Japanese makes it very easy to use. Unfortunately, the new
"Lubuntu" has not been translated into Japanese too much.

I would like to contribute to Japanese translation work. I think that
participation in the "KDE Localization" mailing list is a clear method. But I
do not have enough "SVN" skills or energy to contribute.

I translated it into Japanese by referring to some files such as
"/usr/share/locale/fr/LC_MESSAGES/plasma-discover.mo" of Lubuntu. I want to
share it. I uploaded it here and reported it.

Hi Konstantin,

please provide the needed information, e.g. software versions, distro, and
video driver.

Personally, I have crashes and freezes on nouveau video driver because of the
used WebEngine view, but such issue is not related to KTp.

Looks like there is a lot in the terminal before the commands I told you to
run. But I do see them at the bottom. Would probably be better to start a new
terminal session. Also your last command accidentally got broken up into
different commands with "enter" key strokes, but I still notice something
interesting:

Is your KStars located in /Applications/KStars.app???

I'm concerned it says:

I too am encountering this. After switching between brushes or tools (for me,
always with the right-click menu), the canvas will freeze. Just the canvas
though. I can still save and change tools, but I can't draw. The cursor won't
even appear when I mouse over the canvas.

I can only fix this by closing and reloading.

CUDA also seems to be active with me, but I do not have an NVIDIA graphics card

Another thing is OpenMP, my OpenCV version of openSUSE is without OpenMP,
timokau's OpenCV is with OpenMP.

Yes I understand it failed. But after it failed, copy and paste the commands
it used to terminal to see if it solves in the terminal. If it fails in the
terminal too, it will print a lot more detail as to why. The log we need is
not the KStars log because there is no way it can get the information back from
astrometry as to why it is failing. We really need the terminal output showing
what astrometry.net is doing.

SUMMARY
GtkComboBox list doesn't scroll if it is higher than screen

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
Click on a ComboBox to open its list that is higher than screen. I used
LibreOffice 6.2.0 Format -> Character -> Font -> Language.

OBSERVED RESULT
The bottom of the list goes below the bottom of the screen and the list doesn't
scroll neither with mouse wheel, nor with keyboard so that the lower part of
the list can't be made visible, although it is possible to make selection
blindly.

EXPECTED RESULT
The list should scroll with mouse wheel or keyboard.

SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS
Manjaro Linux 18.0.3
Qt Version: 5.12.1
Gtk Version: 3.24.5

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
The issue appeared after update of gtk3 to 3.24.4 and it remains with gtk3
3.24.5. With gtk3 3.24.3 the list scrolls as expected.
Adwaita and Adapta themes doesn't have this issue.

[plasmashell] [Bug 403783] Laptop running Plasma slows down when 2nd monitor is plugged in via HDMI

Is it possible to reopen this report? Turns out that it wasn't solved.

This was the frequencies on my laptop when I plugged a second monitor:
$ cpufreq-info | grep -i "current CPU freq"
current CPU frequency is 1.54 GHz.
current CPU frequency is 1.58 GHz.
current CPU frequency is 1.73 GHz.
current CPU frequency is 1.83 GHz.

Sometimes performance comes back after unplugging it, other times, reboot is
required.

After reboot:
$ cpufreq-info | grep -i "current CPU freq"
current CPU frequency is 2.95 GHz.
current CPU frequency is 2.79 GHz.
current CPU frequency is 2.85 GHz.
current CPU frequency is 2.78 GHz.

Rob, it is too complicate for me.
We could manage a TeamViewer session if you want.
I tried again on my desktop iMac 27" and laptop MacBook Pro.
Plenty of RAM and disk.
For the test I used the same simulated photo of Menkalinan.
Scope focal length = 1960mm, FOV = 31' x 23'
CCD simulator = 4656 x 3520 pixel, 3.80 x 3.80 micron
I clicked on the Load & Slew button of the Solver panel.
I did the test with 3 KStars versions : 298, 300, 310
298, 300 : success on both machines
310 : failure on both machines.
The Astrometry app of CloudMakers solved the photo immediately.

[skrooge] [Bug 405099] New: Flatpak missing skrooge_import_ofx.so, so OFX/QFX import is gone from Import filter list.

2019-03-04 Thread skierpage
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=405099

Bug ID: 405099
Summary: Flatpak missing skrooge_import_ofx.so, so OFX/QFX
import is gone from Import filter list.
   Product: skrooge
   Version: 2.17.0
  Platform: Flatpak
OS: Linux
Status: REPORTED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: general
  Assignee: guillaume.deb...@gmail.com
  Reporter: skierp...@gmail.com
CC: steph...@mankowski.fr
  Target Milestone: ---

SUMMARY
I run the skrooge flatpak from Flathub, currently at version 2.17.0. I noticed
I couldn't import a .qfx file with File > Import > Import... . The file panel
doesn't show the .qfx file and the Filter pop-up menu no longer has a menu item
for "OFX file" which includes QFX files as well.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Install the Skrooge flatpak
2. Open the import dialog with File > Import > Import...
3. Click the Filter pop-up.

OBSERVED RESULT
No "OFX file" menu item.

EXPECTED RESULT
It should still be there. All the other formats like AFB120 file are still
present.
I looked in the flatpak directory, in my case
/var/lib/flatpak/app/org.kde.skrooge/x86_64/stable/45aeaaced4b90b911412f700d3a890b7e08c9f3e70ae9906b6af20368041400f/files
, and the file skrooge_import_ofx.so is missing, as is
skrooge_add_operation.so. Hmmm.

SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS
Linux/KDE Plasma:
(available in About System)
KDE Plasma Version: 5.14.5
KDE Frameworks Version: 5.53.0
Qt Version: 5.11.3

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Is there a better source for a Skrooge flatpak?

KDE's "File Save Dialog" shows a capacity bar when you hover a device in the
dialog's places panel.

On a slight irrelevant note freeze did not work at all when switched from
preview to high quality ( that was on 18.04 from the ubuntu repo)

I couldn't find the preview quality setting on 18.12.1 (appimage) but i wonder
if the issue still persists.

freeze effect is not present on the 19.03.70 (compiled from source) so I
couldn't test that one out.

Rob changed:

So this wasn't a bug, this was the intended behavior. Basically when I build
the software for the DMG, it creates the astrometry config file with the path
on my computer. In response to some complaints about this path being wrong in
the last beta version, I added this dialog and stored the correct path so that
it could be easily changed with one click.

But based on your comment here, and a discussion with Jasem, I guess that users
would be confused by this dialog coming up every time they update the software.
So, instead, I came up with a way to automate the process. In the next
version, it will automatically update the path in the astrometry config file
without needing user intervention.

This happended to me twice during editing videos in 18.12.1 under ubuntu.

But reproducing this would be pretty difficult, I can only confirm the
duplication only happens upon restarting kdenlive and loading the project.

My project was about 2 - 4 minutes during edit with about 80 clips, so I'd say
the project length is irrelevant.

So disabling the internal solver or installing another version of netpbm will
probably get it working on your system, but if there is an issue with the one I
packaged up in the app bundle, it would be good to know what it is. The
internal netpbm is definitely used, but maybe there is an issue on your system.
I tested on several different Macs but found no issues, but that doesn't mean
that there aren't any.

Can you please test to verify what the issue actually is by running the solver
from the command line using the internal python and the internal netpbm?

The steps to do that are as follows.

1. Try to plate solve an image using KStars. (Simulators or otherwise) It
will print all the commands to the log below. They should be similar to the
ones I'm posting below. (If you don't see these commands, turn on Alignment in
the logging options)

2. Go to a Terminal window and type these commands to see if it solves. Please
post your results.

The Terminal commands to use (yours might differ slightly):

export
PATH=/Applications/kstars.app/Contents/MacOS/netpbm/bin:/Applications/kstars.app/Contents/MacOS/python/bin:/usr/local/bin:/usr/local/sbin:/usr/local/bin:/usr/bin:/bin:/usr/sbin:/sbin:/opt/X11/bin

export
PYTHONPATH=/Applications/kstars.app/Contents/MacOS/python/bin/site-packages

/Applications/kstars.app/Contents/MacOS/astrometry/bin/solve-field -O
--no-plots --no-verify --resort --downsample 2 -3 351.405 -4 61.698 -5 30
--config /Applications/kstars.app/Contents/MacOS/astrometry/bin/astrometry.cfg
-W /private/var/folders/l3/yznjwk917w9_f9qglkhkndprgn/T/solution.wcs
/private/var/folders/l3/yznjwk917w9_f9qglkhkndprgn/T/fitstVCXWV.fits

Note that the
"/private/var/folders/l3/yznjwk917w9_f9qglkhkndprgn/T/fitstVCXWV.fits" is a
temporary file and you will need to replace that with yours.

Thanks,

Rob

In the 5.0/Master branch, kmymoney contains four different QPrinter instances,
in the Checkprinting plugin, in the KHomeView, KReportTab and KReportDlg class,
which means that you may need to enter custom settings 4 times in a kmymoney
session.

In addition, if printing is canceled, any previously set changes to the print
settings will be lost because the QPrinter instance will be destroyed.

SUMMARY

STEPS TO REPRODUCE

3. mouse wheel change volume of the media player app
4. mouse wheel should jump +/-10 seconds in the stream

OBSERVED RESULT

when mouse wheel click on the media player plasmoid the stream will stop so use
the mouse wheel jump in the stream back and forth would be very intuitive.

when you listen an media stream you maybe change the volume once (therefore you
can use the volume symbol in the system tray) but jump back/forth is not so
uncommon. e.g. netflix offers jump back button.

[wayland] Implement belongsToDesktop check

Summary:
When user asks KWin to show desktop, the compositor just raises every
desktop window, it doesn't attempt to minimize normal clients, etc.
Because desktop windows contain stuff like background and icons, the
compositor has to raise all clients that are somehow correlated with
desktop (e.g. panels, etc). Otherwise it would pretty weird to show only
desktop background.

Currently, not all plasmashell's clients are raised when the compositor
shows desktop because belongsToDesktop is not implemented for ShellClient.

Test Plan:
* Show desktop;
* Open Kickoff (without this patch Kickoff is not visible).

[dolphin] [Bug 405095] New: File upload needs a search option

2019-03-04 Thread bugzilla_noreply
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=405095

Bug ID: 405095
Summary: File upload needs a search option
   Product: dolphin
   Version: unspecified
  Platform: Kubuntu Packages
OS: Linux
Status: REPORTED
  Severity: wishlist
  Priority: NOR
 Component: bars: location
  Assignee: dolphin-bugs-n...@kde.org
  Reporter: nathan.figue...@gmail.com
  Target Milestone: ---

SUMMARY
Search for files in the file upload window.

I am sure there is a way to alter the default configuration for the window
called by Firefox so that it offers the ability to search. I don't know how to
do it yet, but for future releases could you please add that functionality by
default?

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Change Firefox default file manager to Dolphin
2. Click on 'upload file' on a website
3. Try to see if you remember exactly where and when the file you are uploading
is.

OBSERVED RESULT
There is no in window way to alter the configuration. It does not take a cue
from the global defaults either.

EXPECTED RESULT
Be able to search for a file to upload, something Windows actually gets right.

SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS
Kubuntu 18.10
Plasma 5.50.0

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
I never actually noticed this as missing since I rarely used Windows, but the
user requested this functionality and I was surprised to find it was neither
easy to find nor could I find other people talking about it.

[frameworks-baloo] [Bug 405094] New: Symbols in long name break search

2019-03-04 Thread bugzilla_noreply
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=405094

Bug ID: 405094
Summary: Symbols in long name break search
   Product: frameworks-baloo
   Version: 5.50.0
  Platform: Kubuntu Packages
OS: Linux
Status: REPORTED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: Engine
  Assignee: baloo-bugs-n...@kde.org
  Reporter: nathan.figue...@gmail.com
  Target Milestone: ---

Summary: User creates files with names that are a mix of symbols, spaces, and
alphanumerics. When they type in the intuitive portions of the file name Baloo
sometimes fails to retrieve the file. More specifically, it appears that Baloo
does not like numbers that are part of a word

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Create txt files named
'AB - ABC - 1st'
'AB - ABC - 1 Filler'
'AB - ABC - 1st Filler'
2. Search for 'AB'
3. Search for 'AB 1'

OBSERVED RESULT
Searching for 'AB' finds #1-3
Searching for 'AB 1' finds only #2

EXPECTED RESULT
Both should return all 3.

SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS

Kubuntu 18.10
Plasma 5.50.0

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
There seem to be another bug surrounding how blank spaces are treated if you
try to search for multiple terms in a file name without spaces (e.g. AB-ABC-1st
does not show up with 'AB 1' or 'AB+1', but does show up with 'AB' or 'AB '. I
intuitively feel that these are related, but I honestly have nothing to back
that up.
