I have seemingly related problem.

I've been using Shift+Tab as a shortcut for "Next Session" action. Starting
from KDE Applications 19.04.0 / KF 5.57 pressing Shift+Tab in Yakuake causes
"ambigious shortcut" warning.

I checked all Global Shortcuts for Shift+Tab entry and found none. I also
removed Shift+Tab binding in Konsole, but that didn't help.

Thanks for account section, but the cause to your problem lies in those 756
entries you found (presumably most of them being of type SPLIT).

4.7.2 is rather old and is superseded by more than a handful of releases
already. I doubt we will do anything there.

Since you're at the XML level already, you can try to use a script I provided
for the purpose of finding splits causing rounding problems. You can find it at

2019-04-22 Thread Karthik Periagaram
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=406796

Bug ID: 406796
Summary: Renaming tag does not refresh the places panel
   Product: dolphin
   Version: 19.04.0
  Platform: Archlinux Packages
OS: Linux
Status: REPORTED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: panels: places
  Assignee: dolphin-bugs-n...@kde.org
  Reporter: karthik.periaga...@gmail.com
  Target Milestone: ---

SUMMARY

In Dolphin 19.04.0, the left panel, shows tags. Renaming a tag does change the
tag, but it does not update the left panel.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Open dolphin and click on All tags in the left panel to show all tags.
2. Select a tag and use F2 to rename the tag to something else.
3.

OBSERVED RESULT

The tag is correctly changed. The All tags view shows the new tag. Mousing over
the files shows the tag has indeed changed.

However, the left panel continues to show the old tag name. Dolphin needs to be
restarted to show the change in the left panel.

EXPECTED RESULT

The left panel should show the new tag name when it is changed in the All tags
view.

My apologies if I was clear, the window snap is working as intended, the smart
placement algorithm is not. It is not taking into account the window
decorations when calculating the "left" side of the window when being placed on
an empty desktop.

It should place the window on the desktop showing the full window decoration.

And you are correct, it is what the code is doing. This is the bug... :)

OS: Linux
Status: REPORTED
  Severity: normal

SUMMARY
The image split option is throwing error, when trying to do so.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Open a project with a long image, (mine is 800 x 1)
2. go to Image -> Image Split -> Choose any type to save (I tried with jpeg and
kra types) -> Choose a folder to save the split images in
3. Horizontal lines 10, Vertical lines 0, give prefered prefix and click apply.

OBSERVED RESULT

An error box opens up with the following message :

SAFE ASSERT (krita): "!sanityCheckPointer.isValid()" in file
/home/appimage/workspace/Krita_Release_Appimage_Build/krita/libs/ui/KisDocument.cpp,
line 500

Then it asks to ignore or abort. Clicking on ignore just resulted in the same
popup again and again. Clicking on abort closed Krita.

EXPECTED RESULT

The single long image, will be split and saved into 10 images in the selected
folder.

I don't think we are talking about different things, but rather the thing being
positively broken at the moment, while it is probably not our fault.

Here is the working/broken list against Qt:
krita-4.1.7-x86_64.appimage (Qt 5.9) [WORKING]
krita-4.1.8 Manjaro distro (Qt 5.12.2) [BROKEN]
krita-4.2.0-pre-alpha-2ef3036a-x86_64.appimage (Qt 5.12) [BROKEN]
krita-4.2.0-pre-alpha-1fd8aa7-x86_64.appimage (Qt 5.12) [BROKEN]

I think it's really hard not to suspect Qt on this one.

Revamp grid browser delegates to improve UI

Summary:
This patch changes the grid browser delegates in the following ways:
- Labels are centered
- Album art size increases from 100px to 170px, making the album view more
attractive and leaving more room for labels
- Hover buttons now appear in the corner, have borders, and no longer make the
album art get washed out when the delegate is hovered
- Some minor layout and positioning bugs are fixed

As a result, the following bugs are fixed:
Related: bug 406468

Also, the last usage of QQC1 in this component is removed as a side effect.

Test Plan:
Everything still works and there are no behavioral changes.

[kmymoney] [Bug 406794] New: Cannot relocate loan account

2019-04-22 Thread bugzilla_noreply
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=406794

Bug ID: 406794
   Summary: Cannot relocate loan account
   Product: kmymoney
   Version: 4.7.2
  Platform: Mint (Debian based)
OS: Linux
Status: REPORTED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: general
  Assignee: kmymoney-de...@kde.org
  Reporter: lp.allar...@gmail.com
  Target Milestone: ---

SUMMARY

I am trying to relocate a closed loan account in the accounts hierarchy, option
"Edit > Modify other loan information" does not allow me to choose its parent
account, and "Edit > Modify loan attributes" makes KMM crash with the following
error msg:

Unknown schedule id 'SCH000124' in file
/build/kmymoney-Dt2Zsa/kmymoney-4.7.2/kmymoney/mymoney/storage/mymoneyseqaccessmgr.cpp
line 1,285

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Close a loan account
2. Try to relocate it in the accounts family tree (hierarchy)
3. KMM crashes

OBSERVED RESULT
Loan accounts cannot be relocated in the hierarchy, and KMM crashes

EXPECTED RESULT
KMM should allow relocating a loan account like for other types of accounts,
and should not crash.

SUMMARY

I have a cash account that I used as a brokerage account for investment
contributions. Basically, I had a schedule that transferred an amount every
other week from my chequing account to this cash account, and once in a while I
was performing stocks purchases from this account. The balance of this account
was normally zero (since it was only to temporarily hold money).

I have terminated this plan with the investment firm so naturally I have sold
everything in KMM so the investment account balance = 0, then closed the
account and deleted the scheduled transaction. For some reasons, I cannot
close the brokerage/cash account. KMM wont let me. How to proceed with
finding the root cause of this? I have opened my kmy file as xml and found the
relevant section for this account:

Unfortunately, searching the xml file for the account ID yielded 756 results...
Not so helpful.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE

See description above.

OBSERVED RESULT
Cannot close cash account although its balance is ZERO and no scheduled
transactions are using it.

EXPECTED RESULT
Unused accounts with balance=0 should be closed without issues.

BTW, the reason for the lack of version numbers on Flathub is because they read
the release key from the app's AppStream data. So we need to find some way to
programmatically populate this information in each app's AppData file. See
https://www.freedesktop.org/software/appstream/docs/chap-Metadata.html

[lattedock] [Bug 406789] [Feature Request] Show only minimized tasks

2019-04-22 Thread Carson Black
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=406789

Let's say one user is creating a setup that is supposed to resemble macOS. They
use Latte as their dock and want functionality similar to how macOS handles
minimizing (the windows do the classic "genie effect" and shrink to fit into a
thumbnail on the dock). While using show only minimized tasks, a similar effect
can be done, albeit with an icon instead of a window thumbnail. Considering the
popularity of setups that try to copy macOS, this seems like something that
could be used to enhance the quality of those setups. You can see an example of
a setup that could be possible with the Latte plasmoid here:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yLDwXNiU9gs [the setup is using the icons only
task manager as a substitute for the latte plasmoid]

Another user could use the functionality to recreate the iconify effect found
in WMs like TWM, where windows don't minimize, rather, they shrink into a newly
created icon somewhere on the desktop.

2019-04-22 Thread Nicholas Estrada

Bug ID: 406792
Summary: Kdenlive crashes when trying to load pre-last-update
project
   Product: kdenlive
   Version: 19.04.0
  Platform: Neon Packages
OS: Linux
Status: REPORTED
  Severity: critical
  Priority: NOR
 Component: User Interface
  Assignee: j...@kdenlive.org
  Reporter: 116ni...@gmail.com
  Target Milestone: ---

Kdenlive crashes immediately when I try to open a project that I was working on
a week ago before the 19.04 update. I was leery of updating because I thought
this might happen, but I decided to do it anyway and revert if needed. However,
the worst is what happened. As soon as I try to open this project, it dies
completely and I get the "Program Crashed" dialog.

Everything else seems to work just fine. New projects seem to save just fine.
Opening these new projects also seems to work just fine. The new update just
broke compatibility with old projects. Bug report output below:

SUMMARY

I cannot see visual feedback when I adjust my keyboard brightness on my ASUS
ROG GL552VW. I have the ASUS keyboard driver installed, python-dbus and much
more things which I thought could fix the problem. On GNOME, I can see when I
adjust my brightness. The keys themselves adjust the brightness, but KDE
doesn't display it. However, if I configure it from Powerdevil itself by
dragging the scroler it works.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
I don't think I really need to explain how to press a button to adjust
brightness. I guess 1st install Arch. 2nd install plasma. 3rd, do the same
thing I did.

OBSERVED RESULT
Already explained at the top.

EXPECTED RESULT
Explained at the top as well.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Other than that you have to fix KWin when it comes to glxgears because when I
maximize it my computer freezes for mad 30 seconds, I don't know what else I
could say. I love the DE anyways. It's other than that stable and customizable.

Either way, that's how I noticed that this particular one was outdated.

Yes, you right, I was mistaken. 19.04 has fix for file location, but unlike of
master branch, the patch haven't code for octave, my fault.
I will add fix for this tommorow, and it will be in 19.04.1

[lattedock] [Bug 406789] New: [Feature Request] Show only minimized tasks

2019-04-22 Thread Carson Black
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=406789

Bug ID: 406789
Summary: [Feature Request] Show only minimized tasks
   Product: lattedock
   Version: unspecified
  Platform: openSUSE RPMs
OS: Linux
Status: REPORTED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: plasmoid
  Assignee: mvourla...@gmail.com
  Reporter: uhh...@gmail.com
  Target Milestone: ---

SUMMARY
As the title implies, this is a feature request to have a config option to only
show minimized tasks a la the Plasma task manager widget.

OBSERVED RESULT
Look in tasks and see option to show only minimized tasks

EXPECTED RESULT
Look in tasks and doesn't see option to show only minimized tasks

SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS
Linux/KDE Plasma: openSUSE Tumbleweed (20190420)
KDE Plasma Version: 5.15.4
KDE Frameworks Version: 5.57.0
Qt Version: 5.12.2
Latte Version: 0.8.8

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
I was poking at the source code earlier and noticed the usage of the
org.kde.taskmanager QML widget, which already seems to have the ability to show
only minimized tasks. It should be possible to add a configuration option and
then wire the necessary UI and QML options relatively easily.

There's a few build-deps that labplot seems to be missing. The cmake output
from labplot doesn't give a list of these which means our tools don't pick up
that they are missing.

Not really, manifesto is for things we do. Nowhere in there it says "KDE won't

> Why do you need this package?

I was attempting to compile the latest version of Labplot2, and it currently
seems to want some of the Cantor header files.

The specific message it gives is:
> src/backend/cantorWorksheet/CantorWorksheet.h:33:10: fatal error:
> cantor/session.h: No such file or directory

The fact that the CMakeLists.txt file doesn't attempt to locate the Cantor
development files first is an entirely separate bug, and since I'm attempting
to build from the 'master' branch it's one I don't think requires actually
reporting. I'm sure the devs know and just haven't gotten around to it.

[okular] [Bug 406237] PDFs get an added margin when printing

2019-04-22 Thread Matthew Trescott
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=406237

Matthew Trescott changed:

   What|Removed |Added

 Resolution|DUPLICATE |---
 Status|RESOLVED|REOPENED

Okay, this is NOT a duplicate. Please read it carefully and test it for
yourself. The default settings still produce poor results, although it as now
at least possible to get suitable output.

The main problem seems to be that Okular defaults to A4 paper regardless of the
paper size of the input document.

- On physical printers, Okular seems to ignore the paper size setting in the
Printer Properties dialog.
- When using Print to PDF, Okular defaults to A4 even when the input document
size is Letter. Changing the paper size in Printer Properties actually takes
effect, however.

However, even when the paper size for Print to PDF is corrected (set to Letter
in my case), enabling "Force rasterization" produces incorrect results when the
following scaling settings are used:

- "Fit to printable area" results in the entire document being scaled down,
although the margins are already more than sufficient for printing.
- "Print original size" shifts the entire document down and to the right.

To summarize, the only settings that produce normal print output for a standard
8.5 x 11" document are either:

- Print to PDF with the paper size manually set to Letter instead of A4 _AND_
"Force rasterization" disabled.
- Print to PDF with the paper size manually set to Letter instead of A4 _AND_
"Force rasterization" enabled _AND_ scaling set to "Fit to full page"

I don't mean to be the unhappy customer when I didn't pay for the software, but
in the future it would be nice to have bug reports verified fixed before
they're closed as duplicates. It would make reporting bugs so much easier if I
didn't have to put this much effort into proving to developers that the bug
exists. Thanks.

Well, i kind of doubt that anyone that is not kde has an org.kde. namespace,

snap.

Bug ID: 406788
   Summary: Outdated 'cantor-dev' Package
   Product: neon

  Platform: Neon Packages
OS: Linux
Status: REPORTED

 Component: Packages User Edition
  Assignee: neon-b...@kde.org
  Reporter: tyna...@gmail.com
CC: j...@jriddell.org, neon-b...@kde.org, sit...@kde.org
  Target Milestone: ---

The 'cantor' package is at version:
4:19.04.0-0xneon+18.04+bionic+build26

These other versions are available in the repository as well, for downgrading:
4:19.04.0-0xneon+18.04+bionic+build25
4:19.04.0-0xneon+18.04+bionic+build24
4:18.12.3-0xneon+18.04+bionic+build23

However, the repository has ONLY the following version of 'cantor-dev'
available:
4:18.12.3-0xneon+18.04+bionic+build23

This means that it cannot be installed without also downgrading all of the
Cantor packages. Downgrading all of the Cantor packages is the only workaround
I can find, though I haven't really tried much to find other workarounds.

Depends of Cantor version, 19.04 and current master branch does, but older
versions use only /usr/share/cantor/octavebackend.
Also, directory, used in `addpath` statement, is a first 'octavebackend'
directory found by Cantor in paths, that I mentioned.
There is 'About Cantor' in 'Help' menu. The version, mentioned there, is 19.04?

Are you 100% sure cantor looks in ~/.local/share/cantor location? I only see it
checking in /usr/share/cantor:

Both things are not that hard to solve. We have
MimeTreeParser::ObjecttreeParser that returns a MessagePart tree. This is a
tree, where only visual interesting nodes of the Mime messages with the
additional information of each node, about their encrypted status, used keys
etc... To get an idea about those trees look at
mimetreeparser/autotests/data/*tree files, these are the MessagePart tree for
the corresponding mbox. Also TemplateParser, that is responsible for creating a
reply/template, uses MimeTreeParser::ObjecttreeParser, so we are able to filter
out bad nodes.

Hi,
i hit the same bug unexpectedly while opening my files as well. This started to
happen after an update to KDE Frameworks Version 5.57.0.

While checking the code i found it to assume a file still exists after it is
overwritten. Which may have worked but with 5.57.0 Kio file copies seem to
honor the used "KIO::Overwrite" flag. As a conclusion: Just do not use the
overwritten file instance for error checks, instead use the file instance we
created after the copy.

Commit 6e1655e3 breaks build with Qt 5.13 beta 1 simply because the Qt changes
that this commit addresses happened *after* beta 1. Since beta 2 is out now,
this is no longer an issue.

[LabPlot2] [Bug 406766] CAS not available in Neon Package

2019-04-22 Thread Marcus Menzel

Dear Alexander,

thank you for your fast reply.

(In reply to Alexander Semke from comment #1)
> LabPlot has to be compiled with the support for Cantor. In addition to this,

I run KDE Neon (18.04) with the latest maxima 5.42.0 under SBCL 1-4-12
(wxmaxima GUI) as well as the cantor 19.04.0 (kde neon version) and all dev
packages that seem appropriate.
I tried to compile the GIT version
   git clone git://anongit.kde.org/labplot

All packages worked for me, except the two following ones:
-- MQTT Library NOT FOUND
-- Cantor Library NOT FOUND

MQTT isn#t important for me (even so the libs are installed ?)
Cantor looks like a problem from the KDE Neon package, because

Too bad I didn't know that, here the new package world makes life hard again.
otherwise flatpak work good, but I prefer appimages ;-) (don't know if there is
the same problem hidden ...)

[kmail2] [Bug 404698] Decryption Oracle based on replying to PGP or S/MIME encrypted emails

2019-04-22 Thread Sandro Knauß
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=404698

@Jens: what version did you test? You set "Debian Stable" and "5.10.3" this
does not match. Debian stable has 16.04.3 aka 5.2.3.

I now started to look into the issue, but I can't reproduce it with the
attached messages for 18.08.3 nor for master. At least for the encrypted
content to be simple text. Do I need to construct a mimetree inside the
encrypted message parts?
And this make totally sense, as we have already have the concept of
firstTextNode inside ObjectTreeParser, that takes effect here.

I added the proof-of-concept mails to our autotests:
  https://phabricator.kde.org/D20757
the plain.reply files are the output of the reply window.

For those you have a test environment for messagelib, those can view such mails
and reply/forward:

GNUPGHOME=/messagecore/autotests/gnupg_home/ kmail
--view 404698-gpg.mbox

A short explanation, how a reply/forward is created (everything in messagelib):
* templateparser/src/templateparserjob constructs a new KMime::Message mMsg
from a given mOrigMsg.
* TemplateParserJob uses MimeTreeParser::ObjectTreeParser to get
htmlContent/plainTextContent. At least for plainTextContent it is easy to
follow, that only the content from first text node is used. For htmlContent it
looks, like we merge different htmlNodes via
messagepart.cpp:HtmlMessagePart::fix()

it would contain any useful information 'cause it doesn't look like a KWin

Maybe the vector selections are different with what we are talking about.
Vector selections were completely reworked in Krita 4.2.

Tyson -- is there a way you could try out 4.2 and let us know? Maybe the
nightly appimage is not 4.2?

[cantor] [Bug 406787] New: Consider allowing multiple instances of a given backend

2019-04-22 Thread avlas
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=406787

Bug ID: 406787
Summary: Consider allowing multiple instances of a given
backend
   Product: cantor
   Version: 19.04
  Platform: Other
OS: Linux
Status: REPORTED
  Severity: wishlist
  Priority: NOR
 Component: general
  Assignee: fil...@kde.org
  Reporter: jsar...@gmail.com
CC: alexander.se...@web.de, alexanderrie...@gmail.com
  Target Milestone: ---

It would be great because one may like to test or debug different versions of a
backend:

- support different environments (e.g., python version of the system vs.
different conda environments)

- e.g., octave's version of the system vs. stable flatpak vs. own compilation
of dev

This would require labeling those instances according to users' taste, while
keeping the icon to visualize different backend categories.
