"Sluthooves_BG.exr does not exist." Deleting that layer as it does not seem important for the bug report, I tested using your steps, saved the image and reopne (to see if it was a refresh on newly opened files) but I could not get any difference between the layers. Perhaps there is something icky in the color space settings. Does anything change if you set a different color space in "ColorSpace > Display"? Also if you untick the checkbox next to the colorspace options? They deprecated libraries and changed their API. Making the Gamut Mask work on an older krita version would require a little more effort than just copying some lines of code. Manually changing this value and then using the 'reload original preset' button also does not change the value on the brush size slider. It gets stuck to the last value used. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Any new document, shift+drag mouse/tablet pen left or right on canvas 2. Manually change the brush size via the slider, then click the 'reload original preset'. I only noticed this with the last update, and closing and reopening Krita did not resolve the issue. EXPECTED RESULT The slider should be updating properly to each adjustment made with either short cuts or using the reload preset button. I think this is a similar issue to what I tried to address in https://phabricator.kde.org/D18307. It looks like if Compositor::performCompositing detects that no windows have been damaged, it will return early without servicing any frame events.
