Text layers merged as vectors became one vector layer, its strange you've got a

new vector layer text shapes can be modified, saved and reloaded with no loss
of data.

Sorry I cant reproduce this on macOS

The kra file has 4 layers, and one file is missing.

"Sluthooves_BG.exr does not exist."

Deleting that layer as it does not seem important for the bug report, I tested
using your steps, saved the image and reopne (to see if it was a refresh on
newly opened files) but I could not get any difference between the layers.

Perhaps there is something icky in the color space settings. Does anything
change if you set a different color space in "ColorSpace > Display"? Also if
you untick the checkbox next to the colorspace options? (I don't recall the
name as we disabled it from macOS and windows as it does nothing in those
platforms)

Newer macOS versions did change more stuff than just eye candy. They deprecated
libraries and changed their API.

Making the Gamut Mask work on an older krita version would require a little
more effort than just copying some lines of code. You could try either porting
the gamut mask to the version of krita you are using. try to compile newest
krita on old qt-5.9, or as Apple would suggest, get a newer mac :p (In my
opinion is best to switch to linux as you stated it works flawlessly :)

Not sure what you mean by "confirmed".

Anyway, as I originally said this is more a feature request than a bug report.
To emphasize, as a heavy user of Okular it is very cumbersome that the use of
the annotation bar forces you to change the mode back and forth from annotating

  Target Milestone: ---

The page in question
(https://docs.krita.org/en/reference_manual/tools/rectangular_select.html) says
"J selects this tool." when it should be Ctrl+R.

I suspect this is an accidental copy paste from the Elliptical Selection Tool,
might be a good idea to check if the docs are wrong with other tools too.

Tested with both "Default" and "krita_Default" Shortcut Schemes.

[krita] [Bug 408554] New: Krita 4.2.1: Brush Size Slider not properly updating brush scale

2019-06-10 Thread bugzilla_noreply
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=408554

Bug ID: 408554
Summary: Krita 4.2.1: Brush Size Slider not properly updating
brush scale
   Product: krita
   Version: 4.2.1
  Platform: Other
OS: Linux
Status: REPORTED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: General
  Assignee: krita-bugs-n...@kde.org
  Reporter: cadaverous.d...@gmail.com
  Target Milestone: ---

I noticed when I hit shift + drag the pen left or right, the brush size DOES
grow or shrink, but the numerical value is not updating in the brush size
slider on the top.

Manually changing this value and then using the 'reload original preset' button
also does not change the value on the brush size slider. It gets stuck to the
last value used.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Any new document, shift+drag mouse/tablet pen left or right on canvas
2. Manually change the brush size via the slider, then click the 'reload
original preset'.

I only noticed this with the last update, and closing and reopening Krita did
not resolve the issue.

EXPECTED RESULT
The slider should be updating properly to each adjustment made with either
short cuts or using the reload preset button.

SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS
Windows: 10

I can make a video showing this issue if needed. Thank you!

[plasmashell] [Bug 364766] Graphics distorted after suspend/resume with nvidia

2019-06-10 Thread Bob Wya

Setting:

[QtQuickRendererSettings]
GraphicsResetNotifications=true

locks my Plasma 5 Desktop, after a hibernate operation.
Tested on Gentoo with Plasma 5.15.90.1 and Qt 5.12.3 ...

I get graphical corruption (desktop icons, System Settings. primarily) -
without the above setting. This is when resuming from hibernate - but not
consistently _every_ time.

I'm using a Nvidia Geforce GTX 970M and Nvidia driver 418.52.10 ...

[krunner] [Bug 407966] [NVIDIA][Wayland] Krunner does not show any result after writing any text

2019-06-10 Thread Erik Kurzinger
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=407966

Sorry for taking a while to look into this, however it would seem krunner's
QSGRenderThread is getting stuck in eglSwapBuffers waiting for a
wl_surface::frame event. I think this is a similar issue to what I tried to
address in https://phabricator.kde.org/D18307. It looks like if
Compositor::performCompositing detects that no windows have been damaged, it
will return early without servicing any frame events. Just trying to confirm
this and figure out the best way to get around the issue.

This does not actually fix the bug:
1. Open Dolphin
2. Use that Dolphin window to navigate to an image
3. Open the image in Gwenview
4. in Gwenview, go to {File > Open Containing Folder}

Nothing happens.

[plasmashell] [Bug 364766] Graphics distorted after suspend/resume with nvidia

2019-06-10 Thread Nayr438
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=364766

To my understanding, it was supposed to be resolved with Qt5.12.2 using

[QtQuickRendererSettings]
GraphicsResetNotifications=true

It was supposed to just be a default behavior starting with Qt5.13 to play it
safe. At least to my understanding, but I could be wrong here.

It was hard to tell, because regardless, it kept doing it!
But get this: this morning, I booted up my system, no updates at all the past
day or two, and on a whim, I turn on the hot corner (expected it to be huge,
change gfx driver, see if it persisted) and would you believe it, it's back to
being small again!? I'm floored by this one.

Basically, after all updates and chages I made, the problem was there. There
were ZERO changes between it happening and this morning, but it has magically
been fixed. Then I updated my system. I'll come back to this if I come about
the issue again. This is stupidly strange.
