[dolphin] [Bug 409173] New: instant search to select file/folder
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=409173 Bug ID: 409173 Summary: instant search to select file/folder Product: dolphin Version: unspecified Platform: Other OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: general Assignee: dolphin-bugs-n...@kde.org Reporter: kain...@gmail.com CC: elvis.angelac...@kde.org Target Milestone: --- SUMMARY you have more than 10 files/folders you know how they are named, but you don't know how the name start. so you start typing via keyboard and dolphin jump to the first file/folder where the string was available. It's like in firefox where you don't have to say "page search" when you start typing. It would be similar to alt + i and than type, but instead of filter the view you will jump to file/folder. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

[krita] [Bug 408097] Clone Tool leaves brush mark when trying to sample new area
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=408097 --- Comment #3 from winterhaw...@hotmail.com --- (In reply to vanyossi from comment #2) > I cannot reproduce this bug. @winterhawk28, Is this still an issue on latest > krita? I think I've figured out the problem (and possibly how to reproduce it reliably). It was triggered by my Krita settings. I deleted my Krita settings by moving the entire folder away, and the problem was gone after restarting Krita. After restoring my old settings by moving the folder back, the problem was back again. I figured out that the problem was that my old settings was missing the "Ctrl+Left Button" keybind under "Canvas Input Settings > Alternate Invocation", By default, when you start a fresh copy of Krita with fresh default settings, "Ctrl + Left Button" is set to "Pick Foreground Color from Merged Image". You can reproduce the problem I was having by going into "Canvas Input Settings > Alternate Invocation" and deleting the "Ctrl+Left Button" keybind. Since it is a restricted default setting and won't let you delete it, I managed to deleted it by modifying it (such as changing the action from "Pick Foreground Color" to "Primary") and then it became deletable. Once that is gone, the Clone Tool will start glitching out the way I described. But I was able to get the Clone Tool working properly again by manually adding the "Ctrl+Left Button" keybind back in and setting the Action to "Pick Foreground Color from Merged Image" ("from Current Layer" works also). -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

[plasmashell] [Bug 409172] New: A few minutes after launching War Thunder's launcher, the bottom panel freezes
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=409172 Bug ID: 409172 Summary: A few minutes after launching War Thunder's launcher, the bottom panel freezes Product: plasmashell Version: 5.15.4 Platform: Kubuntu Packages OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: Panel Assignee: plasma-b...@kde.org Reporter: syfe...@gmail.com Target Milestone: 1.0 Created attachment 121127 --> https://bugs.kde.org/attachment.cgi?id=121127=edit Screenshot showing the frozen bottom panel. It shows the wrong time(should be 12:27) and wrong applications SUMMARY A few minutes after launching War Thunder's launcher, the bottom panel freezes. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Install War Thunder - I have it installed directly, and not through Steam, which might be relevant (https://warthunder.com/download/launcherLinux/) 2. Launch WarThunder's launcher (launcher in the installation directory) 3. Leave it running and use a different application - do not start the game 4. Notice the clock has stopped moving OBSERVED RESULT 1. The list of applications on the bottom of the screen(I think that's what the Task Manager is) will stop matching the list of actually open application visible on the Alt+Tab window switch preview. For example, Steam has actually been closed and KInfoCenter opened, and the TaskManager doesn't reflect that. 2. The clock will stop moving. 3. Applets will be shown despite actually being hidden - on the screenshot, I have an update notification after having applied the update EXPECTED RESULT There should be no Task Manager freezes caused by running an application. SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Linux/KDE Plasma: Kubuntu 19.04 (available in About System) KDE Plasma Version: 5.15.4 KDE Frameworks Version: 5.56.0 Qt Version: 5.12.2 ADDITIONAL INFORMATION I'm using an Nvidia GPU with the proprietary driver. I've not yet verified if the issue can be replicated after this Optimus laptop is switched to Intel mode. I would be happy to run some tracing problem to figure out what is really going on - this issue takes 5-15 minutes to show up but seems to be 100% replicable. I'm using the default OpenGL 2.0 rendering backend for Plasma. I've not yet verified if switching to the OpenGL 3.1 backend would help. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

[kate] [Bug 409170] New: Kate does not have an option for creating a new project
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=409170 Bug ID: 409170 Summary: Kate does not have an option for creating a new project Product: kate Version: 19.04.2 Platform: Manjaro OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: application Assignee: kwrite-bugs-n...@kde.org Reporter: baltas...@gmail.com Target Milestone: --- SUMMARY Kate does not have an option called "create project" under the projects options menu. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Activate the projects plugin 2. Browse the projects plugin' options menu. 3. OBSERVED RESULT The projects plugin menu options do only offer to navigate among projects. EXPECTED RESULT There should be an option to create a new project. SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Windows: macOS: Linux/KDE Plasma: (available in About System) KDE Plasma Version: KDE Frameworks Version: 5.59.0 Qt Version: 5.12.3 ADDITIONAL INFORMATION The plugins project has a very special behaviour when compared to other project managers present in other IDE's or advanced editors. Most of times, in order to create a project you don't actually need to do anything, provided the files are in a repository (Git, etc.) directory. If the directory is not a repo, then you have to... manually create a .kateproject file. You cannot, however, configure many aspects from the project (no matter its origin, manual or from repo): - The files inside that project that are relevant (for example, *.cpp). - How to build the project. - etc. The whole list of possibilities can only be inferred from the plugins documentation page: https://docs.kde.org/trunk5/en/applications/kate/kate-application-plugin-projects.html A "new project" dialog could first check if the directory is a git repository and then load the inferred options, so it is possible to fine-tune its behaviour. If the project is manual, that dialog would be of great help instead of creating a project file manually. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

[skrooge] [Bug 409166] New: skrooge appdata.xml missing release 2.20.0
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=409166 Bug ID: 409166 Summary: skrooge appdata.xml missing release 2.20.0 Product: skrooge Version: Trunk from git Platform: Other OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: general Assignee: guillaume.deb...@gmail.com Reporter: skierp...@gmail.com CC: steph...@mankowski.fr Target Milestone: --- SUMMARY Skrooge 2.20 is on Flathub and works. However, https://flathub.org/apps/details/org.kde.skrooge shows its version as 2.19.0. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Visit Flathub, find the skrooge app 2. Install Skrooge from Flathub 3. flatpak run skrooge --version OBSERVED RESULT https://flathub.org/apps/details/org.kde.skrooge says skrooge is at version 2.19.0, but if you download and install it, it's actually at version 2.20.0. EXPECTED RESULT Flathub should show version 2.20.0. I think Flathub gets the version from the first or most recent tag within in skrooge/org.kde.skrooge.appdata.xml. So when making a release you have to update appdata.xml as well as CHANGELOG with the new release and date. (Then, once the KDE build has produced a source archive, someone has to make a pull request like https://github.com/flathub/org.kde.skrooge/pull/8 to update Flathub's YAML build recipe with its URL and checksum; I'm happy to do that.) SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Linux/KDE Plasma: n/a ADDITIONAL INFORMATION I don't think this is critical to fix; people who install from Flathub will just get a newer Skrooge than indicated. But if it is, then you could make a 2.20.1 release. BTW bugs.kde.org is missing a 2.20.0 Version select item for Skrooge. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

[kstars] [Bug 409125] Observatory module
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=409125 --- Comment #3 from Jean-Claude --- I own a dome : This means that the scope must always match the dome aperture orientation. The dome parameters can be set in the INDI Control Panel. However after numerous trials I could not succeed to enter the right dome parameters which would align the scope and the dome aperture in all part of the sky. This is why I need to correct sometime the dome position with the buttons CW and CCW. But the dome being slaved, it doesn't like that and return immediately to the calculated position (which I don't want). Thus if a correction is made with the buttons CW or CCW the dome must be unslaved. Having all these buttons in the new Observatory module would allow to control the dome within EKOS without using the INDI Control panel. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
