[dolphin] [Bug 409173] New: instant search to select file/folder

2019-06-25 Thread andreas
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=409173

Bug ID: 409173
   Summary: instant search to select file/folder
   Product: dolphin
   Version: unspecified
  Platform: Other
OS: Linux
Status: REPORTED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: general
  Assignee: dolphin-bugs-n...@kde.org
  Reporter: kain...@gmail.com
CC: elvis.angelac...@kde.org
  Target Milestone: ---

SUMMARY
you have more than 10 files/folders you know how they are named, but you don't
know how the name start. so you start typing via keyboard and dolphin jump to
the first file/folder where the string was available.

It's like in firefox where you don't have to say "page search" when you start
typing.

It would be similar to alt + i and than type, but instead of filter the view
you will jump to file/folder.

[krita] [Bug 408097] Clone Tool leaves brush mark when trying to sample new area

2019-06-25 Thread bugzilla_noreply
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=408097

--- Comment #3 from winterhaw...@hotmail.com ---
(In reply to vanyossi from comment #2)
> I cannot reproduce this bug. @winterhawk28, Is this still an issue on latest
> krita?

I think I've figured out the problem (and possibly how to reproduce it
reliably).

It was triggered by my Krita settings.

I deleted my Krita settings by moving the entire folder away, and the problem
was gone after restarting Krita. After restoring my old settings by moving the
folder back, the problem was back again.

I figured out that the problem was that my old settings was missing the
"Ctrl+Left Button" keybind under "Canvas Input Settings > Alternate
Invocation", By default, when you start a fresh copy of Krita with fresh
default settings, "Ctrl + Left Button" is set to "Pick Foreground Color from
Merged Image".

You can reproduce the problem I was having by going into "Canvas Input Settings
> Alternate Invocation" and deleting the "Ctrl+Left Button" keybind. Since it
is a restricted default setting and won't let you delete it, I managed to
deleted it by modifying it (such as changing the action from "Pick Foreground
Color" to "Primary") and then it became deletable. Once that is gone, the Clone
Tool will start glitching out the way I described.

But I was able to get the Clone Tool working properly again by manually adding
the "Ctrl+Left Button" keybind back in and setting the Action to "Pick
Foreground Color from Merged Image" ("from Current Layer" works also).

[plasmashell] [Bug 409172] New: A few minutes after launching War Thunder's launcher, the bottom panel freezes

2019-06-25 Thread Syfer Polski
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=409172

Bug ID: 409172
   Summary: A few minutes after launching War Thunder's launcher,
the bottom panel freezes
   Product: plasmashell
   Version: 5.15.4
  Platform: Kubuntu Packages
OS: Linux
Status: REPORTED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: Panel
  Assignee: plasma-b...@kde.org
  Reporter: syfe...@gmail.com
  Target Milestone: 1.0

Created attachment 121127
  --> https://bugs.kde.org/attachment.cgi?id=121127=edit
Screenshot showing the frozen bottom panel. It shows the wrong time(should be
12:27) and wrong applications

SUMMARY
A few minutes after launching War Thunder's launcher, the bottom panel freezes.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Install War Thunder - I have it installed directly, and not through Steam,
which might be relevant (https://warthunder.com/download/launcherLinux/)
2. Launch WarThunder's launcher (launcher in the installation directory)
3. Leave it running and use a different application - do not start the game
4. Notice the clock has stopped moving

OBSERVED RESULT
1. The list of applications on the bottom of the screen(I think that's what the
Task Manager is) will stop matching the list of actually open application
visible on the Alt+Tab window switch preview. For example, Steam has actually
been closed and KInfoCenter opened, and the TaskManager doesn't reflect that.
2. The clock will stop moving.
3. Applets will be shown despite actually being hidden - on the screenshot, I
have an update notification after having applied the update

EXPECTED RESULT
There should be no Task Manager freezes caused by running an application.

SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS
Linux/KDE Plasma: Kubuntu 19.04
(available in About System)
KDE Plasma Version: 5.15.4
KDE Frameworks Version: 5.56.0
Qt Version: 5.12.2

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
I'm using an Nvidia GPU with the proprietary driver. I've not yet verified if
the issue can be replicated after this Optimus laptop is switched to Intel
mode.

I would be happy to run some tracing problem to figure out what is really going
on - this issue takes 5-15 minutes to show up but seems to be 100% replicable.

I'm using the default OpenGL 2.0 rendering backend for Plasma. I've not yet
verified if switching to the OpenGL 3.1 backend would help.

Can you please attach a backtrace that shows the exact location of the crash?
Also, please describe your procedure more precisely, because there is no "Send"
option for uploading to phab. There's a Run button, and first you have to
decide whether to create a new diff or attach to an existing one.
Does the crash happen with all files you try to upload?

I cannot reproduce the issue on my end (but I haven't exactly been keeping my
install up-to-date since 5.52.0 ...)

[kate] [Bug 409170] New: Kate does not have an option for creating a new project

2019-06-25 Thread Baltasar
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=409170

Bug ID: 409170
   Summary: Kate does not have an option for creating a new
project
   Product: kate
   Version: 19.04.2
  Platform: Manjaro
OS: Linux
Status: REPORTED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: application
  Assignee: kwrite-bugs-n...@kde.org
  Reporter: baltas...@gmail.com
  Target Milestone: ---

SUMMARY
Kate does not have an option called "create project" under the projects options
menu.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Activate the projects plugin
2. Browse the projects plugin' options menu.
3.

OBSERVED RESULT
The projects plugin menu options do only offer to navigate among projects.

EXPECTED RESULT
There should be an option to create a new project.

SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS
Windows:
macOS:
Linux/KDE Plasma:
(available in About System)
KDE Plasma Version:
KDE Frameworks Version: 5.59.0
Qt Version:  5.12.3

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
The plugins project has a very special behaviour when compared to other project
managers present in other IDE's or advanced editors.

Most of times, in order to create a project you don't actually need to do
anything, provided the files are in a repository (Git, etc.) directory. If the
directory is not a repo, then you have to... manually create a .kateproject
file.

You cannot, however, configure many aspects from the project (no matter its
origin, manual or from repo):
- The files inside that project that are relevant (for example, *.cpp).
- How to build the project.
- etc.

The whole list of possibilities can only be inferred from the plugins
documentation page:
https://docs.kde.org/trunk5/en/applications/kate/kate-application-plugin-projects.html

A "new project" dialog could first check if the directory is a git repository
and then load the inferred options, so it is possible to fine-tune its
behaviour.

If the project is manual, that dialog would be of great help instead of
creating a project file manually.

SUMMARY

When sending a mail to many recipients the 'To:' header can become longer than
the allowed 998 bytes. KMail should fold it to span several lines so the mails
don't get rejected by mail servers.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Create a new mail.
2. Add many recipients.
3. Send it to someone using (for example) exim.
4. Look at the reject log on the mail server.

OBSERVED RESULT

Mail gets rejected due to header not valid according to RFC 5322.

EXPECTED RESULT

Mail gets delivered because it is not malformed.

[skrooge] [Bug 409166] New: skrooge appdata.xml missing release 2.20.0

2019-06-25 Thread skierpage
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=409166

Bug ID: 409166
   Summary: skrooge appdata.xml missing release 2.20.0
   Product: skrooge
   Version: Trunk from git
  Platform: Other
OS: Linux
Status: REPORTED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: general
  Assignee: guillaume.deb...@gmail.com
  Reporter: skierp...@gmail.com
CC: steph...@mankowski.fr
  Target Milestone: ---

SUMMARY
Skrooge 2.20 is on Flathub and works. However,
https://flathub.org/apps/details/org.kde.skrooge shows its version as 2.19.0.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Visit Flathub, find the skrooge app
2. Install Skrooge from Flathub
3. flatpak run skrooge --version

OBSERVED RESULT
https://flathub.org/apps/details/org.kde.skrooge says skrooge is at version
2.19.0, but if you download and install it, it's actually at version 2.20.0.

EXPECTED RESULT
Flathub should show version 2.20.0.
I think Flathub gets the version from the first or most recent tag
within in skrooge/org.kde.skrooge.appdata.xml. So when making a
release you have to update appdata.xml as well as CHANGELOG with the new
release and date. (Then, once the KDE build has produced a source archive,
someone has to make a pull request like
https://github.com/flathub/org.kde.skrooge/pull/8 to update Flathub's YAML
build recipe with its URL and checksum; I'm happy to do that.)

SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS
Linux/KDE Plasma: n/a

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
I don't think this is critical to fix; people who install from Flathub will
just get a newer Skrooge than indicated. But if it is, then you could make a
2.20.1 release.
BTW bugs.kde.org is missing a 2.20.0 Version select item for Skrooge.

SUMMARY
skrooge is building OK on flathub once again. But the build generates warnings
in a validation-strict step.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE

[kstars] [Bug 409125] Observatory module

2019-06-25 Thread Jean-Claude
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=409125

--- Comment #3 from Jean-Claude  ---
I own a dome : This means that the scope must always match the dome aperture
orientation.
The dome parameters can be set in the INDI Control Panel.
However after numerous trials I could not succeed to enter the right dome
parameters which would align the scope and the dome aperture in all part of the
sky.
This is why I need to correct sometime the dome position with the buttons CW
and CCW.
But the dome being slaved, it doesn't like that and return immediately to the
calculated position (which I don't want).
Thus if a correction is made with the buttons CW or CCW the dome must be
unslaved.
Having all these buttons in the new Observatory module would allow to control
the dome within EKOS without using the INDI Control panel.

We (KDE) need to be proactive rather than just waiting.

If possible please test with my QtWayland patch sets:
https://codereview.qt-project.org/c/qt/qtwayland/+/265998/1

Though I think it's slightly unrelated.

The buttons for moving the dome and one for abort is more or less straight
forward. But what functionality do you expect from the slaving button?

For me it looks like it is OK when slaving is set up in the INDI configuration
(as well as snoop devices etc). Or do you want to be able enabling and
disabling slaving during runtime?

Note: see also the FAQ in the source distribution.
It contains workarounds to several common problems.
In particular, if Valgrind aborted or crashed after
identifying problems in your program, there's a good chance
that fixing those problems will prevent Valgrind aborting or
crashing, especially if it happened in m_mallocfree.c.

If that doesn't help, please report this bug to: www.valgrind.org

In the bug report, send all the above text, the valgrind
version, and what OS and version you are using. Thanks.

Please contact your distribution support forum on how to install the NVIDIA
drivers for your GPU. If I understand correctly your GPU was released in 2006.
It is very likely that you will have to install legacy drivers and that there
are no up to date drivers. Also please be aware that such old hardware is not
well supported.

   Summary: Umbrello wont create a UML diagram relation between
two objects
   Product: umbrello
   Version: unspecified
  Platform: Other
OS: MS Windows
Status: REPORTED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: importer
  Assignee: umbrello-de...@kde.org
  Reporter: rhdr0...@gmail.com
  Target Milestone: ---

SUMMARY
In some cases Umbrello wont create a UML diagram relation (when importing from
code (python)) between two objects

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Import the following python code via the code import wizard:
import abc
class Entity(abc.ABC):
def __init__(self, entityNameStr):
self.name = entityNameStr

class Consumer(Entity):
def __init__(self, consumerNameStr):
super(Consumer, self).__init__(consumerNameStr)
self._consumersPropertySelectedLst = []

def selectPropertyToView(self, propertyObj):
cp = ConsumersPropertySelected(self, propertyObj)
cp.addConsumersPropertySelected()

def toString(self):
print("Consumer Object:", self.name)
print(self.name + " has selected the following property(ies) for
viewing:")
for cp in self._consumersPropertySelectedLst:
print("-", cp._propertyObj.address)

class ConsumersPropertySelected(object):
def __init__(self, consumerObj, propertyObj):
self._consumerObj = consumerObj
self._propertyObj = propertyObj

def addConsumersPropertySelected(self):
if self not in self._consumerObj._consumersPropertySelectedLst: #check
if not already added
self._consumerObj._consumersPropertySelectedLst.append(self)
self._propertyObj._consumersPropertySelectedLst.append(self)

class Property(object):
def __init__(self, addressStr):
self._consumersPropertySelectedLst = []
self.address = addressStr

def toString(self):
print("Property Object:", self.address)
print(self.address + " is to be viewed by the following consumer(s):")
for cp in self._consumersPropertySelectedLst:
print("-", cp._consumerObj.name)

if __name__ == "__main__":
pKlip1 = Property("Klip1")
pGamka42 = Property("Gamka42")

cPete = Consumer("Pete")
cPete.selectPropertyToView(pGamka42)
cPete.selectPropertyToView(pKlip1)

cPete.toString()
print()
pGamka42.toString()
print()
pKlip1.toString()
2. Add the 'Property' & 'ConsumerPropertySelected' to the UML diagram
3. Select the aggregation relation from the toolbar
4. First left click on the 'Property' Object then left click on the
'ConsumerPropertySelected'

OBSERVED RESULT
See the image on the stack overflow page:
https://stackoverflow.com/questions/56739228/umbrello-wont-create-relation/56739597#56739597
Umbrello did not create the relation

EXPECTED RESULT
A relation is expected to be created between the two objects

SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS
Umbrello: 4.14.65
Windows: Windows 10
macOS: N/A
Linux/KDE Plasma: N/A
(available in About System)
KDE Plasma Version: N/A
KDE Frameworks Version:N/A
Qt Version: N/A (PyQt5-5.11.2)

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Workaround:
(refer to the stackoverflow link provided above)
1. Select the relation you want from the toolbar.
2. Left Click and hold on the first object(ex: 'Property')
3. Whilst still holding the left mouse button, drag the cursor to the second
object (ex: 'ConsumerPropertySelected')
4. Release your left mouse button over the second object and finally click the
second object again with your left mouse button

gtk example

It would be nice to have a search feature similar to gtk file dialog, in wbich
you can search files and folder when selecting a file, like shown in the
attached picture.

thanks for the fast reply. I'm not sure if elisa on windows did work, cause on
linux elisa use baloo for indexing the music collection. as on windows there is
no baloo, I don't know where elisa would get the music collection stuff.

Add NSSupportsAutomaticGraphicsSwitching to the Info.plist

https://developer.apple.com/library/archive/qa/qa1734/_index.html
suggests that this will make it possible for Krita to use the
integrated Intel GPU instead of the discrete AMD GPU. AMD drivers
on macOS are the pits, using Intel should be preferred for Krita

Hi Maik,
Thank you for this clarification.

Then, can I ask an evolution : I would like a global parameter that makes
Editor tools always start with default parameters.

Many thanks ! :)

--- Comment #2 from Luca Weiss  ---
No, these files don't have an album artist set, from what I can see. They are
in the same directory though. I'll attach a screenshot of Kid3 showing two
different items in such an album; but aside from being in the same directory,
the only metadata-similarity is the Album tag.

[kdenlive] [Bug 409159] New: Fade from black - effect jumps forward after trimming and changing speed

2019-06-25 Thread bugzilla_noreply
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=409159

Bug ID: 409159
   Summary: Fade from black - effect jumps forward after trimming
and changing speed
   Product: kdenlive
   Version: 19.04.2
  Platform: Ubuntu Packages
OS: Linux
Status: REPORTED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: User Interface
  Assignee: j...@kdenlive.org
  Reporter: iticdig...@disroot.org
  Target Milestone: ---

SUMMARY
If you cut the beginning and end of the clip, add fade in black and fade from
black, then increase the speed to 150%, then the fade from black moves about 5
seconds ahead of the start. That is, the video will start without fade in but
then after some time it will darken and go again.
Does not work on too short clips! It is necessary that the length of the clip
after acceleration was not less than 30 seconds.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Trim the beginning and end of the clip.
2. Add Fade From Black and Fade To black with dots in the corners of the clip
on the timeline.
3. Increase clip speed up to 150%

OBSERVED RESULT
Fade from black will not work where it should be, but in about 3 seconds the
video will darken for a short time.

EXPECTED RESULT
Obviously not this
