Can you provide a backtrace? It doesn't crash here. What Dolphin version is
this?
Here it crashes when opening the Control menu, Ctrl+Q to quit works fine.

[Powerdevil] [Bug 414125] New: Plasma Crash immediately after login

2019-11-13 Thread Alessio Nobile
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=414125

Bug ID: 414125
Summary: Plasma Crash immediately after login
   Product: Powerdevil
   Version: unspecified
  Platform: Ubuntu Packages
OS: Linux
Status: REPORTED
  Keywords: drkonqi
  Severity: crash
  Priority: NOR
 Component: general
  Assignee: plasma-b...@kde.org
  Reporter: netz...@gmail.com
  Target Milestone: ---

Application: org_kde_powerdevil (2.0.0)

Qt Version: 5.12.4
Frameworks Version: 5.64.0
Operating System: Linux 5.3.0-23-generic x86_64
Distribution: Ubuntu 19.10

-- Information about the crash:
- What I was doing when the application crashed:
I just entered the password to login in my account and after the loading
screen, i got to a blank screen. Looked like Kwin was not being started. Some
other windows started to popup like Kwallet manager, but nothing else was
loaded.
Had to restart the machine to get in.

- Unusual behavior I noticed:
During the login session i got asked twice. The first time the loading started
and then it crashed going back to the login screen.
The second time i entered the password and the behavior above occurred.

The crash can be reproduced sometimes.

will ask about this on screen when you connect phone on computer), displaying
contents as thumbnails and downloading files work as expected using digiKam

The problem is located in Gmic plugin install dir rules. plugin is copied at
wrong place and not detected at startup.

As root, move file from:

/opt/digikam/libexec/qt5/plugins/digikam/editor/Editor_GmicQt_Plugin.so

to:

/opt/digikam/lib/plugins/digikam/editor/

Restart digiKam: plugin must be listed in setup/plugins/editor view, and
visible in Enhance menu from image editor.

[kdeconnect] [Bug 414120] New: Ring and photo not working in kdeconnect app when app is in background on Android 10.

2019-11-13 Thread Dashon
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=414120

Bug ID: 414120
Summary: Ring and photo not working in kdeconnect app when app
is in background on Android 10.
   Product: kdeconnect
   Version: unspecified
  Platform: Ubuntu Packages
OS: other
Status: REPORTED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: android-application
  Assignee: albertv...@gmail.com
  Reporter: sparky123558w...@gmail.com
  Target Milestone: ---

SUMMARY
Ring and photo not working in kdeconnect app when app is in background on
Android 10.
This isn't related to issue 392853 or 368438 however if you haven't saw. There
are people reporting on issue 368438 including myself about now having that
issue again in android 10. I am however opening a new bug report because the
cause is most likely different.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Try to ring or launch camera on phone without having kdeconnect app in
focus.
2. Observe nothing happening or it will launch once and then every subsequent
call will never launch.

OBSERVED RESULT
Nothing happens

EXPECTED RESULT
Phone rings or camera launches.

SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS
Asus q325ua
Ubuntu 19.10
Android 10
One plus 7 pro
Using GSConnect but problem is not with gsconnect
Kdeconnect version 1.13.2 as reported by google play store.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Bug report I filed with gsconnect as well as with tons of debugging information
from the app as well as, as much info as I could extract from an android bug
report.
https://github.com/andyholmes/gnome-shell-extension-gsconnect/issues/692

Relevant quote from andy over at gsconnect regarding what was found: "There are
a few warnings in there about deprecated MediaPlayer use, but it looks to me
like this could be the culprit. It's possible that the "intent" which should
present the activity might not be working, which is preventing the activity
from launching correctly."

The layout bug with the checkboxes not being centered has since been fixed. As
a result, I'm not sure there's a bug left to fix here. Yes, the checkboxes are
a bit bigger than normal, but it's actually somewhat helpful in this particular
UI since it increases the size of the click targets

Looks like what's happening here is that the desktop context menu action
respects the "confirm logout" setting, while ctrl+alt+delete does not.

This seems like a bug to me, but upon investigation, it's possible that it's
intentional since there's a companion "log out without confirmation" command
(ctrl+shift+alt+delete).

Still, I think it should probably respect the user's setting and make "log out"
do the same thing as "log out without confirmation" when you have "confirm
logout" unchecked.

Git commit d202cc3854c007f40cc6da13532fd30bfdaded2a by Stefan Brüns.
Committed on 13/11/2019 at 23:58.
Pushed by bruns into branch 'master'.

Use realtime indexing as fallback when DB has no property data

Summary:
In case the DB provides no data, try to fetch the properties directly
from the file using the new OnDemandIndexer class.

If required, start the extractor in the background, fetch UserMetaData
and wait for the extractor, then unite the results.
Depends on D25248

Test Plan:
  # suspend baloo (`balooctl suspend`)
  # copy a file with properties (e.g. PNG) to a included location
`cp ~/foo.png ~/foo_2.png`
  # `balooshow ~/foo.png ~/foo_2.png` should only display "Cached properties"
 for the original file
  # dolphin displays properties for both files (in the side panel)

[plasmashell] [Bug 414119] New: The "Configure Desktop -> Wallpaper" setting does not refresh the wallpaper if there is less than < 2 images in the wallpaper directory.

2019-11-13 Thread Chris Watson
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=414119

Bug ID: 414119
Summary: The "Configure Desktop -> Wallpaper" setting does not
refresh the wallpaper if there is less than < 2 images
in the wallpaper directory.
   Product: plasmashell
   Version: 5.16.5
  Platform: Other
OS: FreeBSD
Status: REPORTED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: Image Wallpaper
  Assignee: notm...@gmail.com
  Reporter: bsduni...@gmail.com
CC: plasma-b...@kde.org
  Target Milestone: 1.0

I have a single file in a directory "Earth.jpg" which is an image of the GOES
full disk color image of the earth. It is fetched from a script every 10
minutes. The file name never changes and it's the only file in that directory.
The issue is that setting "Configure Desktop -> Wallpaper" settings using
either the "slideshow" wallpaper type or "Image" does not update the background
wallpaper. It updates the background once and then stops re-reading the image
file again, even if using the Slideshow setting and telling it to change every
minute.

The odd thing is that the image thumbnail preview below the settings panel
updates to the actual image in the directory as it should. So thumbnail
previews in "Configure Desktop -> Wallpaper" work like the background should
work. So the code is written properly for the thumbnail image preview it just
doesnt seem to apply to the code to refresh the actual desktop image.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Fetch an image every n minutes that changes each time it's fetched and put
it in a directory with a filename that does not change and is the only file in
the directory.
2. Go to "Configure Desktop" from the contextual menu by right clicking on the
desktop.
3. Go to Wallpaper
4. Select Image or Slide show, for slideshow select update every 5 seconds for
testing purposes.
5. Select the directory your image that updates is locate in and select the
image.

OBSERVED RESULT

6. Watch the thumbnail below the settings update every 5 seconds but the actual
background image does not change from the initial fetch of the image.

EXPECTED RESULT

7. The background image should update by rescanning the directory and image
file you selected to update the background even if the filename does not change
or if there is only one image in the wallpaper directory chosen.

2019-11-13 Thread Matt Fagnani

Status: REPORTED

Frameworks Version: 5.64.0
Operating System: Linux 5.3.11-300.fc31.x86_64 x86_64
Distribution (Platform): Fedora RPMs

-- Information about the crash:
I updated from KF 5.61 to 5.64 in Plasma 5.16.5 on Wayland in Fedora 31. I
logged out of Plasma. I logged into Plasma on Wayland from sddm. I noticed that
the Task Manager and NetworkManager applet were semi-transparent. I opened
System Settings. I typed transparent in the search bar and selected Desktop
Behavior. I typed transparent in the search bar. I clicked on the box with the
two arrows beside Blur. I disconnected from Wifi and connected to Ethernet
using the NetworkManager applet. The System Settings window showed Not
Responding in the title bar and its colours faded. plasmashell aborted with an
error message that the Wayland connection had broken "The Wayland connection
broke. Did the Wayland compositor die?" which I reported at
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=414116. System Settings aborted with the
same message in the trace.

- Unusual behavior I noticed:
The Task Manager disappeared. The background went black. plasmashell restarted
automatically.

[digikam] [Bug 414117] New: Full screen cannot close Image Editor by clicking Close Editor

   Product: digikam
   Version: 6.4.0
  Platform: macOS Disk Images
OS: macOS
Status: REPORTED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: Usability-FullScreen
  Assignee: digikam-bugs-n...@kde.org
  Reporter: gski...@gmail.com
  Target Milestone: ---

I am having issues with the 6.4 on Mac Mojave when switching to "Full-Screen"
mode. If once in full-screen AND enter another feature such as Image Editor, it
can be hard to get back to thumbnail view. It is not clear how to close the
Image Editor because clicking the Close Editor so does not bring you back to
the Thumbnail view.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Within Normal Thumbnail view, click Full Screen. App enters full-screen as
expected.
2. Select an image and click Image Editor. This is okay. This is where
different closing options have different outcomes.
3A. Click Exit Full Screen - This outcome gives you back the two windows in a
tabbed interface. You can then close the tab for Image Editor -- This works
okay. So option 3A is the workaround.
3B. This is where the issues are. From the Full-screen of step 2. Click
Close Editor button.
4. This closes full-screen but gives you only one Image Editor Window. The
Thumbnail view is not found.
5. Click Close Editor and nothing happens.
6. Click the close button on the window and Digikam Closes.
So by following path 3B, it is not easy to get back to the Thumbnail view
without restarting the program.

So to recap, there is something going wrong about step 3B when clicking Close
Editor. Doing so doesn't work and doesn't bring you back to the Thumbnail
view.

This also affects the BQM and Light Table

-- Information about the crash:
- What I was doing when the application crashed:

I updated from KF 5.61 to 5.64 in Plasma 5.16.5 on Wayland in Fedora 31. I
logged out of Plasma. I logged into Plasma on Wayland from sddm. I noticed that
the Task Manager and NetworkManager applet were semi-transparent. I opened
System Settings. I typed transparent in the search bar and selected Desktop
Behavior. I typed transparent in the search bar. I clicked on the box with the
two arrows beside Blur. I disconnected from Wifi and connected to Ethernet
using the NetworkManager applet. The System Settings window showed Not
Responding in the title bar. plasmashell aborted with an error message that the
Wayland connection had broken "The Wayland connection broke. Did the Wayland
compositor die?". System Settings aborted with the same message.

- Unusual behavior I noticed:

[digikam] [Bug 414114] New: Gphoto2 I/O error -7 when importing photos from iphone 7+

2019-11-13 Thread bugzilla_noreply

I am trying to import photos from my iPhone 7+ with digikam, but after a few
minutes digikam starts complaining that it can't import any files. The
systemlog is flooded with the following message:

Nov 13 16:20:44 arch digikam[98090]: digikam.import: Libgphoto2 error: I/O
problem ( -7 )
Nov 13 16:20:44 arch digikam[98090]: digikam.import: Log ( "IMG_2729.MOV"

Nov 13 16:20:44 arch digikam[98090]: digikam.import: Failed to get camera item!

I tried to reproduce using gphoto2 manually with --list-photos but it seems to
be able to list the images fine.

Arch Linux
digiKam 6.4.0-2 from the official repos
KDE Plasma 5.17.2

[digikam] [Bug 414112] New: Rounding problems in Resize Image function

2019-11-13 Thread Frank Steinmetzger
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=414112

Bug ID: 414112
Summary: Rounding problems in Resize Image function
   Product: digikam
   Version: 6.3.0
  Platform: Other
OS: Linux
Status: REPORTED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: Plugin-Editor-Resize
  Assignee: digikam-bugs-n...@kde.org
  Reporter: war...@gmx.de
  Target Milestone: ---

Dear all,

ever since the migration to the different widget styles for plugin parameters
(for Qt5?), I’ve been having problems with rounding errors in Showfoto when
resizing an image.

An example I just had:
- crop an image to 3600×2400 (3:2 ratio). Now I want to resize it to 2400×1600.
- enter 2400 into the width field and press Tab to apply the field (which
focuses the height field)
- the height is calculated to 1599
- enter 1600 into the height field and press Tab again
- now the width is recalculated to 2399

Please have a look at how the missing number is calculated and improve the
rounding behaviour.

Thank you for your consideration and all the best.

The expanded arrow in the plasma systray is aligned at the far right of the
space given to the systray, this is why the expanded arrow is there.

> Close the main indicator switch then

That removes the padding. Margins are inferior in two ways:
- it can bet set to 25% top instead of 100% for padding (I like it very spaced)
- it does not add space on the sides (that looks horrible)

I found a workaround using margins and adding separators widgets but the main
point resides, the indicator padding setting messes the system tray layout,
visible or not. Maybe the bug is from system tray side but I couldn't find
where to post such a bug report.
