I cannot get it to happen with opencGL turned on in any mode. High quality,
triliniear, nearest Neighbour, in any version.

Also please attach the information in from menu: Help -> Show system

Do take note that current master is extremely laggy and prone to crashes. Fo
work I suggest using the 4.3 branch, and keep master for testing. Even on my
macbook pro, current git master can be slow and unusable in some cases.

The background portal (the one responsible for this) is part of upcoming Plasma
5.19, which means you can get it only from git master as of now.

Patrick, is it possible that you restart xdg-desktop-portal-kde with some
flatpak application running? I was able to reproduce it sometimes, but I'm not
sure yet why it's happening, it's some miscommunication with
xdg-desktop-portal-kde and xdg-desktop-portal. I will keep investigating.

It was indeed possible to get the cursor stuck on certain actions using the pop
up palette in the past. That particular case was fixed, however do try to
remember if you used a particular menu, action or filter. I've been using krita
and I don't get any problem with the cursor, perhaps my way of using krita is
not triggering the defect.

I need some more information from you. In krita go to Help menu -> Show Krita

SUMMARY

Regular transactions from a payee which have a tag assigned will appear in the
"Tags" overview as deposits. If you do the exact some transaction, but make it
part of a split transaction, then it will suddenly count as payment. I do not
know if this is the expected behavior.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Create a transaction with tag "Test"
2. Create a split transaction. Tag one of the split items as "Test"
3. Open "Tags" overview, select "Test"

OBSERVED RESULT

The "Tags" overview shows both transactions, but one is a deposit while the
other is a payment.

EXPECTED RESULT

Both transactions should be a either a deposit or a payment.

A vector shape is composed points(nodes), each two points can be joined by a
line, called a segment. When you Break at point, you are not creating a new
object, you are just modifying segments. In this case you add a new point and
create 2 segments. However both segments belong to the same shape.

To separte the vectors into different shapes: using the selection tool -> right
click -> Logical operations -> Split.

Both segments are now on different shapes. And copying and pasting each shape
into different vector layers is then possible.

Opacity decreases with decreasing smudge length.

SUMMARY

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Run portable version of krita at this link
(https://disk.yandex.com/d/Ei1n9S16faEppg)
2. Create a new file.
3. Create a new smudge brush preset. Make sure that only opacity is controlled
by pen pressure.
4. Deselect "Smear alpha" in brush settings under "Smudge Length"
5. Increase Smudge Length to 100% under brush settings. Draw a line on the
image file
6. Decrease the smudge length to 75%. You may notice a slight decrease in
maximum opacity.
7. Continue decreasing the smudge length in small increments. As the smudge
length is decreased, the maximum opacity also decreases. This bug occurs in
both dulling mode and smearing mode for the smudge brush. A similar bug was
reported in 2014 for Krita 2.8, but it appears to have been fixed.

OBSERVED RESULT
As the smudge length is decreased the maximum opacity of each dab will also
decrease.

EXPECTED RESULT

[KDb] [Bug 420599] New: KDbNativeStatementBuilder escapes identifiers in a way that KDbParser parses as string literals

2020-04-25 Thread jordi fita i mas

  Platform: Compiled Sources

Database with a table using SQL keywords as column names and a query showing
incorrect results

SUMMARY

This is a problem for KEXI when building a query based on a table that has
columns named after SQL reserved keywords (e.g., “group”).

STEPS TO REPRODUCE (IN KEXI 3.2.1)
1. Create a table with a column named “group”; it does not matter its type or
whether its primary key or not.
2. Insert any data that column, but avoid “group” as value.
3. Create a new query with only the “group” column from that table.
4. Switch to SQL view and check that the SQL is indeed correct, with group
double quoted.
5. Switch to data view
6. Switch back to SQL view

OBSERVED RESULT
In data view, all rows have the literal string “group” as value of a column
named “expr1”.

In the second switch to SQL, the query has changed from

  SELECT "group" FROM source

To

SELECT 'group' AS expr1 FROM source

In the attached database file the SQL query does not changed because it was
saved before switching view, but in data mode it still shows all rows with the
same incorrect literal string.

EXPECTED RESULT
In data view, the column should be named “group” and all its values should be
the same as in the source table.

In SQL, the query should still have the “group” column double quoted and
without any alias.

SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS
Linux/KDE Plasma: openSUSE 15.1
KDE Plasma Version: N/A
KDE Frameworks Version: 5.69.0
Qt Version: 5.12.2

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
This seems to be a side effect of bug #364950 (SQL: Handle escape sequences in
string literals), in where the parser was changed to parse double-quoted
strings as literals in order to recognize escape sequences in them.

As a quick test, i modified KDbSqlScanner.l from

   e_str1 (\\\'|\'\'|[^'])
   e_str2 (\\\"|\"\"|[^"])
   string (\'{e_str1}*\'|\"{e_str2}*\")

to

   e_str1 (\\\'|\'\'|[^'])
   e_str2 (\\\"|\"\"|[^"])
   string (\'{e_str1}*\')
   quoted_identifier (\"{e_str2}*\")

plus a new quoted_identifier block, and then KEXI produced the expected result.

I am not sure if this is a but of KDb per se; maybe KEXI is just using the
wrong components to generate the SQL. Any thoughts on this?

[kdevelop] [Bug 420596] New: Specify working directory for cppcheck

2020-04-25 Thread Rafal Lalik
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=420596

Bug ID: 420596
Summary: Specify working directory for cppcheck
   Product: kdevelop
   Version: git master
  Platform: Other
OS: Linux
Status: REPORTED
  Severity: wishlist
  Priority: NOR
 Component: Analyzer: Cppcheck
  Assignee: kdevelop-bugs-n...@kde.org
  Reporter: rafalla...@gmail.com
  Target Milestone: ---

SUMMARY

By default QProcess used to run cppcheck uses WD of the invoking process.

Would be good to use QProcess::setWorkingDirectory() to set WD to the project
root, that all the paths in the helper files (e.g. for suppression list option
--suppressions-list=) can be relative to the project.

Did not check code for other analyzers but for them the same would be also
good.

[kio-extras] [Bug 420578] kio-discovery-wsd suffix causes failure connecting to Windows 10 host using WS-Discovery

2020-04-25 Thread Myrddin Wyllt
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=420578

I'm finding this issue isn't always reproducible.

I just tried this again & this time I refreshed after the first successful
discovery.

Initial discovery always requires one refresh after waiting for smb:// to load.

Attempting to browse on initial discovery causes the error in this bug report.

Refreshing after initial discovery somehow properly converts the suffix to
.local when attempting to brows which after a small eternity (20 seconds), does
resolve properly.

Typing in HOSTNAME directly resolves almost immediately, so the delay is worth
noting.

I had the same issue with chromium for quite some while, but never had the time
to investigate. The plasma-browser-integration-host process would always run at
100% usage of one core as soon as a video starts playing and the media widget
didn't detect the video.
However, this never happened with firefox.

For me this issue was caused by DBUS_SESSION_BUS_ADDRESS not being set.
I changed the session to "Exec=dbus-run-session /usr/bin/startplasma-x11"
instead of "Exec=/usr/bin/startplasma-x11". I'm not sure if this has any
negative consequences, but the wayland session also uses dbus-run-session

Maybe I don't understand something here, but for an investment transaction, the
split for the brokerage account is always in the currency of the brokerage
account, no matter how many decimal places are used for the number of shares
transacted. At least for every investment account I have had, the amount of
money used for any transaction (buy, sell, dividend) is always stated in whole
cents (2 decimal places for $US) no matter the the fraction used for number of
shares and price per share. I'd really like to see an example that
demonstrates the problem you see.

[kmymoney] [Bug 420593] New: A sum of multiple rows selected is incorrect for securities with fraction > 100

2020-04-25 Thread Dawid Wróbel
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=420593

Bug ID: 420593
Summary: A sum of multiple rows selected is incorrect for
securities with fraction > 100
   Product: kmymoney
   Version: git (master)
  Platform: Other
OS: Linux
Status: REPORTED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: general
  Assignee: kmymoney-de...@kde.org
  Reporter: m...@dawidwrobel.com
  Target Milestone: ---

SUMMARY
We assume a fraction of 100 for accounts created through "New account" wizard.
The ledger view then uses said fraction to display a sum if more than 1 row is
selected. If any of the securities are traded with a fraction > 100, the
calculated sum will be off.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Add securities with fraction > 100 to a brokerage account
2. Add some transactions
3. Select more than 1 transaction

OBSERVED RESULT
The sum is rounded to 2 decimal places and is inaccurate.

EXPECTED RESULT
The sum should not be rounded up and instead displayed using a all the decimal
places required.

[amarok] [Bug 419524] lyrics exist in db and are not displayed

2020-04-25 Thread Philippe Conde
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=419524

Hi Pedro,

thanks for your answer. I'm a programmer but I don't have enough knowledge in
C++ and QT5 to update such big application as Amarok.
I had a look in the sources and I have already found some settings for the
lyrics: font size, text alignment etc.

I'll try to find how the lyrics are retrieved for the tracks in the playlist
by the start of amarok.
I'm sure that it is not coming from lyrics.fandom.com but from the DB because I
wrote the lyrics form some live tracks which are different from the standard CD
tracks.
Most of my collection is in french and related to unpopular or protesting
singers, and the lyrics are mostly not found on lyrics.fandom.com

Many thanks for your work.

[plasmashell] [Bug 420561] Icons in panel missing after upgrade

2020-04-25 Thread bugzilla_noreply
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=420561

/usr/share/applications/org.kde.ksysguard.desktop

looks normal and has this set:
Icon=utilities-system-monitor

/usr/share/applications/emacs25.desktop

is empty but has the proper icon in the folder /usr/share/applications/

/home/username/.local/share/plasma_icons/emacs25.desktop

has the broken icon that is shown in the panel

it has this:

[Desktop Entry]
Icon=unknown
Name=emacs25.desktop
Type=Link
URL=/usr/share/applications/emacs25.desktop

I'll copy what I wrote beneath the third screenshot at the linked question
here:

These two problems have to do with this file:
~/.config/plasma-org.kde.plasma.desktop-appletsrc. The fix described at
rglinuxtech.com/?p=1626 (deleting [Configuration][General] entries and renaming
[Configuration] to [Configuration][General]) didn't help much. The icons show
in ~/.local/share/applications/ but not in ~/.local/share/plasma_icons/. I
already tried kbuildsycoca5. The file still contains all my favorites but
Plasma does not load them. I can still add favorites and add apps to the panel
(widget).
When I add one of the apps to the panel that are already present on it but
whose icons doesn't show and then make the other entry in
plasma-org.kde.plasma.desktop-appletsrc look exactly the same the newly added
app icon shows but the old one doesn't. This is because when I add it anew it
adds a new file to ~/.local/share/plasma_icons/ while the other one's icon is
broken because in the file it says "Icon=unknown" (the only difference is that
the new entry links to the new (1) file):

Bug ID: 420589
Summary: Apper crashes after installation or update finished
when using sandboxed APT
   Product: apper
   Version: unspecified
  Platform: Debian stable
OS: Linux
Status: REPORTED
  Severity: minor
  Priority: NOR
 Component: general

  Target Milestone: ---

SUMMARY
I get this error almost always after installing or updating a package:
Application: Apper (apper), signal: Segmentation fault
This is happening since I enabled APT::Sandbox::Seccomp as described
[url=https://unix.stackexchange.com/a/534993/233262]here[/url].

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. On Debian10/KDE enable APT::Sandbox::Seccomp
2. Install or update a package with apper

OBSERVED RESULT
It crashes and asks me to submit a bug report which I can't submit with
reportbug due to it having collected too little information.

EXPECTED RESULT
Apper shouldn't crash.

Bug ID: 420587
Summary: "Limit to home directory" option only available when
right-clicking a directory, not empty space
   Product: dolphin
   Version: 19.12.3
  Platform: Other
OS: Linux
Status: REPORTED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: panels: folders
  Assignee: dolphin-bugs-n...@kde.org
  Reporter: bus_kdezi...@semitwist.com
CC: kfm-de...@kde.org
  Target Milestone: ---

SUMMARY
The "Limit to home directory" option is only included in the right-click menu
when right-clicking an actual directory in the Folders panel, not when
right-clicking empty space within the Folders panel (for example, after the end
of the list).

This is strange because the option doesn't actually relate to any specifically
chosen directory, and is a rather a property of the entire panel itself.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Run dolphin.
2. Go to the Folders panel.
3. Right-click the empty space within the Folders panel below the last entry in
the tree.

OBSERVED RESULT
"Limit to home directory" option is missing from popup context menu.

EXPECTED RESULT
"Limit to home directory" option should be shown in popup context menu.

[plasma-browser-integration] [Bug 420586] New: ECM Dependency version requirement needs to be raised..

Bug ID: 420586
Summary: ECM Dependency version requirement needs to be
raised..
   Product: plasma-browser-integration
   Version: unspecified
  Platform: Debian unstable
OS: Linux
Status: REPORTED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: general
  Assignee: k...@privat.broulik.de
  Reporter: sgmo...@kde.org

SUMMARY
While trying to package the latest release 5.18.4.1 I was greeted with failure:

CMake Error at CMakeLists.txt:97 (kde_clang_format):
  Unknown CMake command "kde_clang_format".

After perusing the ECM repo I see that this feature is introduced in 5.64 so
minimum required ECM is wrong.

set(KF5_MIN_VERSION "5.42.0")

find_package(ECM ${KF5_MIN_VERSION} REQUIRED NO_MODULE)

Sadly debian is still at 5.62 so no new PBI here :(

[kmymoney] [Bug 420584] New: QIF importer ignores new investments

2020-04-25 Thread Dawid Wróbel
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=420584

Bug ID: 420584
Summary: QIF importer ignores new investments
   Product: kmymoney
   Version: git (master)
  Platform: Other
OS: Linux
Status: REPORTED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: importer
  Assignee: kmymoney-de...@kde.org
  Reporter: m...@dawidwrobel.com
  Target Milestone: ---

SUMMARY
QIF importer does not add new securities to the statement, which results in
them being ignored at the time of import with "Transactions involving this
security will be ignored" error.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Import QIF with new securities

OBSERVED RESULT
New securities are ignored

EXPECTED RESULT
Securities should be automatically added or user should be prompted to add them
by hand. The latter is preferred since the default security properties are not
always appropriate (currency, fraction, price precision, etc.).

for Notes widget you should use only Latte git version... Fixes found there can
not be applied to stable branch of v0.9.x

[krita] [Bug 395861] Contiguous Selection Tool is too slow

2020-04-25 Thread Tymond
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=395861

Thanks for measuring!
Tbh, from your table it looks like it's a bit slower than Gimp and adds two
500ms delays, not one - not the 500x500 example where Krita is ridiculously
slow, and in all columns it is very similar to value (Gimp + 1000).

Created attachment 127868
  --> https://bugs.kde.org/attachment.cgi?id=127868=edit
Selection tool

To add to this, I did some testing to the best of my ability, and came up with
the attached figures for each program at 3 different canvas sizes.

I tried to make all tests as consistent as possible, with the same color space
and same file. Single layer, 0 or no threshold/fuzzy, no post-expansion or
feathering.
Measured from the first frame the mouse is down, to the first frame of the
marching ants showing up.

Krita has both a 'standard' and -500ms version listed as someone told me in a
different bug that it has a self-imposed 500ms delay for an unknown reason.

[skrooge] [Bug 417760] Integrating a cash fund managing system

2020-04-25 Thread M0tty
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=417760

Hi !

I do know I can use formulas in the amount field, but the formula is forgotten
and replaced by the result, so there is no memory of it, so it's difficult to
check for any errors after encoding. And to correct an error I have to recreate
the whole formula.

Plus, the interest of my proposal is to have a visual correlation between the
real cash register and the software.

Anyway, thx for this great software!
Regards,

[systemsettings] [Bug 417493] Explicitly set gtk-application-prefer-dark-theme to true or false (as appropriate) when using a GTK theme that doesn't follow the color scheme

2020-04-25 Thread Mikhail Zolotukhin
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=417493

How about that solution: set "gtk-application-prefer-dark-theme" only when
using Breeze GTK theme? So that:
1. When the user selects non Breeze GTK theme the setting got deleted and the
light/dark is decided by GTK theme that was selected.
2. When the user selects Breeze GTK the "gtk-application-prefer-dark-theme"
setting is applied.
3. When the user selects color scheme the GTK setting
"gtk-application-prefer-dark-theme" is only applied, if the current GTK theme
is Breeze GTK

GTK daemon does not create empty .gtkrc-2.0 and respect GTK2_RC_FILES env
variable. Something other is creating it. Could you still reproduce?

Since 5.18 Plasma now uses GTK daemon to manage configurations for GTK
applications and does not override GTK2 file. You can also disable settings
sync via Services KCM.

[kio-extras] [Bug 420578] New: kio-discovery-wsd suffix causes failure connecting to Windows 10 host using WS-Discovery

2020-04-25 Thread Myrddin Wyllt
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=420578

Bug ID: 420578
Summary: kio-discovery-wsd suffix causes failure connecting to
Windows 10 host using WS-Discovery
   Product: kio-extras
   Version: 20.04
  Platform: Manjaro
OS: Linux
Status: REPORTED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: Samba
  Assignee: plasma-b...@kde.org
  Reporter: darknesseats...@aim.com
  Target Milestone: ---

SUMMARY
When attempting to connect to a windows machine using the kio-discovery-wsd
method, dolphin will always fail giving the error: "Could not connect to host
for smb://HOSTNAME.kio-discovery-wsd/". Typing in the hostname directly
circumvents the issue.

Giving dolphin focus triggers file examination which results in nothing (a
separate issue?).

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Setup a WS-Discovery enabled fileshare server (i.e., I used windows 10 in
VM)

2. Use Dolphin to find the share (i.e., this will take multiple refresh
attempts)

3. Attempt to connect by browsing with Dolphin.

4. Erase the suffix (i.e., change smb://HOSTNAME.kio-discovery-wsd/ to
smb://HOSTNAME)

5. Instant connection

OBSERVED RESULT

Reproducible, recurring failure to connect when the kio-discovery-wsd suffix is
thrown into the hostname.

EXPECTED RESULT

Browsing a share you can discover would be the ideal outcome.
