[kmail2] [Bug 420608] Unable to configure a default email format
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=420608 --- Comment #9 from Laurent Montel --- indeed user case can be useful. If we had too many settings user will not know where he must change settings. More easy is adding a global settings Adding this settings in each folder can be a pain for end user which will not knowning where it's configurated when they change it by error. I added a lot of bug report about identity where user changed it in specific folder by error and didn't know why they didn"t have a specific identity when they replied to an email. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
[systemsettings] [Bug 420673] GTK icon theme not configurable anymore
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=420673 --- Comment #2 from Christoph Feck --- Icon themes are not required to ship with all possible icons, because the XDG icon spec defines inheritance. Unless it is possible to inherit from both KDE and GNOME icon themes at the same time, users will expect to configure icon themes separately. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
[systemsettings] [Bug 413165] Please add option to reduce screen brightness in kcm_nightcolor
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=413165 --- Comment #5 from Daniel Tang --- This would be really nice. I updated KDE one day and noticed that it added built-in Night Color. I promptly enabled it and uninstalled redshift. I soon noticed that I had the brightness dimmed in redshift but in KDE there wasn't an option for that. I am on a desktop with dual external monitors. I can't change the brightness on the monitors themselves because they don't let me change the brightness in SRGB mode. I also don't want to turn off SRGB because the monitors are slightly different models and the color would be weird. I tried setting the brightness using xrandr but that undid the effect of Night Mode. I would greatly appreciate it if KDE Night Mode could change both the color and the brightness -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

Krfb will only use that left monitor with no way to configure with monitor to use. Extract from xrandr: DP-1 connected 1920x1080+1050+509 (normal left inverted right x axis y axis) 521mm x 293mm HDMI-1 connected primary 1050x1680+0+0 left (normal left inverted right x axis y axis) 474mm x 296mm DVI-D-1 connected 1920x1080+2970+509 (normal left inverted right x axis y axis) 520mm x 290mm For me it will only work with HDMI-1 (left hand), where I wanted to use it for the right hand DVI-D-1. Suggested behaviour: A combo box with all available monitors if greater than 1 which change the captured framebuffer region to that monitor. An optional advanced mode where the user can define a size and offset from top left (WxH+X+Y). Basically a way to do the equivalent of x11vnc's -clip option. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

Here is my problem : When i go to Network in the left panel within Dolphin, i can't see my Windows 10 machine, although i can see all my other machines (rasberry pi with raspbian mainly) Then, when i type smb://my_username@my_win_machine in the Dolphin address bar , this is OK, i can browse through the remote shares Then, when I try to open a movie by double-clicking on it, VLC can't open it, it says "operation not permitted" (in vlc logs). But when i double-click on a another type of file (pdf...), this is OK Well, my concern is that just after this, i installed Nautilus, and there is not problem at all, it sees my Windows machine by default and no problem to play the videos on the remote shares with VLC. [QtCurve] [Bug 353216] qtcurve-qt5 is missing the qtcurve window decoration in Plasma 5
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=353216 --- Comment #38 from Christoph Feck --- > Too bad that Qt doesn't provide better examples for help. Any comments from > the KDE people on their board? Qt is not related to KWin window decorations. > Too bad KDE couldn't integrate qtcurve-qt5 into their code (just a thought). That wouldn't have helped. There are several other KWin 4 window decorations that were not ported to KWin 5 because of lack of man power. Anyway, let me add that Yichao's findings about the complexity of the QtCurve code are spot on. It requires a really patient/dedicated developer to read through it. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=353216 --- Comment #37 from Roman Bysh --- Some times when I type out my comments they appear much too harsh than I intend them to be. This is something that I'm working on ;-). For this I apologize and would like to clear the slate on this topic. I know that you have spent a great deal of your personal time on this project including several other projects. I understand that this window decoration is more complex than the average widget. Too bad that Qt doesn't provide better examples for help. Any comments from the KDE people on their board? I wish you the best of luck in finding a coder with time on their hands to help you finish this great project. Too bad KDE couldn't integrate qtcurve-qt5 into their code (just a thought). I'll put the word out for people that have time to code using C++ with openSUSE. Can you post on your GIT site that you're looking for help. It has a shadow layer, with semi-transparent gray color. I've used it in another project made with 19.12.3 some days before the fresh project. I also rendered this older project with 19.12.3, and in it the shadow-part of my image is visible. But rendering my new project with 20.04.0 only renders the red shape itself, without the semi-transparent shadow part. Interestingly, after I load the new project into the old version, and do the rendering, the shadow is visible again. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Insert some background in a new project on V1 track, for example white color. 2. Place the attached image above it, on V2 track (default 5 seconds duration is enough) 3. [krita] [Bug 420666] shortcut to duplicate the selected area
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=420666 vanyossi changed: What|Removed |Added CC||ghe...@gmail.com --- Comment #1 from vanyossi --- Changing behaviour of tools depending on context could get confusing. Specially if the selection is small. Suddenly duplicate won't work as expected or it might feel as broken (seletions are saved to file) Perhaps adding a modifier to like Ctrol + Shift + J could make duplicate take selections into account. Did you discuss this feature somewhere? It is advices that all new features and wishes be discussed first, either as a proposal, use cases, why is it needed, etc; or as an open discussion in a forum such as https://krita-artists.org/c/develop/feature-requests/ -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

[systemsettings] [Bug 420673] New: GTK icon theme not configurable anymore
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=420673 Bug ID: 420673 Summary: GTK icon theme not configurable anymore Product: systemsettings Version: 5.18.4 Platform: Archlinux Packages OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: kcm_icons Assignee: plasma-b...@kde.org Reporter: bugs.kde@derflupp.e4ward.com Target Milestone: --- Created attachment 127930 --> https://bugs.kde.org/attachment.cgi?id=127930=edit screenshots In kcm_icons, the GTK icon theme cannot be configured independently from the KDE icon theme. This is in contrast to the application style (kcm_style), where the GTK2 application style, GTK3 application style, and KDE application style can be chosen independently. Not being able to configure a different icon theme for GTK applications and for KDE applications is problematic because KDE icon themes lack icons that some GTK applications depend on and GTK icon themes lack some icons that KDE applications depend on. This leads to missing icons or inconsistent icon styles within an application when fallbacks apply. The screenshots show missing icons in Dolphin’s toolbar when using Adwaita and an inconsistent icon style in Evolution when using Breeze. In previous versions, the GTK icon theme could be configured independently of the KDE icon theme. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
