https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=426482 --- Comment #5 from Simon Redman --- (In reply to Titir Adhikary from comment #4) > I'm sorry I think the screenshots might be confusing. In one screenshot I > have sent the messages. In the other one they look I have received them and > not sent them. I see, maybe I was confused. In the screenshots from the phone, it says "Received", but this means the other person received the outgoing message, right? In that case, I agree that there is some issue here. Most likely it is because the phone vendor is doing something non-standard when saving messages. Since this doesn't happen on my device and since I haven't heard of it happening anywhere else, it will unfortunately be very annoying to track down. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

The number of the messages is indicated normally and in order of arrival but they are not displayed. When exiting the program and restarting, the mails appear, so there is not data loss. The messages appear also correctly filtered when they do not display and the notification is displayed timely and correctly, so this does not seem filter related. I did run akonadictl fsck and vacuum but there are no errors. [frameworks-kio] [Bug 392531] Add option to have "Move" as default DND action instead of the pop-up menu
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=392531 Alemar changed: What|Removed |Added CC||dark.guy.2...@gmail.com --- Comment #18 from Alemar --- Hi, user coming from Windows and OSX here. I actually reached this bug when searching for "kde disable context menu when moving files" in Google, which redirected me to this reddit thread: https://www.reddit.com/r/kde/comments/b8ql3x/how_do_i_disable_that_dropdown_menu_that_appears/ So it seems that it is definitely a nuisance. While I agree the menu is dang useful, it also gets in the way everytime I need to move a file quickly, as I tend to forget what Ctrl/Shift/Alt do to files when dragging them. KDE years ago, to me, was very advanced with a plethora of options - kinda the opposite of Gnome and other DEs. Now, it's simpler yet still powerful with the same bunch of options to configure everything... ...everything but this behavior!!! So yeah, the menu is good, let's keep it, but PLEASE let's add a small settings window somewhere for the user to choose the default action when dragging files to any folder. If we want to get nifty, we can do it per local/remote folder, or whatever, but honestly this context menu appearing EVERYTIME I drag a file is driving me crazy. I appreciate the efforts made on this, and I also agree that it's user expected behavior as the other OSes also do it the same way. If I move my relatives to Linux (and KDE is a great option because it works almost like Windows, which is great), they'll definitely be thrown off by that and ask me "Hey how do I disable this menu?" so yeah... -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=426505 Bug ID: 426505 Summary: Audio Correction > Pan effect distorting volume Product: kdenlive Version: 20.08.1 Platform: Microsoft Windows OS: Microsoft Windows Status: REPORTED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: Effects & Transitions Assignee: vpi...@kde.org Reporter: michaelwitte...@gmail.com Target Milestone: --- SUMMARY I have a clip that is quieter in the left than the right, so I want to pan it to even it up. But as soon as I add a pan effect, it just boosts the volume so loud it constantly redlines (from being VERY low before that). STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Add a clip with audio to the timeline and test the audio 2. Add the Audio correction > Pan effect 3. Test the audio again and it will be boosted to distortion Not sure if this is just in windows or other OS's as well, but happens in 20.08.0 and 20.08.1 (upgraded to test if it was fixed in .1) OBSERVED RESULT Audio distorts EXPECTED RESULT Audio should stay the same until pan is set to left or right) SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Windows: 10 2004 (OS Build 19041.508) macOS: Linux/KDE Plasma: (available in About System) KDE Plasma Version: KDE Frameworks Version: Qt Version: ADDITIONAL INFORMATION -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

[okular] [Bug 426504] New: Pages are not rendered while inertially-scrolling through a multi-page file
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=426504 Bug ID: 426504 Summary: Pages are not rendered while inertially-scrolling through a multi-page file Product: okular Version: 1.11.0 Platform: Debian testing OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: general Assignee: okular-de...@kde.org Reporter: bren...@quantumfurball.net Target Milestone: --- SUMMARY New pages that come into view, which have not previously been rendedered, are not rendered while inertially-scrolling through a multi-page file. They are only rendered once the scrolling animation stops. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Open a multi-page file (I've tested PDF and CHM files). 2. Grab the page and fling it once so that Okular starts inertially scrolling through the pages at decent speed. 3. Watch the pages come into view. OBSERVED RESULT After the first couple of pages (maybe related to a performance setting?) subsequent pages are all unrendered (blank, except for the Okular icon in the top left corner of the page). It doesn't seem to be related to the complexity of the pages, and continues even as the scrolling animation slows down. As soon as the inertial scrolling stops or the user grabs the page, the page(s) in view are rendered. The renderer seems to be waiting for the scrolling to stop. EXPECTED RESULT Pages are rendered as/before they come into view. SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS KDE Plasma Version: 5.17.5 KDE Frameworks Version: 5.70.0 Qt Version: 5.14.2 ADDITIONAL INFORMATION With this bug, inertial scrolling is not useful for scanning through a document (otherwise it might be a good use-case; e.g. looking for a half-remembered figure). I haven't seen this behaviour with any of the regular scrolling methods. PgUp/PgDown may just move too slowly to show the effect (especially with #422050, but perhaps now that's fixed...), even though it uses animation. No-one else noticed this? Or maybe something is messed up in my config? Honestly not sure - sorry for the noise, if it's just me. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

I've also tried the latest dev version (20.11.70) and still have the same issue. After attempting to edit the tracks in two different versions I am now unable to add video to my original tracks. I will keep experimenting, but I think it's a definite bug. [ark] [Bug 426499] New: Draggable area not clearly signposted/misleading highlighting
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=426499 Bug ID: 426499 Summary: Draggable area not clearly signposted/misleading highlighting Product: ark Version: 20.08.1 Platform: Compiled Sources OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: general Assignee: elvis.angelac...@kde.org Reporter: aa_accou...@ntmail.uk CC: rthoms...@gmail.com Target Milestone: --- Created attachment 131614 --> https://bugs.kde.org/attachment.cgi?id=131614=edit Ark vs Dolphin highlighting SUMMARY When selecting files to drag, the file's entire column is highlighted blue, despite the only draggable bit being the name. This means that there is a large area which looks drag-droppable which I can't drag, and also a large area which looks like I can't use to drag-select, when in fact I can. Dolphin (in detail view mode) does this better, only highlighting the draggable area blue, so giving clear separation between drag-drop and drag-select areas. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Open file in Ark, select some files. 2. Drag them over to some other application from the right hand side. OBSERVED RESULT The selection in Ark is changed. EXPECTED RESULT The right hand rows shouldn't be highlighted in the first place, so I won't try to drag there. SUMMARY After updating to Qt 5.15.1, plasmashell seems to have a compendium of issues related to multi-monitor support: 1. After starting plasmashell, both screens flicker for a second. 2. The wallpapers are in the wrong monitors. 3. Notifications are in the wrong monitor (secondary instead of primary) 4. KRunner always is in the secondary monitor, and, when free-floating, its always in the upper left (or right, depending on position) corner of the secondary monitor. 5. The "add new applets" menu refuses to open. Using latte-dock for panels, so applets shouldn't have an effect on plasmashell behaviour. Doing plasmashell --replace in KRunner fixes all of the above issues. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Update to qt 5.15.1 OBSERVED RESULT Multi-monitor support seems broken. [kate] [Bug 426495] New: Kate is showing project only if .kateproject file is opened in Kate
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=426495 Bug ID: 426495 Summary: Kate is showing project only if .kateproject file is opened in Kate Product: kate Version: 20.04.1 Platform: Fedora RPMs OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: application Assignee: kwrite-bugs-n...@kde.org Reporter: nikunjbhat...@gmail.com Target Milestone: --- SUMMARY Kate is not auto-detecting .kateproject file I am browsing in Filesystem Browser sidebar panel. If there is .kateproject file in a folder and that folder is already open in Filesystem Browser then Kate should auto-detect the .kateproject file and add the current folder as a project in the Projects panel. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Open a folder/directory in Filesystem Browser 2. Create/save a .kateproject file in that folder 3. Close and reopen Kate 4. Navigate to the same folder in Filesystem Browser (if not already open) where the .kateproject file was created/saved. Now the folder should get added to the Projects panel as a project but it is not getting added. 5. Open the .kateproject file. Now the folder is added as a project in Projects panel. OBSERVED RESULT The folder is only detected as a project after its .kateproject file is opened in Kate. Is it happening because I haven't added .kateproject file in the folder's Git repo? I haven't, and I think it should not matter, Kate should show the folder in Projects panel regardless of whether the .kateproject file is added to Git repo or not. EXPECTED RESULT Kate should auto-detect .kateproject file from curretly opened folder in Filesystem Browser and add that folder as a project in the Projects panel. SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Linux/KDE Plasma: Fedora 32 KDE Plasma Version: 5.18.5 KDE Frameworks Version: 5.70.0 Qt Version: 5.14.2 ADDITIONAL INFORMATION Suggestion: Instead of creating .kateproject file in the folders of the projects, these should be maintained somewhere in ~/.config folder of currently logged in user. https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=411393 Tymond changed: What|Removed |Added Latest Commit||https://invent.kde.org/grap ||hics/krita/commit/a24aa5c79 ||905163619a1ac7d6659d79de54a ||cdc4 Status|ASSIGNED|RESOLVED Resolution|--- |FIXED --- Comment #2 from Tymond --- Git commit a24aa5c79905163619a1ac7d6659d79de54acdc4 by Agata Cacko. Committed on 13/09/2020 at 18:31. Pushed by tymond into branch 'master'. Fix font options after clearing the rich text editor Before this commit, if the rich text editor for SVG Text Tool was cleared, the options for the text would be lost and changed to the default ones. This commit fixes it by remembering the old options and restoring them. Note: it might be beneficial to consider figuring out how to set the Format in the location just before the text instead, because that would (partially) fix bug 411739. https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=426460 Peter G. Becan changed: What|Removed |Added Status|REPORTED|RESOLVED Resolution|--- |NOT A BUG --- Comment #2 from Peter G. Becan --- Thank you for the very quick and thorough response. I now understand that the failure was because I was using an improper custom import format. I can also see that the application might purposely ignoring a bad format and moving on. What got me confused, then, was zero feedback from the application that I was wrong. Having the application point out the errors in my input would be asking be too much. Perhaps when the application applies the import format and gets nothing, it could display a message stating that. So when the user screws up like I did, at least the application lets me know "hey there! I tried your import format and it didn't match anything, so you probably did something wrong" rather than silence, which makes me think that the application isn't working or that there's some other button/command somewhere that had to be clicked/issued in order to execute the import. Thanks for KID3. I find it to be comprehensive and I really enjoy it. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
