[kup] [Bug 426804] Filedigger launcher is confusing rsync users
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=426804 Simon Persson changed: What|Removed |Added Priority|NOR |LO Status|REPORTED|CONFIRMED Ever confirmed|0 |1 Severity|normal |minor --- Comment #1 from Simon Persson --- Filedigger was created to allow a merged view of backups, for each file or folder the user can see a list of timestamps and open or restore that specific one. For rsync type of backups that makes no sense since there only ever is one version saved. Also, since the users files are saved at the backup location just as a stright simple copy then it makes sense to just use a file browser to look at the saved files. User can copy anything they need from there. Keeping this bug report open since clearly there is improvement potential in how kup presents information, labeling of buttons etc. to make it clear what the user should expect from interacting with kup. Any suggestion for how to avoid misunderstandings is appreciated! Thank you for taking the time to report! -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
[valgrind] [Bug 425232] PPC ISA 3.1 support is missing, part 2
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=425232 --- Comment #28 from Carl Love --- Updated the functional patches. The updated patch for the boolean extension instructions includes the changes described in comment 12 which addresses Julian's concerns from comment 12. The testsuite patches were also updated based on the committed functional patches and the two fix patches. So these patches now cleanly apply to mainline and have been retested on a Power 9 LE and a Power 8 BE system. After some time passed, the pattern of failure apparently has changed for a mysterious reason. Now, the problem happens with the screens going just to sleep. No matter of restoring the config files from backups from various dates cured the problem... Unless there are config files elsewhere than in in ~/.config that need restoring? Btw, what is the purpose of this mysterious :0.0 entry being added to the ScreenConnectors? Why is it being added *in*the*middle* rather than at the end? And if the purpose of this entry is irrelevant for most use cases anyways, can't we have a config option to just disable this behavior? Could an actual developer please chime in here? Indeed, I'd rather have a couple of clicks to perform once and for all after buying a new screen, rather than having to do that each time the screens wake up. [plasmashell] [Bug 419867] Bouncing when changing virtual desktop through touchpad or mouse wheel scroll (broken with Folder View, works with Desktop view)
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=419867 Reziac changed: What|Removed |Added Version|5.18.4 |5.19.5 CC||r...@doomgold.com Platform|Archlinux Packages |PCLinuxOS --- Comment #24 from Reziac --- Same problem with PCLOS/KDE 5.19.5, started after a big KDE update 3-4 months ago. Had previously worked fine. It does sometimes work IF the pointer hovers over the virtual desktops indicator, but more often I have to click to access the desired desktop. Just installed Fedora/KDE on another system. Worked fine until after I updated it (full update last night). Now does not work, as described by others, and exactly as above. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

[Breeze] [Bug 416003] Scrollbar width in Breeze theme
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=416003 --- Comment #6 from AlexDeLorenzo.dev --- (In reply to Nate Graham from comment #5) > What I'm saying is that if clicking on small things is hard, they should > make *everything* larger, not just the scrollbars. It does not make sense to > me that a person would have difficulty clicking on small scrollbars but > would have no trouble clicking on small window close buttons, sliders, list > items, etc. Those are of a similar size and should therefore be similarly > difficult to click on with their default sizes. So they should be made > larger as well. Therefore if clicking on small things is hard, the solution > is to make everything larger--not just one of those small things. I understand that that's what makes sense to you, but the impaired user's use case goes against those assumptions. For the impaired user, they have the need to increase the scrollbar size, but no need to increase the rest of the UI. Again, this is because they have difficulty using the mouse scroll wheel. The scrollbar on Breeze is very thin, thinner than the scrollbar on older versions of Windows or macOS. If there is no way to increase the size of the scrollbar like it can be using other Qt themes or GTK, they will necessarily need to use something other than Breeze. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
