[kde] [Bug 426227] Appearance of windows
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=426227 --- Comment #8 from K6 de Dijon --- Good morning Following your suggestion to use Workspace - Workspace Behavior - Screen Locking and choosing a screen in the Appearance tab I do have the sleep function that activates, but the display is FIXE. There is therefore a risk of marking the screen. When I am interrupted, it lasts from a few minutes to more than an hour. So I got into the habit of putting the screen on the screensaver after 5 minutes and triggering the screen cut after 45 minutes. The most frequent interruptions range from 20 to 35 minutes. So I don't have to wait for the time of awakening to resume the current task. I'm not looking for a complicated screensaver since ASCIIquarium suits me. Waiting to read you. Cassis PS : Yes I'm french, this is an automatic translation -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

Committed on 05/10/2020 at 05:07. Pushed by alexeymin into branch 'release/20.08'. Make sure to save security settings each time they are modified Settings that are modified using normal settings window, which is invoked using menu "Configure Desktop Sharing..." are always saved correctly. However some settings that are present on Krfb main window (normal password, unattended password, checkbox "enable unattended access") are not handled by KConfigDialog and there is a chance that settings might not be saved correctly (for example if application was suddenly terminated). This hopefully fixes some bugs which are present since year 2011-2014 and have 110 votes, like https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=340411, maybe something else. Open settings 2. Go to Global Theme 3. Select a Theme (bug better seen with Breeze Dark) and apply 4. Select Breeze again and apply OBSERVED RESULT New tools area keeps Breeze Dark colors. If you go to the colors page and select another one (like Breeze Light) and then go back to the Breeze color scheme the colors go back to the old Plasma style. I don't know if this is supposed to happen. The same happens between other themes. Please check the video I made: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iFtGO6jVxKo=youtu.be It shows me changing between themes and at the end of the video I change only the colors. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Go to System Settings -> Search -> KRunner 2. Look at the modules, dig into them. Each item has an About icon to click on, but doing so doesn't add any explanation of how I interface with it or what the module does. OBSERVED RESULT For example, the only hint of how to use the Spell Checker plugin is that I have to click on the Configure gear icon next to its name and figure out that it wants me to type "spell ___" to use it. The usage is buried in configuration. But not all modules have configuration. Or to use the Unit Converter, which is super handy, there is no education of what I have to type or what are its abilities. I have Skrooge installed and it installs its own KRunner module. But its About dialog doesn't tell me how to use it. Frustrating. EXPECTED RESULT There should be some kind of clear interface that educates me on how to trigger the plugin (if it needs explicit triggering), what kind of inputs its looking for, or add a more fleshed out explanation of its abilities. https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=424915 --- Comment #5 from Nikunj Bhatt --- As can be seen in the attached image, the sorting order of the directories is right but it is not helpful when we want to see the directories sorted by modified date of the files inside them. Mostly main purpose of sorting is this rather than what is currently implemented and correct. I think an option should be given to sort directories according to the files' order. While this might be the preferred default on many laptops and office PCs, it is rather limiting the initial indexing on a computer with a lot of files and a lot of computing power. My machine is equipped a 16-core Ryzen 3950X with Hyperthreading, so using only a single core for indexing means I have to wait much longer until the initial scan is finished than the hardware would be capable of otherwise. So my request is the following: Please consider adding the capability of configuring the number of parallel threads / processes used for indexing the files. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

[kate] [Bug 427270] Crash while using Go to Definition in LSP Client with svelte-language-server
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=427270 --- Comment #8 from Mark Nauwelaerts --- Oops, the crash is obviously bad, but is fortunately plugged now. As for it not working (and the Url turning empty), that is actually a server-side problem. As specified (https://microsoft.github.io/language-server-protocol/specifications/specification-current/#textDocument_definition) the reply to a 'textDocument/definition') can be one of Location, or Location[] or LocationLink[]. However, the latter depends on the client specifying it is so capable (which allows extending the protocol without surprising existing client). As it stands, the client does not support that reply nor does it claim to in reported capabilities, so the server should not resort to sending that type of reply. It's not difficult to extend parsing to handle that reply as well (and will likely do so in the coming days), but such is the background of the situation. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

[digikam] [Bug 423993] Allow rightclick on thumbnails in preview mode
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=423993 --- Comment #4 from Geoff King --- I find the current behavior un-intuitive. If you select multiple images in the Preview Mode, then you can still do operations on them, but you need to right click on the preview. For example, you select 5 images and want to add them to the batch queue manager. You must first move down to the single preview image and then right click. Can you please separate the brush cursor's render process from that of the Canvas' ? There's a weird and slight stutter/delay just after the end of each stroke while painting. The issue is even more obvious with Instant Preview mode active. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. with a pixel engine brush selected, paint multiple strokes like if you wanted to do hatching lines. Instant preview is inactive. 2. repeat step 1 by painting as fast as you can and see if the brush cursor doesn't jump to catch up(might be frame drop at the end of each stroke, I don't know) 3. repeat step 1 with but this time with Instant Preview active. OBSERVED RESULTS At the end of each Stroke, the brush cursor stops moving or freezes for a brief amount of time then jumps to its correct position. With instant preview inactive, the impact is dampened. But with Instant preview active, it's just obvious. Tested on a Krita plus stable build : version 4.4.1 alpha(git b20cb06).
