Same problem also when creating a local file and folder in Dolphin. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Create a bootable Live USB for KDE neon with Etcher 1.5.113. Use for example the Etcher AppImage version. https://github.com/balena-io/etcher/releases/tag/v1.5.113 2. Then restart the computer and boot the Live USB. 3. Open Dolphin, activate Details view and add "Created" to the column. 4. View a file and folder via column and info. You can also create a .txt file or folder. 5. The creation time (crtime/btime) is not shown, neither in the column nor under info for files and folders. It does not show the timestamp and is empty. OBSERVED RESULT A bootable Live USB for KDE neon does not support the display in Dolphin of creation time (crtime/btime) for local folders and files. Support for bootable Live USB is missing. EXPECTED RESULT I expect KDE neon to boot from a bootable live USB also showing creation time in Dolphin. SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Linux/KDE Plasma: KDE neon 5.20 KDE Plasma Version: 5.20.4 KDE Frameworks Version: 5.77.0 Qt Version: 5.15.2 ADDITIONAL INFORMATION This problem only exists when KDE neon is used on a bootable Live USB. If KDE neon is installed on a hard disk then this problem does not exist. Let me add that today I discovered another event that triggers this bug: Plugging in my graphics tablet, an Intuos 4, while a brush with less than 100% opacity is selected, will also trigger the "edited" icon on the brush preset the first time the pen comes close enough to the tablet to be active. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Select a brush with less than 100% opacity. 2. Plug in a graphics tablet. 3. Bring the pen into contact with the tablet. OBSERVED RESULT The "pencil" overlay appears on the selected brush, though the brush's settings don't appear to have been changed. EXPECTED RESULT The overlay shouldn't appear and the brush settings shouldn't change. I've also noticed other instances of this bug happening while working. I haven't yet figured out what triggers those events however. I also have two brushes that switch opacity at least once a day. My sketch pencil, at 75% opacity, and my eraser, at 100%, will sometimes trade opacities. I don't know what triggers that yet either. I'm assuming it's related to the other instances. Like many others, I hide the title bar for maximized windows and therefore have to show plasmoids for app title and app buttons. Integrating these into the title bar, would hit several flies with one stroke: In a mac-like desktop arrangement, currently, Window Buttons, Application Title and Global Menu sometimes get out of sync. It is not always clear which window you are closing. And it is weird to have different window buttons for maximized windows from a usability standpoint. If the menu was integrated into the title-bar, there would be no difference between maximized and windowed windows. Animations would be consistent, vertical screen space would be saved. Unfortunately update stopped at 66% - since 15 minutes progress didn't change. I discovered that installation of package like in subject caused this problem. Obviously this is really annoying when user cannot update system. I think issue seems to be related with KNewStuff backend. In drive I had over 500MB free space. Note I clicked into "Tasks" which shows progress of installation for package. Trying to stop it I clicked into "x" present in line "View updates - Installing" and happened nothing. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Having updates start Discover 2. Click "Update all" 3. Wait till will be installed any package coming from "KNewStuf" 4. OBSERVED RESULT Installation of system is stopped EXPECTED RESULT Should be able to skip installation of package which has no progress since couple minutes or better any package should not block update. We are now making a manual redirection, whether HTTPS is now being redirect to HTTP actually doesn't matter. 2) We only download one file for Showfoto that is used for the red eye tool. The problem is that with QStandardPaths::AppDataLocation the application name is included in the search path. The file would not be found in the digiKam path. I valid to continue the process and only one file is downloaded. Process stop at next one about a security error. I need to close digiKam and start again, to process next file. This must be done like this until last file processed... 2/ Under MacOS bundle, Showfoto is also available. At first start of the application, the same assistant is show. The data must be shared between both application to reduce spaced used (after all, it's 300Mb used as data model). Voilà, have a nice Christmas with your family.
