[digikam] [Bug 432764] Face detection (!) with few results

2021-02-10 Thread Christian
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=432764

Sensitivity level 70%. I'd say for half of the group photos detection is 100%,
most of the others there is always one or two faces of 20-30 missed out.

Then there are two special photos: a group of 20 at carnival, without masks,
with detection about 50%; another group of about 80, so rather tiny faces, none
of them detected.

Please let me know, if I can help you with variation of settings or photos to
send over.

[frameworks-syntax-highlighting] [Bug 432785] New: javascript-react.xml has external file ref in a Rule's context

2021-02-10 Thread Gene Thomas
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=432785

Bug ID: 432785
Summary: javascript-react.xml has external file ref in a Rule's
context
   Product: frameworks-syntax-highlighting
   Version: unspecified
  Platform: Other
OS: Other
Status: REPORTED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: syntax
  Assignee: kwrite-bugs-n...@kde.org
  Reporter: g...@genethomas.com
CC: walter.von.entfer...@posteo.net
  Target Milestone: ---

SUMMARY

javascript-react.xml contains:

My reading of
https://docs.kde.org/stable5/en/applications/katepart/highlight.html only says
that a Rule's context can contain references like:

"The context can be identified by:

1. An identifier, which is the name of the other context.
2. An order telling the engine to stay in the current context (#stay), or to
pop back to a previous context used in the string (#pop).
3. To go back more steps, the #pop keyword can be repeated: #pop#pop#pop
4. An order followed by an exclamation mark (!) and an identifier, which will
make the engine first follow the order and then switch to the other context,
e.g. #pop#pop!OtherContext.
"

Only or can contain name##file refs.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Load a .html file into a syntax highlighting engine. This includes
javascript-react.xml

OBSERVED RESULT

A complaint about the NoRegExp##JavaScript not being local

EXPECTED RESULT

There should not be file ref like NoRegExp##JavaScript in a Rule's context

Right now we do kind of have the ability with a loong list of modifications
you can make under the "Advanced" tab. However this is a pretty poor user
experience overall. For the common case of wanting to make one key do something
different (e.g. turn Caps Lock into Compose) or swap two keys (e.g. swap the
position of the Fn and Ctrl keys), the UI is overwhelming and inflexible; if
the exact thing you want to do is not listed, it can't be done at all.

[kwin] [Bug 432750] No generic way to re-map keys on Wayland

Thanks.

Those pre-existing options don't cut it, because there's no way for me to make
the Insert key into PrintScreen. Without that, I won't have a PrintScreen key.

I spent 3 hours of web searching and trial and error and did not succeed in
creating a custom keyboard layout to reverse these two keys. Using xmodmap is
easy, but this xkb thing is torture. This is desperately crying out for a GUI
so it can take 30 seconds and always work rather than gobbling up an afternoon
and making you feel like a failure.

workspace
   Product: krita
   Version: 4.4.1
  Platform: Microsoft Windows
OS: Microsoft Windows
Status: REPORTED

SUMMARY
Using a Huion Kamvas 13; without observable cause, pen making contact with the
tablet (only within the Krita workspace are) will not be recognized, motion
will still be tracked as well as off canvas operations (ie: selecting tools,
layers, etc. This issue does not occur on other drawing platforms. At random
times, the recognition will return, though without the pressure settings
registering.

[digikam] [Bug 432761] reread of XMP metadata leaves tag hierarchy scrambled

2021-02-10 Thread Ervan Darnell
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=432761

Ok, there is an easy work around:
1) Create tag "temp"
2) Select all 2020/2020/11 Bob pics from the tag manager and assign them to
"temp".
3) Delete 2020/2020/11 Bob and 2020/11 Bob tags completely.
4) Rename temp to 2020/11 Bob

I'm still happy to help debug if you care. Also, the original parsing of x.y
is tags somehow buggy and I can help drill down on that if you care. Thanks
for all of the quick replies.

[digikam] [Bug 432761] reread of XMP metadata leaves tag hierarchy scrambled

2021-02-10 Thread Ervan Darnell
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=432761

All *xmp files are *.mp4.xmp in the relevant directory, so a duplicate .xmp is
not the answer. I unchecked 2020/2020/11 Bob, checked 2020/11 Bob (in the Tags
UI), then clicked "apply". The log follows.

Your theory there is some problem with the database makes sense as the .XMP
seems fine. I imported many files with x.y keywords. Some of the get parsed
as x/y, some as x/x.y, and some as x.y (where '/' is the hierarchy separator
in digiKam:TagsList). I was able to clean many of these by manually assigning
tags. So, things are usually working, but there are several cases, 2020/11 Bob
one of them, where I cannot clean them up. I mean that other very similar .XMP
files worked, so that only leaves the theory there is something in the database
different in this case.

It seems odd to me that digiKam should be keeping any of this state when I
explicitly request a metadata reread. Something is both munged in the database
and not being cleaned out. I'm not willing to share the whole database (as
there is a lot of confidential information in there), but I can open it and
look at some tables if you tell me where to start on that.

For instance, the tags table contains:
119722 11 Bob
1199119111 Bob

The pid of 22 is 0. The pids for 1191 (in TagsTree) are:
11910
119122

and 22 in Tags:
22 0 2020

apparently representing 2020/11 Bob and 2020/2020/11 Bob both, but that doesn't
explain why I cannot reassign tags.

[frameworks-baloo] [Bug 432717] Baloo scans content from too many files

2021-02-10 Thread David Palacio
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=432717

I'm sorry, I don't know Baloo internals. I explain my experience from my point
of view. I may have a little experience programming and know a tiny bit of KDE
libraries but in this situation, I am but a final user. I don't have any mean
intent.

Baloo, by means of QMimeDatabase, I stand corrected, seems to ignore the user
mime database. From the point of view of a final user this seems to be an
oversight. I think that you might be thinking I should file a report against
QMimeDatabase about this. The problem is I am not an adecuate person for that.
I have no idea of what QMimeDatabase is, how it is used, how to develop with
it. Please do what you think is best in this case, I trust your judgement
better than my own.

By making bug reports I hope to better the Baloo experience for myself and
everyone else. I think this has the potential to help a lot of people.

Furthermore, I want to kindly reiterate. Plain text doesn't imply meaningful
user readable data. Please reconsider accepting all of text/plain data as
indexable content. The text/plain mimetype reach is too broad.
