[frameworks-kunitconversion] [Bug 428464] Missing currencies in the converter of Krunner
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=428464 --- Comment #8 from skrachen --- update after some research: I found 2 open-source apps that do currency conversion: - moneta (github.com/matfantinel/moneta) that uses a custom API, which source code I could not find - KEuroCalc (github.com/KDE/keurocalc/blob/master/currencies/currencies.cpp) which uses the ECB API, plus timegenie API (https://rss.timegenie.com/forex2.xml). Timegenie API seems to work well and has many currencies, but I couldn't find any copyright or privacy policy statement on their site. Some Central Banks provide exchange rates through APIs: - Taiwan: ECB data + Taiwanese and vietnamese currencies (https://rate.bot.com.tw/xrt/fltxt/0/day) - Vietnam: ECB data + Vietnamese, saudi and kuwaiti currencies (https://portal.vietcombank.com.vn/Usercontrols/TVPortal.TyGia/pXML.aspx?b=68) - Israel: there are a few middle eastern currencies missing from the ECB (https://www.boi.org.il/currency.xml?rdate=20210412) With only currencies that are already available through the ECB API: - Brazil: https://opendata.bcb.gov.br/dataset/exchange-rates-daily-bulletins -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=434403 --- Comment #1 from Matt Fagnani --- I've continued to see this problem when I've logged out of Plasma 5.21.4 with KF 5.80.0 and logged in within about 40 seconds. If I logged in again after about 40-60 seconds, then Plasma started normally. When I rebooted or shut down from Plasma, a systemd message like "A stop job is running for User Manager for UID 1000" was shown for 40-60 seconds before the reboot or shutdown happened most of the time. I noticed in the KF 5.81.0 changelog for kded https://kde.org/announcements/frameworks/5/5.81.0/ the commit "make kded shut down cleanly during systemd session teardown" https://invent.kde.org/frameworks/kded/-/commit/96aa058b2b70bc19484e649b5bfcbb86d36336ff I changed /usr/lib/systemd/user/plasma-kded.service like in that commit by adding the line PartOf=graphical-session.target I logged in and out multiple times after that making that change, kded5 didn't abort during logout according to coredumpctl. Plasma started normally each time I logged in again within 10 seconds of logging out. That commit might be sufficient to avoid this problem. kwalletd5 still aborted when logging out, though kwalletd5 appears to just have a dbus-activated systemd service /usr/share/dbus-1/services/org.kde.kwalletd5.service and not a user session one like kded. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

I have my display scaling set to 2.5x and sometimes my maximized windows refuse to close when the pointer is in the extreme top-right of the screen. In the video at http://www.paulmcauley.com/kde/bugs/client_width_maximize_bug.mp4 I have a terminal with output being shown from the following placed in the Breeze window decoration code: qDebug() << "Client width:" << client().data()->width(); I was trying to debug whether this was being caused by the window decoration or the client, but it seems that under normal circumstances for my setup my client width when maximized is 3700px, and when the bug occurs the client width is 3699px or less. That would suggest that this is an issue caused by the client. I can only speculate about what is causing such an intermittent bug -- integer arithmetic instead of floating point when scaled by a non-integer value of x2.5? rounding errors? [plasmashell] [Bug 431481] Keyboard layout is considered state rather than settings on Wayland, so it gets reset when using clean sessions
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=431481 --- Comment #15 from Andrey --- (In reply to Nate Graham from comment #14) > Medin's point that we don't reset sound and brightness for empty sessions > actually points at those needing to be reset too, since those are state and > not settings. That is what I was replying to. Put it differently: all that is backed by KConfig internally (volume, brightness etc.) - are settings and should save regardless of session management. The current layout is different beast - is doesn't need to be saved on every change (the same way you don't probably save Lock keys on every state change or window position on every resize/move) and logically belong to session. So different behavior of these two are intentional. I can agree the difference is subtle and I might be wrong here but at least it's my point currently :) > Should we mark this as RESOLVED INTENTIONAL and re-open Bug 435191? [digikam] [Bug 382645] XMP sidecar file should not contain a packet wrapper
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=382645 Maik Qualmann changed: What|Removed |Added CC||metzping...@gmail.com --- Comment #5 from Maik Qualmann --- If I see that correctly, Exiv2 does not write the "" Header, but Darktable. The option Exiv2::XmpParser::omitPacketWrapper only prevents an XMP packet wrapper from being created, but only in the Exiv2::XmpParser::encode() function. And that's exactly the difference between digiKam and Darktable, we create an Exiv2::Image of the Exiv2::ImageType::xmp type ==> sidecar. We cannot set the Exiv2::XmpParser::omitPacketWrapper at all. Darktable uses Exiv2::XmpParser::encode() to copy the XMP metadata into a string and then write it to a file. I think our Xmp creation is the right way provided by Exiv2. [krita] [Bug 435670] New: Adding two shapes from vector library results in an assert
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=435670 Bug ID: 435670 Summary: Adding two shapes from vector library results in an assert Product: krita Version: nightly build (please specify the git hash!) Platform: Mint (Ubuntu based) OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: crash Priority: NOR Component: Layers/Vector Assignee: krita-bugs-n...@kde.org Reporter: tamtamy.tym...@gmail.com Target Milestone: --- Created attachment 137540 --> https://bugs.kde.org/attachment.cgi?id=137540=edit Crash log for all threads SUMMARY If you add a shape from vector library, and then, without deselecting that shape, you add another one, you'll get a safe assert window, and then a crash/freeze/another assert. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Build Krita with safe assert dialogs on. 2. Drag a shape from a vector library to the canvas (remember that Pepper & carrot shapes are white and will be invisible on white canvas). Do not unselect the shape. 3. Optional: switch to another vector library. 4. Drag another shape on the canvas. OBSERVED RESULT In case of "optional", I get a weird situation when I don't have my X11 hang up, but the safe assert window doesn't react to either Abort or Ignore. If I break it in gdb, I get the crash log as shown below. In case without the optional step, my whole X11 hangs up so I cannot tell what the backtrace is. EXPECTED RESULT No safe asserts. No crashes. No freezes. NOTE On Krita 4.4.3 you already get those safe asserts: SAFE ASSERT (krita): "srcShape->parent() == excludeRoot" in file /home/appimage/workspace/Krita_Release_Appimage_Build/krita/libs/flake/KoShapeManager.cpp, line 512 SAFE ASSERT (krita): "clonedShapes.size() == originalShapes.size()" in file /home/appimage/workspace/Krita_Release_Appimage_Build/krita/libs/flake/KoShapeManager.cpp, line 534 SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Krita: 5766bca3cc (built) Qt Version (compiled): 5.12.9 Version (loaded): 5.12.9 OS Information Build ABI: x86_64-little_endian-lp64 Build CPU: x86_64 CPU: x86_64 Kernel Type: linux Kernel Version: 5.4.0-67-generic Pretty Productname: Linux Mint 20.1 Product Type: linuxmint Product Version: 20.1 Desktop: X-Cinnamon ADDITIONAL INFORMATION Crash log after doing ctrl+C in gdb with the "optional" step: Thread 1 "krita" received signal SIGINT, Interrupt. syscall () at ../sysdeps/unix/sysv/linux/x86_64/syscall.S:38 38 ../sysdeps/unix/sysv/linux/x86_64/syscall.S: Nie ma takiego pliku ani katalogu. [plasmashell] [Bug 431481] Keyboard layout is considered state rather than settings on Wayland, so it gets reset when using clean sessions
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=431481 --- Comment #13 from Andrey --- Medin, this is because the current layout was considered state and not a setting. The setting saves in the moment you change it (usually backed by KConfig object internally). The state saves when session saves, so happens only when you exit the session (and set it to be restored) or save it manually. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
[digikam] [Bug 435660] Strange crashes when previewing .MOV files
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=435660 --- Comment #3 from caulier.gil...@gmail.com --- The trace is just the console output of the program, not the debug trace generated by gdb. Look well in contribute page, in section "Dealing with Crashes in digiKam" Gilles Caulier -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
