I wanted to emphasize the importance of such feature from the security perspective. It's not some hypothetical threat. Recently, I've found out that my Samsung Tablet keyboard maintains a clipboard history (which I didn't asked for) where I was able to find a big list of my passwords (!) which I copied from KeePassXC on the desktop in the past and which KDE Connect had been carefully syncing. The clipboard history feature itself is insane, no doubt, which I've disabled (which wasn't as straightforward as you would expect, it required some hacks with adb (!!)), but less recklessness from KDE Connect is much expected. Still, Samsung keyboard flashes your clipboard content if it's not empty. Who knows which other apps does something nasty with your clipboard. As far as I can see, this feature has already been implemented on Android (which is much appreciated) but not on Linux. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

Committed on 14/09/2021 at 21:46. Pushed by eoinoneill into branch 'master'. Changed compression value of save throttle for timeline zoom. Original intent was to prevent the config saving from slowing down zoom performance. While it worked, 5000MS (5 seconds) of required inactivity made zoom saving unpredictable. A low value (now 100ms) will prevent the configuration writing process from slowing down zoom operation while preserving user settings even after a reboot within 5 seconds of last zoom operation. Product: frameworks-baloo Version: 5.85.0 Platform: Manjaro OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: major Priority: NOR Component: Baloo File Daemon Assignee: baloo-bugs-n...@kde.org Reporter: cantf...@gmail.com Target Milestone: --- SUMMARY I was deleting quite a bit of files from my home folder (not adding anything, not moving anything - deleting with ctrl+shift+del so not even moving to recycle bin). baloo_file process consumed about 50% of a single core, and wrote 20-100 Mega Bytes per second for at least several minutes, reaching a size of index of more than 6GB. OBSERVED RESULT baloo_file process wrote a lot of data, and used up a lot of CPU for a while. Even though balooctl status reported it was idle. [kwin] [Bug 442219] Hotkeys + Window shortcut rules
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=442219 Ismael Asensio changed: What|Removed |Added Component|kcm_kwinrules |rules Product|systemsettings |kwin --- Comment #4 from Ismael Asensio --- I don't know exactly how to triage this bug. What it depicts is true, but it is also kind of intended behavior. The window rules are attached by definition to specific windows, not applications. In case of an activation shortcut rule, it lacks information about the application itself, it just knows the actual window. The shortcut is registered when a window matches a rule, and de-registered after that, so it cannot launch the application itself. This explains why the single letter ("K" in the example) appears as text, as there is no shortcut when that happens. If we wanted some shortcut to show this behavior (cycle focus between open instances of an application, or launch a new instance otherwise) I think a more proper place might be the Icons-Only Task Manager. This sounds to me a lot just how icons for pinned apps work, but I'm not sure as I don't use that workflow. About cycling between open windows matching the rule, this is a valid feature request, but would require some "deep" changes on how the shortcut is handled by kwin. I mean only are visible side's arrows (up and down) and value between is not visible. Widget looks like squashed. Please check attached screenshots. I opened ui files coming from current stable version of smplayer, so 21.8.0 and all spinbox widgets looked fine. I suppose would be enough only rebuild package. BTW. I dependency there is package libqt4-dev and I don't see it in official repository. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Open smplayer 2. Open Option -> Preferences 3. Open General -> Video OBSERVED RESULT Not readable spinbox EXPECTED RESULT spinbox widget should be readable to be able to modify its value SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Linux/KDE Plasma: YES (available in About System) KDE Plasma Version: 5.22.80 KDE Frameworks Version: 5.86.0 Qt Version: 5.15.3 ADDITIONAL INFORMATION -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
