[frameworks-kactivities] [Bug 442499] New: Single window of an application with multiple windows open cannot be dragged from one activity to another
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=442499 Bug ID: 442499 Summary: Single window of an application with multiple windows open cannot be dragged from one activity to another Product: frameworks-kactivities Version: 5.85.0 Platform: Neon Packages OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: general Assignee: ivan.cu...@kde.org Reporter: random1123581...@protonmail.com CC: plasma-b...@kde.org Target Milestone: --- SUMMARY Not sure which product to file this under, so please correct me if I filed it in the wrong place. In the activities panel, apps from the taskbar can normally be dragged into the other activities. However, if multiple windows are grouped under the same icon/title on the taskbar, you cannot move just a single window to the other activity, you can only move all the app's windows at once. For example, when the tooltip on hover is open that shows you the previews of the windows you have open, you cannot drag one single window from that and place it in the activity. That kind-of diminishes the point of being able to drag stuff into different activities, if you can't drag only the window you want and not everything else that's open in the same application. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Create two activities or more, and have a couple of (example: Firefox) windows open in the same app, and have window grouping enabled where all the windows show as a tooltip under the same icon. 2. Open the activities pane (Meta+Q by default) 3. Drag the app icon in the taskbar into the other activity open in the panel, and confirm that it works. 4. Drag just one single window from the hover-tooltip of the panel icon of the app into another activity. It does not work; nothing happens. OBSERVED RESULT A single window of an app cannot be dragged into another activity when the windows are grouped under the same icon EXPECTED RESULT You should be able to drag only one window into a different activity, as you could do when you don't have all the windows grouped under the same icon (example when you have the 'Task Manager' view enabled for the panel (right click near the end of the app list -> Show Alternatives -> 'Task Manager') SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Operating System: KDE neon 5.22 KDE Plasma Version: 5.22.5 KDE Frameworks Version: 5.85.0 Qt Version: 5.15.3 Kernel Version: 5.11.0-34-generic (64-bit) Graphics Platform: X11 -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

I couldn't determine why this behavior is different between windows and linux, but I was able to solve the issue. Basically, when we refresh graph async we want to block frame invalidation temporarily since we will do so later in the method manually if it's necessary. I also noticed we have a few uses of `friend class` here or there that need to eventually be cleaned up. I've made a note of it, and I will handle it once Krita 5 is officially out. [konsole] [Bug 442470] konsole often doesn't restore fully recently opened tabs, especialy with mc
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=442470 Piotr Mierzwinski changed: What|Removed |Added Status|REPORTED|RESOLVED Resolution|--- |NOT A BUG --- Comment #2 from Piotr Mierzwinski --- (In reply to tcanabrava from comment #1) > being frank, I have *no* idea how to do that. > I could potentially ask konsole to restore tabs with opened programs (such > as midnight commander), but then - you would lose all the history of the > apps. Sorry. I don't know if we understood each other. Using Neon Unstable with running konsole and turned on restore session I observed some strange behaviour or new konsole afer it was restored by Plasma. And reported that thing what works well in stable version (21.08.1), stopped to work in unstable (21.11.70). I don't know if the issue is placed in konsole or in restoration of session in new Plasma. As I said it works well in last stable konsole. I don't know if in that version you ask konsole to restore tabs or not, but in Neon Unstable it doesn't work. > I can't ask konsole to save the mc session and reopen just like it was, I > doubt that most terminal applications have this feature. I don't report that konsole dosn't restore mc session, otherwise I would complain that I don't have opened recent directories in both panels of mc. In recent stable version mc is just started (about opened directories takes care mc), if only it is configured as konsole session. And this I expect from new konsole. Yesterday I turned off konsole and started again and opened couple tabs, including those with mc. Today I started my PC and found that all was correctly restored. Logged off, and restarted PC. Logged in. All tabs were restored correctly. Maybe manual closing of konsole and start it again helped or maybe some recent update. Anyway seems konsole now work as I expected, so I close this ticket. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

In a previous version (whatever was before 2021.08.) this wasn't the case. Use Konsole on X11 with the "Remember window size" unchecked. Resize the window to a size different from the initial size set in the profile (in my case 80x24), e.g., 100x50. 2. Minimize the window (either via the task manager in the panel or the minimize button on the window). 3. Restore the window (via the task manager). OBSERVED RESULT The window gets restored and resizes to the default size. While doing that it shows the "Size: 80x25" resize notification. [krita] [Bug 441755] Smudge brushes have buggy interaction with Value option on 16-bit float and above color depths
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=441755 --- Comment #2 from wolthera --- Ok, this is rather tricky. so the problem seems to be with the HSV transform itself. When checking where the color goes wrong, it is normal before the HSV transform is applied, and is completely borked afterwarts, complete with overflow. However, I can't for the life of me figure out why the color smudge is THAT much different than the pixel brush. The pixel brush IS also affected, but it's very minor in comparison. Similarly, the HSV filter seems to work as expected. Turning the compatibility mode on or off does not seem to make a difference. I think this is a clamping issue, but the obvious way to clamp did not work, and it seems the filter already implements clamping in places. My best guess is that it is in fact not the HSV transform, but rather the way we use it inside the color smudge. I already tried having it not read and write to the same paintColor.data(), but that didn't seem to make a difference. Another thing that might be related is the precisepaintdevice wrapper, though, that'd make the bug also appear in 4.4... I am at a loss... -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
