https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=451897 nyanpasu64 changed: What|Removed |Added CC||nyanpas...@tuta.io --- Comment #4 from nyanpasu64 --- I don't think it's the same as Bug 370676 (or at least my bug report closed as a duplicate of Bug 370676). The issue I encountered was, when the lock screen was hidden, pressing Tab caused it to enter an infinite CPU loop and stop responding to all input (even moving mouse and keystrokes). Since in this bug, you can still move the mouse, the cursor changes based on mouse position, and you can type the password, this sounds like a rendering error (possibly a variation of Bug 450301). -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=452024 --- Comment #6 from mrbee --- That was quick, thanks heaps for that Thomas. Just tried out a clean nightly 1471-windows install and I can see the drop down QIF export profile option in the CSV Importer. Unfortunately it's empty and I cannot select a profile. Tried to create a new one but still cannot see or choose anything. The exported QIF file is now DD.MM. and it always seems to be this way no matter what date format I put into the default profile. [Qt/KDE Flatpak Runtime] [Bug 452132] New: Qt/KDE applications not accessible with the Orca screen reader.
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=452132 Bug ID: 452132 Summary: Qt/KDE applications not accessible with the Orca screen reader. Product: Qt/KDE Flatpak Runtime Version: unspecified Platform: Flatpak OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: general Assignee: aleix...@kde.org Reporter: them...@themuso.com CC: aa...@kde.org Target Milestone: --- SUMMARY I am unable to navigate Qt and KDE apps running as a flatpak using the Orca screen reader in a GNOME desktop session. I have not tested this when running under a KDE desktop session. However if I run the flatpak from a terminal with the command-line arguments --no-a11y-bus --talk-name=org.a11y.Bus, then the app is accessible with Orca. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Log into a GNOME session (I am using GNOME 41 on Fedora 35). 2. Enable Orca. This can be done with the Alt + Super + S shortcut key. (Make sure you have working audio to hear spoken text) 3. Install a Qt/KDE app from flathub, as above, org.kde.dolphin is a good test candidate here. 4. Either load dolphin from the activities overview, or run "flatpak run --user org.kde.dolphin" in a terminal. OBSERVED RESULT Dolphin loads, but when navigating the app with the keyboard, you do not hear any spoken text from Orca. EXPECTED RESULT Orca should read the files and folders that you navigate to with the keyboard. SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Linux/KDE Plasma: Linux 5.16.18-200.fc35.x86_64, GNOME 41, latest version of org.kde.Platform 5.15-21.08 from flathub. KDE Plasma Version: KDE Frameworks Version: 5.15-21.08 Qt Version: 5.15 ADDITIONAL INFORMATION A workaround is to run "flatpak run --user --no-a11y-bus --talk-name=org.a11y.Bus org.kde.dolphin" in a terminal. Doing this, Orca should read the files and folders that you navigate to with the keyboard. I suspect the problematic commit is 7800017d67f93f7e93f7294b91a1048cf933a39f from https://invent.kde.org/qt/qt/qtbase.git. It should also be noted that running a GTK 4 app like org.gnome.TextEditor works fine without any tweaking. When expanding some updates, updates further down partially expand to show where the update is from (though such an expansion is not possible by user input). When scrolling back up after manually expanded updates have been out of view, they are sometimes no longer expanded. Clicking updates to expand or hide their details shows both release notes, state, vendor and repository at the bottom, however, updates partially expanded by this bug only show the repository. This appears to occur on both X11 and the Wayland session. I am using Arch Linux (packagekit-qt5). STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Have a large number of updates available (>40 or so). 2. Open the updates view. 3. Expand several updates at the top, scroll down and scroll up. OBSERVED RESULT Certain updates's details are partially expanded with no discernible pattern, and expanded updates unexpand themselves. [systemsettings] [Bug 452120] For color-scheme-aware Plasma themes, allow selecting in the KCM which color scheme will be used.
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=452120 --- Comment #2 from WS --- >the UI would have to diverge between themes that supported being recolored and >themes which don't. ... I don't really think that's a problem per se? I mean, first that is already the case, isn't it? Themes that follow the Color Scheme behave exactly like I say, and they have a Icon to indicate they follow the Color Scheme. In this case it would be the opposite, Styles that have a Color file would show a icon to indicate they were bundled with one. Second: Styles could still bundle color files with themselves, as it has a utility for third party styles, but the user could force it to be ignored. If I force Breeze Light (Style) to use the Breeze Dark (Scheme) it would accomplish the same as if I used Breeze(Style) with Breeze Dark(Scheme) rather than the light variant. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

Indeed, when I installed via flatpak, it works out of the box, the Firefox certificate store is recognized and listed under PDF Backend config. (Minor detail, in flatpak I have 21.12.3, whereas in snap I had 21.12.1). The difference I see is in the default certificate folder: - for flatpak: /home/user/.mozilla/firefox/abcd.default - for snap: /home/user/snap/okular/112/.pki/nssdb (which does not exist) In any case, I tried setting in the snap version the "custom folder" to /home/user/.mozilla/firefox/abcd.default and it still does not recognize any certificate. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

[kwin] [Bug 435114] redraw glitches over whole desktop with effects on
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=435114 --- Comment #7 from Holger --- Created attachment 147870 --> https://bugs.kde.org/attachment.cgi?id=147870=edit Screenshot of "transparent" thunderbird Today, I managed a screenshot of Thunderbird. It features a "transparent" area showing the background. And the menubar is moved off it's top position to the middle of the window. It happens on resizing the Thunderbird from windowed to maximized and back. The tranparancy is "true" - moving Thunderbird to a different location, will paint any underlying windows inside Thunderbird. On mouse over of Thunderbird elements, they get redrawn to their supposed location one by one. Workarounds: - Either minimize and restore the window - or drag the border to resize the window - switch Desktop - disable/enable effects by Shift+Alt+F12 Any will immediately fix all drawing issues unless the window is maximized and restored again. The Plasma effect of quickly stretching the window content without explicit redrawing the contents is NOT in use. The Plasma effect of transparent see-through on moving the window is in use. But turning it off, has no impact on this bug. If Plasma-effects are globally off, the former transparent area will be solid black. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

[i18n] [Bug 452128] New: Elements displayed in the wrong language after changing language during install
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=452128 Bug ID: 452128 Summary: Elements displayed in the wrong language after changing language during install Product: i18n Version: unspecified Platform: Manjaro OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: minor Priority: NOR Component: de Assignee: kde-i18n...@kde.org Reporter: fischer.ti...@googlemail.com Target Milestone: --- Created attachment 147869 --> https://bugs.kde.org/attachment.cgi?id=147869=edit Both instances of the wrong language (install on the left, lock screen on the right) Some elements are being displayed in the wrong language for me during and after the Manjaro KDE Plasma setup (see screenshot). They are displayed in German despite the chosen OS language being English. One of the elements displayed wrongly is the the date and time in the lock screen. The other is part of the installation process (is that a KDE thing or a separate issue?). There are two explanations I can think of with a reasonable probability: - During install, the installer (rightly in my case) defaulted to German. I switched it to English. Perhaps some things were accidentally kept out of the language change? - I only switched my OS language. I kept keyboard layout, timezone etc as German(y). Perhaps, those things are shown in German based on those settings? Strangely, for the image on the left, the first explanation would seem more likely, but for the one on the right, I'd favor the second explanation. I tried changing time zones to see what happens and the option that was displayed for Germany was written with an English example, and it also said "English (Germany)". However, changing the format to that (hitting "apply", of course) and restarting does not fix the issue. The language for the date is still German. In my case, the issue is minor, but if it also appears for locations where different alphabets are used, that might be a problem. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Have the setup default to German (I'm guessing you can make that happen using a VM?) 2. Change OS language to English, but keep date formats etc German (keyboard layout can probably be changed so you can use the OS?) 3. (change time zone to "English (Germany)" and re-log / reboot to give the change the chance to take effect) OBSERVED RESULT One line during setup and the lockscreen date will be displayed in German despite the OS language being English. EXPECTED RESULT If the system language is changed, every part of the OS should default to that language - particularly during the installation process. Had I tried to install my OS in Korea, I would have had no idea what that line said. The date is just an inconvenience, but given how often that screen is seen, it's a very prominent one. Committed on 31/03/2022 at 21:57. Pushed by habacker into branch '8.1'. Added support for using QtNetwork to download online quotes To enable the mentioned support, a new cmake variable BUILD_WITH_QTNETWORK has been added. When the mentioned cmake variable is set to 1 or ON, which is default on Windows, AlkOnlineQuotes::launchNative() uses Qt network support for downloading data. If it is set to 0 or OFF, the KIO library support is used, which is the default on non Windows platforms. The advantage of using Qt network support is less dependency on 3rd party components, thus less error-proneness and higher speed on Windows. Right now Plasma themes can have embedded color schemes. We could make this change for Breeze, but 3rd-party Plasma themes could and would still have hardcoded colors. So we can't stop that support entirely, which means that the UI would have to diverge between themes that supported being recolored and themes which don't. ...Which we could do, but it's something that would have to be kept in mind. If I could go back and wave a magic wand, I'd redo theming to be like how you're proposing, but sadly no such magic wand exists. :) -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

[konsole] [Bug 452126] New: Lack "Shell integration" which enables advanced features.
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=452126 Bug ID: 452126 Summary: Lack "Shell integration" which enables advanced features. Product: konsole Version: unspecified Platform: Other OS: Other Status: REPORTED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: general Assignee: konsole-de...@kde.org Reporter: shenlebantongy...@gmail.com Target Milestone: --- SUMMARY konsole lacks a new type of terminal functionality called "Shell integration". OBSERVED RESULT The shell inside the terminal emulator is just a stream of chars, the emulator cannot know what is happening semantically. "Shell integration" is to gain extra insight into the strings within the terminal. It can enable a lot of previously unimplementable features, and there are a lot. Please see the links below for more details. EXPECTED RESULT: Some kind of framework or API or examples to implement them strategically. These 3 features probably are the easiest and pretty useful. They can be shipped as a "starter" if the shell integration is ever going to happen. + Command history in sidebar + Recent Directories in sidebar (when click => do a `cd` ) + Jump between promotes (jumping through the scrollback to the start of an earlier command) + Select all output of the last command LINKS: ** iterm2 open-source macOS software, but maybe the first that come up with this idea https://iterm2.com/documentation-shell-integration.html ** wezterm https://wezfurlong.org/wezterm/shell-integration.html ** Kitty https://sw.kovidgoyal.net/kitty/shell-integration/ ** vscode https://code.visualstudio.com/docs/editor/integrated-terminal#_shell-integration ** intellij idea (can only do history recording now, ) https://web.archive.org/web/20220218091836/https://www.jetbrains.com/help/idea/terminal-emulator.html#d5264a0e -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
[kdevelop] [Bug 452125] New: Specifying LLVM_DIR causes Clang not to be found.
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=452125 Bug ID: 452125 Summary: Specifying LLVM_DIR causes Clang not to be found. Product: kdevelop Version: git master Platform: Other OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: Build tools: CMake Assignee: kdevelop-bugs-n...@kde.org Reporter: bunge...@gmail.com Target Milestone: --- SUMMARY I am on a system where clang-12 is the default but wish to build KDevelop against clang-13. I can install clang-13 and its dev packages, and set `cmake-options -DLLVM_DIR=/usr/lib/llvm-13` in my `~/.kdesrc-buildrc`. This allows llvm-13 to be found, but the cmake build steps fail to find the clang-13 libraries. The issue appears to be that in `cmake/modules/FindClang.cmake` if `LLVM_DIR` is set `find_package(LLVM ${version})` is not executed at all, which means that none of its side effects are made available (like setting (LLVM_FOUND, LLVM_LIBRARY_DIRS, etc). Simply removing `LLVM_DIR OR ` from this file allows the correct clang-13 libraries to be found and the build succeeds. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Set `cmake-options -DLLVM_DIR=/usr/lib/llvm-13` in `~/.kdesrc-buildrc`, or otherwise get LLVM_DIR to CMake. 2. Run CMake. OBSERVED RESULT CMake finds LLVM fine, but then fails to find Clang libraries. EXPECTED RESULT CMake should find the Clang libraries. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
