[Breeze] [Bug 452716] New: Firefox window with browser.tabs.inTitlebar = 1 displays shadows even with "Shadows → Size → None"
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=452716 Bug ID: 452716 Summary: Firefox window with browser.tabs.inTitlebar = 1 displays shadows even with "Shadows → Size → None" Product: Breeze Version: 5.24.4 Platform: Other OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: window decoration Assignee: plasma-b...@kde.org Reporter: tustam...@yahoo.com.br CC: kwin-bugs-n...@kde.org Target Milestone: --- SUMMARY In Window Decorations, I use Breeze with disabled shadows (Shadows → Size → None). But I noticed Firefox is still displaying shadows. I'm sure it wasn't until a few days ago. I strongly suspect this is a regression in Plasma 5.24.4, because it was installed 3 days ago. The better I could track down the issue was to find out the issue is related to Firefox preference browser.tabs.inTitlebar = 1 (in about:config). That preference makes Firefox window to not display titlebar, with buttons like minimize/close being attached next to tab bar. If you change the value to 0 or 2, titlebar is displayed and then window shadows disappear. This is not a Firefox bug, the issue is reproducible with any version. And as I said, this is a regression, it wasn't that way until recently. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Disable window shadows in Breeze settings (Window Decorations, edit Breeze, Shadows → Size = None). 2. Open Firefox. 3. Right-click any point over navigation toolbar except address bar and click "Customize toolbar...". 3. On lower left, uncheck "Title Bar" (this is the same as setting browser.tabs.inTitlebar = 1 in about:config). OBSERVED RESULT Firefox window has shadows. EXPECTED RESULT Firefox window shouldn't have any shadow. [kdeconnect] [Bug 452710] New: Transfers of images, 1 or more, silently fails, or just halts forever.
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=452710 Bug ID: 452710 Summary: Transfers of images, 1 or more, silently fails, or just halts forever. Product: kdeconnect Version: unspecified Platform: Android OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: android-application Assignee: albertv...@gmail.com Reporter: jagg...@gmail.com Target Milestone: --- The halting has been an issue I've experienced with kdeconnect going back as far as I can remember. It's as if a timeout or retry is not handled properly. Actually it seems like two issues now: 1. Some transfer failure results in the Android and Linux side sitting there in a transfer -- never progressing, and on the Android side never ending (notification just stays there, at some count through, saying "Sending 10 {or whatever} files to..."). Once failed, it usually won't let me get any other transfers to start. 1a. This usually and frequently happens with "large" numbers of files. 10 isn't very large, but right now my 10 is sitting there halted also. 2. Last week, with another linux box, I couldn't get a single file to transfer, and no notifications would pop up on the linux end. Currently on android (OnePlus 6, OxygenOS), with kdeconnect 1.19.1. Linux side is Debian Stable with kdeconnect package version: 20.12.3-2 (I could find some other bug reports with a crashing linux side, it seems, but not this silent failure.) STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Go to photos, select one or more 2. Share -> KDE connect -> {system name} or one of the Share items with "KDE connect {System name}" as a single option. 3. Wait for transfer to just stop somewhere and not progress. OBSERVED RESULT 1. Transfer either doesn't start, or just hangs at some file count. EXPECTED RESULT 1. Failed transfers should definitely time out, or preferably retry until they succeed, with a longer timeout if it never works (and a notification showing the last fully-completed file transferred). SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Linux/KDE Plasma: 5.20.5 KDE Plasma Version: 5.20.5 KDE Frameworks Version: 5.10.0-13-amd64 Qt Version: 5.15.2 ADDITIONAL INFORMATION Using the file-transfer module from the PC, accessing the android filesystem -> DCIM, and transferring, seems to work consistently, without timeouts or hangs. Thank you for kdeconnect. :) -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

[kdeconnect] [Bug 452708] New: Option to pull accent color from Android 13
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=452708 Bug ID: 452708 Summary: Option to pull accent color from Android 13 Product: kdeconnect Version: unspecified Platform: unspecified OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: wishlist Priority: NOR Component: android-application Assignee: albertv...@gmail.com Reporter: marioman1203...@gmail.com Target Milestone: --- With Android 13's introduction of Material You and customizable accent colors, I would like to see a way to use KDE Connect to sync said accent color from Android to Plasma. IE, my current accent color on Android is #EADDFF, and I'd want KDE Connect to set my Plasma accent color to the same value. When I change the accent on my phone, I'd like it to reflect in KDE as well. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Cut one or more files by pressing Ctrl + X, or right clicking and selecting Cut 2. Paste the files with into a directory on a partition that is different from the files that were moved. OBSERVED RESULT The plasmashell process continuously consumes more memory, and takes more CPU until the dolphin window is closed. The leaked memory is not returned even after the window is closed. The CPU usage returns back to normal after the window is closed. EXPECTED RESULT There should be no additional memory or CPU usage after a file is done moving. The file contained a set of five embedded reference images, some with alpha channels. There were no animation frames. I switched to the freehand selection tool and started to draw a selection, and Krita abruptly crashed. I was nowhere near any sort of RAM limit at this point. Fortunately thanks to frequent autosaves, minimal progress was lost. This is not the first time a similar crash has happened recently. The crash comes unpredictably and is difficult to reproduce. https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=452074 Ahmad Samir changed: What|Removed |Added CC||a.samir...@gmail.com --- Comment #6 from Ahmad Samir --- AFAIK, there is nothing in KIO code that would run ldconfig at all; so my suspicion is that since it's ldconfig and fdatasync() that there were system updates being installed in the background while the copying was being done, shared-mime-info runs fdatasync as part of its installation steps, see: https://gitlab.freedesktop.org/xdg/shared-mime-info/-/commit/1f7683bfcbecbeffa802a1c361e1842db2fff4f8 ; so that dev's experiment results were skewed by that, I think. I don't know much about Btrfs, but that is just another data point. Note that if the files being deleted are on a partition other than /home/, it could be that trashing them is moving them to /home//.local/share/Trash; but of course that doesn't explain why deleting a single text file would be slow -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
