[konsole] [Bug 458858] New: "Open File Manager" does not work as expected when using tmux
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=458858 Bug ID: 458858 Summary: "Open File Manager" does not work as expected when using tmux Product: konsole Version: 22.04.1 Platform: Debian testing OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: general Assignee: konsole-de...@kde.org Reporter: feder...@kircheis.it Target Milestone: --- SUMMARY When using tmux (https://github.com/tmux/tmux) as login shell, the "Open File Manager" does not open the directory the current shell is, but the directory where tmux has been executed STEPS TO REPRODUCE 0. Create a profile with /usr/bin/tmux as login shell (optional) 1. Open tmux (either through the nex profile, or by executing tmux directly 2. cd in another folder, like "cd /tmp" 3. click on "File", then "Open File manager" OBSERVED RESULT The file manager opens in the home directory (or the directory where tmux has been executed) EXPECTED RESULT File manager should open in /tmp, also because echo $PWD return "/tmp" With midnight commander (mc, https://midnight-commander.org/), when $PWD changes, "Open File manager" opens the file manager in the current directory, not where mc has been executed. https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=452616 --- Comment #17 from Dennis H. --- Ok, as promised I recompiled Kmymoney with the patch mentioned above. Now the real Payee is integrated into the memo field. So it's one step forward. After that I tried to extract the payee out of the memo using the corresponding function. Unfortunately this does not seem to have any effect. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
[plasmashell] [Bug 458852] New: Plasmashell crashes on KDE desktop start in X11 and cannot be fixed
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=458852 Bug ID: 458852 Summary: Plasmashell crashes on KDE desktop start in X11 and cannot be fixed Product: plasmashell Version: 5.24.6 Platform: Ubuntu Packages OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Keywords: drkonqi Severity: crash Priority: NOR Component: general Assignee: plasma-b...@kde.org Reporter: pmuhl1...@gmail.com CC: k...@davidedmundson.co.uk Target Milestone: 1.0 Application: plasmashell (5.24.6) Qt Version: 5.15.3 Frameworks Version: 5.92.0 Operating System: Linux 5.15.0-47-generic x86_64 Windowing System: X11 Distribution: Ubuntu 22.04.1 LTS DrKonqi: 5.24.5 [KCrashBackend] -- Information about the crash: Please note: I'd be willing to try to recreate the bug with debug symbols, but I just cannot find the debug packages for the list of files mentioned by this crash handler. - What I was doing when the application crashed: Just before the crash recorded here, I was using Gnome, switched user, and tried to start KDE desktop. It comes up and opens applications, but the background is black and the panels are missing. More generally, after a system reboot a couple days ago, every time I go into KDE I see what I'm seeing now--no panels, black background. I don't typically get asked to do a bug report. - Unusual behavior I noticed: I upgraded to 22.04 a couple weeks ago from 20.04, where I had no problems with KDE panels. In 22.04, I noticed the panels were unstable. They and the background would disappear after suspend or sometimes while I was using the desktop. I used 'kstart5 plasmashell' to resume the panels and background, which worked. I am using X11. But a few days ago, I rebooted to find that the panels and background were missing, which had not happened before. When I tried to use variations of 'kquitapp5 plasmashell && kstart5 plasmashell' to activate the panels and background to no effect. Multiple reboots made no difference. I reinstalled all the software related to plasma I could find, also to no effect. I did upgrade a couple packages before the reboot after which KDE stopped functioning properly. I could be wrong, but I think those packages were: kde-config-sddm and bluedevil. - Custom settings of the application: I moved the panels around, resized them, and added a few widgets (weather widget, widget to show all open windows, widget to minimize all). Besides the weather widget, I don't think I'm using anything besides what I normally have for years. The weather widget worked for a number of days before my KDE stopped functioning properly. The crash can be reproduced every time. -- Backtrace: Application: Plasma (plasmashell), signal: Segmentation fault [KCrash Handler] #4 0x7f3ba65b2074 in Plasma::Applet::immutability() const () from /lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/libKF5Plasma.so.5 #5 0x7f3ba65b214d in Plasma::Applet::destroy() () from /lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/libKF5Plasma.so.5 #6 0x7f3b9cc2df29 in ?? [digikam] [Bug 458850] New: not valid createdate
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=458850 Bug ID: 458850 Summary: not valid createdate Product: digikam Version: unspecified Platform: Other OS: Other Status: REPORTED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: Plugin-Generic-TimeAdjust Assignee: digikam-bugs-n...@kde.org Reporter: erik.lind...@pm.me Target Milestone: --- Created attachment 151906 --> https://bugs.kde.org/attachment.cgi?id=151906=edit Sample photo with invalid date stamp SUMMARY I have some photos (see example attached) that appear to have an invalid EXIF CreateDate and/or DateTimeOriginal. Under Metadata > ExifTool I see values like "06.25.2009 17:53". However, the date shown in the captions tab is "1/5/2014 19:10:48" and seems to come from the file metadata. I tried to use the adjust date & time tool, but all the timestamp options show as not valid, and there is no way to fix this in Digikam. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. View file metadata dates and compare to caption date 2. Open Adjust date and time tool 3. Timestamp used column always shows "not valid" no matter which timestamp you use OBSERVED RESULT EXIF CreateDate and caption date are different, and there is no way to correct it automatically EXPECTED RESULT Digikam should be able to correct for invalid date formats, either through a separate tool, or adding some settings in in the adjust date and time tool to tell it what format the dates are in. [kwin] [Bug 431446] Blinking panels and window contents not refreshing
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=431446 --- Comment #37 from Eduardo --- Created attachment 151905 --> https://bugs.kde.org/attachment.cgi?id=151905=edit FF won't update its contents Plasma 5.25.5 For a long time I did not encounter this bug, but now it's back again... Here is my situation. Since the bug was so annoying and prevented my work to be done, I had reset all plasma to defaults and somehow I did not encounter the bug for some time. In addition to this, for some time MESA changed the driver from i965 to iris, at first I thought that this is what helped to get rid of the bug for the most part, but now I'm not sure anymore... And I'm not sure about this, because after I updated to plasma 5.25.5, I enabled a nice feature I liked - Translucency, specifically the defaults, i.e. when moving windows, they become transparent. Soon after that I got the bug reappear, Firefox won't update its contents... The weird part is that disabling and enabling composition does NOT get the contents back as it was before! I have to restart the application... Is this really related to transparency things... I'll disable the effect will report back whether the issue reappears. The attachment shows that: 1. contents are not updated 2. even new windows of the same application (FF) inherits the same buggy behaviour 3. disabling / enabling composite won't get rid of the bug -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
