[gwenview] [Bug 460314] Not work drag and drop to Telegram (flatpack)
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=460314 Aleksandr Beliaev changed: What|Removed |Added CC||trap0...@gmail.com --- Comment #1 from Aleksandr Beliaev --- I can confirm the bug is not related to flatpak. I've got gwenview and telegram-desktop both installed from official Arch repos: community/telegram-desktop 4.2.4-1 [installed] extra/gwenview 22.08.2-1 (kde-applications kde-graphics) [installed] ...and see exactly the same symptoms - only the first image is dropped to Telegram. P.S. Some more observations: sequential images are copied OK if I use Copy-Paste menus i.e click RMB->Copy in Gwenview then RMB->Paste in Telegram window, or drag'n'drop image from gwenview to other application (GIMP), or drag'n'drop image from other viewer (e.g. DigiKam) to Telegram. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

[plasmashell] [Bug 460454] New: Applications change displays after resuming from sleep.
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=460454 Bug ID: 460454 Summary: Applications change displays after resuming from sleep. Classification: Plasma Product: plasmashell Version: master Platform: Other OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: general Assignee: plasma-b...@kde.org Reporter: linuxguy...@gmail.com CC: k...@davidedmundson.co.uk Target Milestone: 1.0 SUMMARY Applications change displays after resuming from sleep. I'm running 2 monitors on F36. I work on my main monitor. I run Firefox and Okular on my side monitor for viewing media and documents while I am working. Everything works fine until the computer goes into sleep mode. After it does, the applications that were in the side monitor are now full screen on the main monitor. Every time my computer comes out of sleep I have to move all the applications that were in the side monitor from the main display to the side display. It is a real pain in the butt. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Start a KDE session. 2. Open several apps and place them in the side monitor. 3. Let the computer go to sleep. 4. Bring the computer out of sleep. OBSERVED RESULT The applications that were in the side monitor are now in the main monitor. Usually full screen or extremely large, ie they kept their relative size from the small side display. EXPECTED RESULT Applications should be in the monitor/display that they were in before the sleep event. For whatever reason it won't do this if I select Start -> Sleep and then bring it back out of sleep. Must be time related or something. If I walk away from my computer for 10 minutes or so it does it. It does this on multiple machines, with Nvidia and AMD Radeon video cards. [digikam] [Bug 460439] Keep tag, but delete face information
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=460439 --- Comment #3 from Jens --- OK, maybe this wasn't entirely clear. I know about "Ignored" - this is for people I do NOT want to tag, at all. But what about images where the face detection found "somebody", and I want to tag this image, but NOT use this face to train the recognition image - maybe because it's blurred, or half obscured, or the person wears a mask? Currently I use non-face tags to do this, but it's suboptimal. Reason: I found that tagging only a few bad images can make face detection performance significantly worse. Of course, in a perfect world, the image recognition engine should not be so easily confused, but being able to tag faces without Digikam using this face for training may also help. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

[plasmashell] [Bug 460440] Black background and missing context menu on the desktop in multiscreen configuration
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=460440 --- Comment #4 from Luca Carlon --- I read the bugreport you linked. Are you sure this is really a duplicate of that? In that report I read: "Wallpaper/tablet settings are restored to default". One thing is losing some custom configuration, one other thing is a malfunctioning system, missing background and missing context menu that can only be fixed by rebooting or restarting plasmashell. Please note that I did not read the entire thread, I'm just asking for a confirmation. I recall manually deleting the 'enabled: visible' line when I was still on Kubuntu 20.04. [plasmashell] [Bug 460085] Plasmashell constantly uses ~20% of my CPU (and GPU?) and significantly tanks game performance
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=460085 --- Comment #6 from Firlaev-Hans --- Okay, I did some investigation, this is the weirdest thing ever. It is apparently wallpaper related. Since, in Bug 460248, Patrick Silva said they couldn't reproduce this on a fresh account, I tried removing stuff from plasmashellrc and the plasma*appletsrc until the problem went away. I determined that resetting the wallpaper for my second monitor "fixed" the issue. The issue would only occur if my *second* monitor's wallpaper was an AVIF image (which it previously was). Using PNG or JPG, CPU usage was normal. Oddly enough, setting the same AVIF wallpaper on my primary monitor did not cause the issue. Half an hour later the two displays seemingly "switched roles", now only the first monitor would cause the issue when using an AVIF wallpaper on it, and the second one didn't. I'm not sure what caused that. In any case, as long as I'm not using AVIF wallpapers at all, I guess I'm safe(?) -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

[plasmashell] [Bug 351175] Panel on screen edge between two monitors does not auto hide
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=351175 --- Comment #43 from Rafael Linux User --- I will never really understand the prioritisation in KDE. This bug is a problem that has been unresolved for too many years now and it affects productivity and is a headache for all users who use two or more monitors. Plasma has always been my desktop of choice because of its flexibility, but this kind of unresolved bug that appeared years ago after "KDE desktop" was renamed to "Plasma", implies a very important loss of customisation for those of us who use Plasma for work - at least in my case - and who need to have a comfortable and customisable desktop to work effectively. If the criterion for assigning priority is the number of bug reports found, someone should know that many, many users do not have the time or patience to document the bugs they find in applications and simply do not report the problem or think they are doing something wrong and do not try again. That is the reality. Sorry to complain (again) about this, but I think that fixing Plasma issues with features that used to work and suddenly stopped working should be prioritized and not left for years in the "minor unfinished business" drawer. Thanks for reading me -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

[plasmashell] [Bug 460096] On a desktop machine, "Power Management" applet is named "Battery and Brightness" in System Tray settings
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=460096 Nate Graham changed: What|Removed |Added Status|CONFIRMED |RESOLVED Resolution|--- |INTENTIONAL --- Comment #9 from Nate Graham --- In fact I'm not sure we can; the name shown in the popup dynamically changes in the plasmoid's code, but the name shown in the settings window is taken from its JSON metadata, which is unchanging. I can think of a few options: 1. Don't ever change the plasmoid's name. Downside: lose name changing feature in System Tray 2. Have the settings window get the name from the plasmoid not its metadata. Downside: name still wrong everywhere else (widget explorer, Krunner, Discover, etc) 3. Allow the JSON metadata name to change using the same logic as in the applet. Probably technically impossible.
