It includes fonts, translation package for office etc. AFAIK, no other distros provides this kind of packages. If the "login" (e-mail address) entered in SMTP (Sending) configuration contains uppercase characters, the look-up in KWallet to find the key/value pair to retrieve the existing oauth token will fail, as it's always stored all lowercase inside the wallet. Thus, every time you attempt to send an e-mail, you will always be redirected to Google to authorize a new token, as your system doesn't think you yet have one. Ironically, the previous token will be successfully overwritten by the new one. Receiving e-mails seems to be unaffected by case mismatch (configuration vs. wallet). I suggest the issue is some degree more of a bug than user misconfiguration, as the "Add Account" wizard asks for your e-mail address (which you may supply as f...@gmail.com, for example, noting the capital "F") and it'll proceed to automate setup for you seemingly without compliant, despite then experiencing this issue. I assume being able to enter capital letters isn't the core issue, either. The solution may be more closely attached to how KMail, Akonadi, and Wallet are spec'ed to interact. As a sidenote, I tried adding the same G-mail account to my client multiple times in various casing (co-existing), and started to have some strange effects that should likely be it's own issue if found warranted after further review. STEPS TO REPRODUCE == 1. XOAUTH2 with a SMTP configuration containing an uppercase character in the login (manual setup or Add Account wizard). 2. Try to send an e-mail. 3. Notice redirection to Google to authorize a new token on every send, even if you already have one. OBSERVED RESULT Doesn't fetch token from Wallet seemingly due to case mismatch. EXPECTED RESULT === Retrieve existing token from Wallet. SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS = Linux/KDE Plasma: 6.1.9-arch1-1 KDE Plasma Version: 5.26.5 KDE Frameworks Version: 5.102.0 Qt Version: 5.15.8 ADDITIONAL COMMENTARY === I'm extremely new to enjoying KDE, so my observations on the issue are best novice effort. I never saw any warning and en_US wasn't in my language list on Fedora. It's simply not good UX and KDE seems the broken one when English is the same language with minute spelling differences. You reached the failure state OBSERVED RESULT The screen is white or flickering between white and rendering the lock screen. Login works. Typing in kwin_x11 --replace sometimes works and then the system can be used again. Most of the times the system does not recover and a reboot is required. I used KDE Connect to unlock and execute kwin_x11 --replace also. This sometimes also works as a work arround. EXPECTED RESULT Rendering the lock screen normally and resume the system in a usable state. The issue of getting all albums into 1 artist's collection can be accomplished by editing the file's metadata, however there does not appear to be a way to delete the duplicated entries, ie. I change the metadata from band name AC/DC to ACDC and I now have the same album appearing under 2 artists. This could be caused by having both names names appearing somewhere in the list of tags of the various files but in the case of the album High Voltage I have checked every file's tags 1 & 2 and that is not the case. I have reset database and rescanned everything repeatedly. *** STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. need to collect several ACDC albums and run Elisa 2. 3. OBSERVED RESULT As discussed above and shown in the 2 attachments EXPECTED RESULT That when metadata is changed, it is reflected in the output of Elisa and the incorrect or old data is purged. However, for apps that can't be configured, clicking that will still open up a "Configure Notifications" window that is empty and that can't be interacted with. In the applications notifications settings these apps show the message "This application does not support configuring notifications on a per-event basis.". STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Trigger a notification for an app that can't be configured through plasma, e.g. Spotify 2. Click the "configure" button OBSERVED RESULT A window for configuring the notifications opens, but can't be used (see attachment), along with the notifications system settings module.
