Forgot to mention that behavior, I believe the first ledger tab get rendered even if we go straight to another account(ie from the home page), which I guess is fine if really quick, but not quite necessary. [kmymoney] [Bug 468108] ledger freeze on large account
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=468108 --- Comment #19 from Jack --- I just reconciled an account, and had the full delay when opening the account in the ledger, when starting the reconcile wizard, when hitting "Continue" on the last page of the wizard, and yet again when I hit "Finish." In the second and fourth cases, there is a delay before the pop-up window is displayed, and a further delay before that window is actually populated with its content. I agree with the findings in Comment #17 with some additional notes. If I hit "Ctl-R" to remove display of reconciled transactions, the immediate effect is just to remove the transactions, but a few seconds later, all except the last Reconciled header also disappear. In addition, closing and then opening the file in this state shows the delay when first displaying the ledger. If anyone wants it, I have a small (41K) sample xml file with one account, 60 transactions, 120 splits, and 21 reconciliations. The delay is only a few seconds, but it's clearly different from the near instant display when all reconciliation headers are not displayed. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

[Elisa] [Bug 468407] New: [Feature request] Library view and playlist manager
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=468407 Bug ID: 468407 Summary: [Feature request] Library view and playlist manager Classification: Applications Product: Elisa Version: unspecified Platform: Archlinux OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: wishlist Priority: NOR Component: general Assignee: matthieu_gall...@yahoo.fr Reporter: celi...@runbox.com Target Milestone: --- Created attachment 158025 --> https://bugs.kde.org/attachment.cgi?id=158025=edit This is just a sketch of how it could look like Elisa is a great audio player and I want to thank all KDE creators who are involved in the Elisa project. Party mode is such a great idea. I still use Elisa not as often as would like to. I have a large music library with a lot of files. Sorting my library by Albums, Artists, Tracks or Genres is not a feasible solution. The only way to navigate my library with ease is a directory view. As of now, Elisa comes with a Files view. With Elisa’s Files view, I see two problems: – The Files view always starts in the root directory; consequently, I would have to navigate to my music directory every time I restart Elisa. – The symbols in Files view are way too large. I would prefer a file tree, similar to Dolphin. In my specific user case I would need an environment as shown in the (maniuplated) screenshot attached to this feature request. On the left side, you see the directory browser for my music library. On the right side, you see the playlist; in the top bar of the playlist, you see a horizontal playlist manager with different playlists. There are only two columns needed: one for the file tree directory view and one for the playlist (with the playlist manager on top). I firmly believe that many users would benefit from the option of this particular view. This is inspired by my DeaDBeeF and my foobar2000 setup. To summarize my ideas: – Add a directory view library with a file tree; get rid of the large directory symbols. – The directory view should always start in my music directory, not in the root directory. – Add a horizontal playlist manager. – Reduce the number of columns from three to two whenever the requested directory tree view is enabled. Elisa could easily be the most beloved audio player in the Linux world. But as of now, the use case is rather limited because the directory view (File view) is lacking essential features. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
