[digikam] [Bug 472092] New: Request "Ignore All" for Images with Many Persons
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=472092 Bug ID: 472092 Summary: Request "Ignore All" for Images with Many Persons Classification: Applications Product: digikam Version: 8.1.0 Platform: Other OS: Microsoft Windows Status: REPORTED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: Faces-Detection Assignee: digikam-bugs-n...@kde.org Reporter: stewart.bod...@usa.net Target Milestone: --- I have been doing face detection on many images with large groups of persons. In most cases, only a small minority of the persons are tagged with face names. Instead of having to click many times to "Ignore" all the other faces, it would be a real productivity improvement to have the option to accept an Ignored status for all remaining non-named faces in the image. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

[digikam] [Bug 472091] New: Tag Tree Ignored with Item->ReRead Metadata from File
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=472091 Bug ID: 472091 Summary: Tag Tree Ignored with Item->ReRead Metadata from File Classification: Applications Product: digikam Version: 8.1.0 Platform: Microsoft Windows OS: Microsoft Windows Status: REPORTED Severity: major Priority: NOR Component: Tags-Keywords Assignee: digikam-bugs-n...@kde.org Reporter: stewart.bod...@usa.net Target Milestone: --- I recently created a Tag Tree for all my non-People tags. All the tags are unique, even though I know identical tag names are allowed to exist under different branches of the tree. Then I did an Item→Write Metadata to File, followed by an Item→Reread Metadata from File for a number of images. The results were a destruction of my tag tree. The tags that were re-read from the file's metadata, were placed outside the tag tree and the number of images shown existing under the original tree oriented tags were reduced since the new non-tree tag replaced the tree oriented tag. I understand that this would be a correct behavior under two conditions: 1. If a new tag never seen before was read from the image file 2. If two or more tags having identical names were in different locations within the tree However, when reading the metadata tags from an image and each tag name in the image only exists once within the entire tree, then the import of the metadata should honor the tags current location within the tree. Without this behavior, the use of Tag Trees is useless as it does not have reliable stability as one exports and re-imports metadata tags over the course of time. In summary: please put imported tags in their currently existing position within a tag tree if the tag name is unique within the entire tree and the tag name is not a new never before seen tag. The games seem to open correctly, but they don't show up on the screen, all I can see is the windows that were there before. I can hear the game's soundtrack and it's like it was open but I can't see the menus. If I click on the game's icon in the taskbar the screen flickers a lot and causes artifacts and sometimes crashes my system. I noticed that this only occurs when I have fractional scaling enabled. If I set my 1440p monitor to 100% scaling, the problem goes away. But I would like to use it on a higher scaling integer as I find 100% way too small. I have an AMD Radeon RX 6950xt and am running the latest mesa drivers and kde versions as far as I can tell. Has anyone else run into this issue or know of a fix? Thanks!!! *** STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=472058 --- Comment #1 from guimarcalsi...@gmail.com --- Are you saying that clicking the "Update All" button as shown in your screenshot does not update the system? if so, I noticed the same problem on Neon Unstable. If you want to update, you can go into the terminal (Konsole) and run these two commands: sudo apt update sudo pkcon update Please keep this bug report open even if the commands above fix your issue, that way a developer can investigate the problem. Plasma 5.27.80 is the development version for Plasma 6, it's a work in progress and as such will contain lots of problems, but it's technically Plasma 6 even though it says 5.27.80. It's recommended to stick to KDE Neon User Edition with Plasma 5.27 for a stable experience until the final version of Plasma 6 gets released. It respects the setting only in the preview pane. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Go to KMail -> Settings menu -> Configure KMail -> Security tab, -> ensure that "Allow messages to load external references from Internet" is checked 2. Back in KMail's main interface, find an email that has HTML content with pictures. Click on it. In the preview pane, external references appear as they should. 3. Now double-click on the email item to make it appear in its own window. OBSERVED RESULT When the email is in its own window, no external HTML pictures are loaded. Instead a red box appears with this message: "Note: This HTML message may contain external references to images etc. For security/privacy reasons external references are not loaded. If you trust the sender of this message then you can load the external references for this message by clicking here." [Elisa] [Bug 472081] New: Elisa stops playing audio track when clicking on a star to rate the track
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=472081 Bug ID: 472081 Summary: Elisa stops playing audio track when clicking on a star to rate the track Classification: Applications Product: Elisa Version: 23.04.2 Platform: Neon OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: baloo Assignee: matthieu_gall...@yahoo.fr Reporter: k...@callthecomputerdoctor.com Target Milestone: --- SUMMARY Elisa stops playing audio track when rclicking on a star to rate the track, and then starts playing from beginning again. Happens only the first time in a session. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Start Elisa, clear the playlist, and add 3 audio tracks to the playlist. I tested audio tracks with no star metadata added to them. 2. Start playing the first audio track. 3. After several seconds, in the playlist area, click on the empty star icon for the current audio track (the tooltip says "Set track rating"). Five stars appear to select a star rating. 4. Click on the 5th star to rate it 5 stars. OBSERVED RESULT Audio track stops playing, then starts playing from the beginning, and a pop-up message appears in the corner of the screen saying that "Imported x tracks". EXPECTED RESULT Audio track shouldn't suddenly stop playing when giving a star rating, and a pop up message shouldn't appear saying that x tracks were imported. Note that repeating this procedure for subsequent tracks doesn't have the same audio track resetting effect, but the pop up message still appears. Elisa needs to be restarted to induce the undesired effect again again. [plasmashell] [Bug 470753] Window List uses wrong menu style when openend by shortcut
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=470753 --- Comment #5 from ratijas --- One possible workaround would be to have a single (default) representation only, which internally decides whether to show an icon or a list based on applet's form-factor and size. https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=470753 --- Comment #4 from ratijas --- I'm not a user of this applet, but I will give it a look. [plasmashell] [Bug 470753] Window List uses wrong menu style when openend by shortcut
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=470753 --- Comment #2 from Nate Graham --- Looks like what happens is that the widget has a FullRepresentation that opens when it's activated via keyboard shortcut, as with all such widgets. But when clicked, the button eats the click and handles it in a custom way to show a menu, rather than showing the FullRepresentation. Fixing this by removing the menu-based pop-up would be easy, but would degrade the intended UX which is to pop up a thing that looks and feels like a desktop-style menu. I'm looking into whether it's possible to catch and redirect the activation signal sent by the keyboard shortcut. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

[gwenview] [Bug 472068] Gwenview crash on startup
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=472068 --- Comment #3 from Rob --- I would be surprised if this is a duplicate of 470880 as it occurs with JPEG files, both processed in Darktable/GIMP and straight out of the (Nikon) camera. I have found a bit more information. The crash does not occur with all JPEG files as I first thought. In fact, having gone through about 100 JPEG files, I am as sure as I can be that the crash only occurs on files from my Nikon D750, not on its predecessor, the D700, or on any of my other cameras. The crash happens with RAW files, JPEGs direct from the camera and RAW files post-processed to JPEG. This problem did not occur until very recently, i.e. within the last few days. I can say for certain that Gwenview worked normally with D750 files on 1 July this year. As you see, my current version of Gwenview is 23.04.2. The updates are always done via the Tumbleweed repos, so I cannot tell you what the version was on 1 July. I hope this is helpful and thanks for your patience.
