[krita] [Bug 472172] New: Tools frozen when I use the pressure in my wacom tablet
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=472172 Bug ID: 472172 Summary: Tools frozen when I use the pressure in my wacom tablet Classification: Applications Product: krita Version: unspecified Platform: macOS (DMG) OS: macOS Status: REPORTED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: General Assignee: krita-bugs-n...@kde.org Reporter: h...@hotmail.com Target Milestone: --- SUMMARY I've been using krita for a few days and it was working properly with my wacom tablet. However, suddenly when I wanted to paint a stroke, or move the canvas using only the pen and pressure, is not working. But when, for example, I use the left click of the mouse and then paint in the wacom tablet with the pen, it works, however, I must have the left click pressed. Same with other tools. So it seems like the tablet, and the pen are working properly, (I could be wrong) I have close the program multiple times, close other programs in the computer, reset settings in case it was something I activated or deactivated by mistake. Nothing seems to work. *** NOTE: If you are reporting a crash, please try to attach a backtrace with debug symbols. [kwin] [Bug 471375] Firefox url copy failure
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=471375 Prajna Sariputra changed: What|Removed |Added Product|kde |kwin Component|general |wayland-generic CC||putr...@gmail.com Version|unspecified |5.27.6 Assignee|unassigned-b...@kde.org |kwin-bugs-n...@kde.org --- Comment #3 from Prajna Sariputra --- It doesn't seem limited to the URL bar, clicking the Copy button in the passwords page as well as the Copy button when taking a screenshot in the browser also do not work. This is with Plasma 5.27.6 and Firefox 115.0.1 on Wayland and Arch Linux, although it has been like this for quite a long while (to the point where copying the URL, pasting it into whatever text field I can find in the site and then copying out of that is almost muscle memory now). On Sway this bug does not appear. Also, I noticed that when there is something on the clipboard already attempting to copy the URL clears the clipboard, although Klipper/the clipboard manager doesn't notice. In addition, I also tried running a nested KWin Wayland session on top of Plasma X11 by running `export $(dbus-launch); kwin_wayland --xwayland --x11-display :0`, then running `WAYLAND_DISPLAY=wayland-0 MOZ_ENABLE_WAYLAND=1 firefox` to start Firefox in the nested KWin session, followed by running `WAYLAND_DISPLAY=wayland-0 QT_QPA_PLATFORM=wayland kate` to run Kate in Wayland mode in that same KWin session, and finally trying to copy from Firefox's URL bar to Kate, which also did not work. So, since as I understand it Klipper would not be running in that nested KWin Wayland session I'm also moving the bug to KWin instead of the generic KDE category it is in at the moment. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

[kmail2] [Bug 472168] New: configure KMail to send email and select folders for Sent, Templates, and Drafts
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=472168 Bug ID: 472168 Summary: configure KMail to send email and select folders for Sent, Templates, and Drafts Classification: Applications Product: kmail2 Version: 5.23.2 Platform: Fedora RPMs OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: config dialog Assignee: kdepim-b...@kde.org Reporter: r...@vivaldi.net Target Milestone: --- SUMMARY *** NOTE: If you are reporting a crash, please try to attach a backtrace with debug symbols. See https://community.kde.org/Guidelines_and_HOWTOs/Debugging/How_to_create_useful_crash_reports *** STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Create an email address that does NOT end in .com, .org, or .net. In my particular instance, the domain is @tutor.science. KMail can send using the email address given the server settings at mail.tutor.science for IMAP and SMTP. 2. Go to Setttings/Configure KMail. Then go to Accounts/Identities, then select the active identity for the user. 3. Click Modify. 4. Click Advanced on the new pop-up window. Change Sent-mail folder to a server location folder, like someuser@tutor.science/Sent for Sent mail 5. Then, click OK to save the changes. 6. KMail will complain that "the email address you entered is not valid. It does not seem to contain an actual email address, i.e., something of the form j...@example.org." So, KMail is not programmed to accept email addresses with a top-level domain of .science? If I didn't say so already, I can set up KMail to send out email from my server at mail.tutor.science, so setting up configurations elsewhere in the application is not broken, but in this section of the settings to set up where Sent mail should be stored---on the server---is not allowed for the reasons KMail gives above. The programming seems not robust, but rather progammed case-by-case, checking .com, .org, .net, etc., but not allowing or checking any other top-level domain and throwing the user an error instead. Everything works in the same way the OP described, until after the signature rectangle has been drawn. There, instead of being asked for the signature PIN, the okular window enters a "not responding" state and no popup seems to be produced. I'm also using NSS from firefox, with Thales (Gemalto) Safenet 5110 CC with Safenet Authentication Client 10.8 R1 (10.8.1050.0). Similarly, it seems to work OK with firefox. This behaviour is observed under Wayland, I'll try with X11 later and report the result on X11 as well. Thanks! -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

If I start powerdevil from terminal I get these error messages: org.kde.powerdevil: KDE Power Management System init failed! org.kde.powerdevil: org.kde.powerdevil.chargethresholdhelper.getthreshold failed "Charge thresholds are not supported by the kernel for this hardware" With version 5.27.5-3 everything works fine. [krunner] [Bug 472164] New: KRunner should wait for results before starting the app
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=472164 Bug ID: 472164 Summary: KRunner should wait for results before starting the app Classification: Plasma Product: krunner Version: 5.27.5 Platform: Other OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: general Assignee: plasma-b...@kde.org Reporter: saks...@saksham.dev CC: alexander.loh...@gmx.de, natalie_clar...@yahoo.de Target Milestone: --- SUMMARY When using the search function in the task manager or when using KRunner, I open type quite fast and hit enter as soon as I am done typing (and expect the correct result to show up) even if the search is not fully complete. This often results in the wrong application from starting. replicating this exactly is a little difficult because the timing is relatively precise. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. open task bar search 2. immediately type "fire" (searching for firefox) 3. *immediately* hit enter OBSERVED RESULT The files app opens. You will notice that when you type "fi", the files app is listed at the top above firefox. when you finish typing "fire", files will still be at the top for a small amount of time before firefox becomes the top result (waiting for search to complete). if you press enter before firefox is at the top, the files app will open even if the user clearly intended firefox to launch. this also happens with other applications but this is the one I found to happen most often. EXPECTED RESULT firefox opens instead of files. SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Linux/KDE Plasma: Fedora 38 (nobara official with x11) Specs: i7-8750h + gtx1060 ADDITIONAL INFORMATION This could be fixed by changing krunner so typing a letter will immediately invalidate all results until the search is complete with the new character. Then open the result even if the search is complete after the user presses the enter button. TLDR: close krunner/taskbar after user presses enter, complete search in the background, open top result I hope my explanation makes sense. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

I've also seen at least one case of an application apparently accepting the request but not handling it; as a result, I have to manually kill the app. I'd like a button available to force close a window (and kill the underlying application if it's local) immediately. This does not need to be on the titlebar by default, as obviously it's dangerous and risks data loss, but it would be useful to have it available.
