[gwenview] [Bug 471404] Support the display of PNG parameters

Created attachment 160618
  --> https://bugs.kde.org/attachment.cgi?id=160618=edit
This image is the original, the png image corresponding to the UserComment is
garbled

The images generated by stable diffusion come with a message that is prompted
at the time of generation, which is stored in the image's metadata.
When I use it to view the information about the images generated by stable
diffusion, the UserComment under Exit is garbled, while in ExitTool it is
displayed normally, and the software becomes very laggy and can only be
recovered by restarting.
I set different options but none of them work. I hope you guys can fix this bug
or tell me how to set it up. More and more people are using Stable diffusion
and many need to manage the large number of images generated, which I think is
important.

[plasmashell] [Bug 472788] New: Frequently the system disorganizes the icons on the desktop

2023-07-29 Thread bugzilla_noreply
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=472788

   Summary: Frequently the system disorganizes the icons on the
desktop
Classification: Plasma
   Product: plasmashell
   Version: 5.27.6
  Platform: Fedora RPMs

  Target Milestone: 1.0

Frequently the system disorganizes the icons on the desktop and the lock icons
option is not saved. This is quite annoying, as we always have to arrange the
icons manually again.
The expected result is that the system maintains the position of the icons
chosen by the user and the lock icons option is saved as true or false, this
option is not always saved.

Hey I am able to reproduce both of these bugs. The layout sizes are not
currently saved, and when you move either Scratchpad or Presets it seems to
push the other one to the point where the UI is very squished.

ADDITIONAL INFO

I would love to take a dive into this problem but I'm still very new to
contributing/krita. I might ask those in the irc for more guidance into this
problem.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Start Kstars from desktop icon by double clicking it.
2. Immediately select the search Icon from the main menu bar (3rd icon from the
left)
3.

OBSERVED RESULT
Kstars immediately closes with no warnings. This does not always happen
however and I cannot pre-determine when it will crash. You can repeat above
procedure again once or several times more until search works with no crash.

[frameworks-kirigami] [Bug 472785] New: Properly deal with nested Actions in MenuDialog

2023-07-29 Thread Jack Hill
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=472785

Bug ID: 472785
   Summary: Properly deal with nested Actions in MenuDialog
Classification: Frameworks and Libraries
   Product: frameworks-kirigami
   Version: 5.108.0
  Platform: Other
OS: Linux
Status: REPORTED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: general
  Assignee: kdelibs-b...@kde.org
  Reporter: jackhill3...@gmail.com
CC: notm...@gmail.com
  Target Milestone: Not decided

SUMMARY
Kirigami.MenuDialog does not know how to handle nested actions. Clicking these
actions currently does nothing.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Compile the following code and run it:

Controls.Button {
text: "Open Menu"
onClicked: testMenu.open()
}

Kirigami.Action {
id: mainAction
text: "Top Level"
Kirigami.Action {
text: "Sub1"
}
Kirigami.Action {
text: "Sub2"
}
}

Kirigami.MenuDialog {
id: testMenu
actions: [mainAction]
}

2. Click the button "Open Menu"
3. Click the menu item "Top Level"

OBSERVED RESULT
Nothing happens

EXPECTED RESULT
The menu should update to show the nested actions in the list. This could be
implemented like a page stack where the old actions animate off-screen to the
left and the new actions appear from the right.

[frameworks-kirigami] [Bug 472784] New: Automatically close MenuDialog when a menu item is clicked

2023-07-29 Thread Jack Hill
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=472784

Bug ID: 472784
   Summary: Automatically close MenuDialog when a menu item is
clicked
Classification: Frameworks and Libraries
   Product: frameworks-kirigami
   Version: Master
  Platform: Other
OS: Linux
Status: REPORTED
  Severity: wishlist
  Priority: NOR
 Component: general
  Assignee: kdelibs-b...@kde.org
  Reporter: jackhill3...@gmail.com
CC: notm...@gmail.com
  Target Milestone: Not decided

SUMMARY
This is standard behaviour for menus, and should be implemented here. Currently
we are required to manually `menuDialog.close()` at the end of the action's
`onTriggered` signal, like this:

Kirigami.Action {
id: myAction
onTriggered: { myFunc(); menuDialog.close() }
}

The problem with this is it means we cannot use this action in other contexts.
For example we may want a Kirigami.MenuDialog on mobile devices and a QQC2.Menu
on desktop. I should be able to just plug the same action into both components,
but instead I have to define two near-identical actions to deal with
MenuDialog.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Open Kirigami Gallery and navigate to the Dialogues page
2. Open the MenuDialog component
3. Click a list item

OBSERVED RESULT
Item is clicked, menu is still open

EXPECTED RESULT
Item is clicked, menu is closed

Putting this into action for my pain point which is OBS studio under Wayland, I
wrote this little script:
```
[evert@Evert scripts]$ cat obs_script
#!/bin/bash
qdbus org.kde.kded5 /kded org.kde.kded5.loadModule "appmenu"
obs &
qdbus org.kde.kded5 /kded org.kde.kded5.unloadModule "appmenu"
```

I made the script executable with chmod a+x [script_name]

Then I edit the application in the start menu to point to the script rather
than the application.

For Davinci something similar might do the trick.

Obviously, having to hack together scripts is less than ideal. A proper fix
would be to be able to enable the appmenu daemon for certain applications
through the UI. The logical place for this would have to be the "More Actions"
menu that you get when right-clicking on an open application's icon in it's
titlebar. (The name for which escapes me now)

I'll attach a screenshot.

logfile

SUMMARY
Mullvad VPN fails to autostart. This works on Kubuntu, and debian with Plasma
desktop. The problem is that Mullvad VPN is stored in /opt/"Mullvad VPN" and
autostart apparently is ignoring the quotes. Mullvad VPN starts fine when
started by clicking the desktop icon. The logfile that I have attached shows
that /opt/Mullvad could not be found. My .config/autostart file contains the
desktop file which contains the following line Exec="/opt/Mullvad
VPN/mullvad-vpn" %U.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Try to autostart Mullvad VPN
2.
3.

To my knowledge, Bugzilla doesn't allow you to switch them off - so both the
XML-RPC and JSON-RPC APIs are enabled on this instance.
You will likely need an API key which you can obtain on a self-service basis
from https://bugs.kde.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=apikey

Providing the actual software client is out of scope for us, as Bugzilla is a
commodity-off-the-shelf (COTS) software product.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. My KDENLIVE 23.11.70 crash all the time - cutting is near impossible, render
crashed at >95% with 16GB Ram.
2. If I render a file that is bigger then 40minutes then it crash at >95% of
rendering.
3. If I copy my cut Video to my other Computer Ryzen7 32GB Ram then it can't
load my cut Video into the Kdenlive 22.4.3
   maybe the cutting file is incompatible. But then I can cut it again and
render it without a crash with 22.4.3 - But why is it incompatible and I
can't copy it to a other HDD drive?

OBSERVED RESULT
1st Ryzen5 16GB computer crashed all 2minutes and can't render but if I copied
it to Ryzen7 32GB then the cut file is incompatible?

EXPECTED RESULT
cutting the Video on Ryzen5 16GB and then render it on Ryzen7 32GB - why is it
incompatible? or others why I can not render a bigger file then ca. 40min on my
Ryzen5 16GB?

--- Comment #2 from Tobias Leupold  ---
I never used Ubuntu, so I simply setup a "blank" Ubuntu 22.04 LTS virtual
machine to try it out.

I couldn't install kgeotag using the default package repos, so I suppose it's
not yet official part of Ubuntu 22.04. Thus, I compiled it from git.

I had to install the following packages:

cmake build-essential extra-cmake-modules qtbase5-dev libkf5coreaddons-dev
libkf5i18n-dev libkf5xmlgui-dev libkf5crash-dev libkf5doctools-dev
libkf5kexiv2-dev libmarble-dev

After that, I could compile and install kgeotag without a problem. Also, the
map is shown as expected.

Thus, this seems to be a packaging problem. Please contact the package
maintainer about this, this is not an upstream bug!

[digikam] [Bug 471492] Scripts in context menu

Is it possible to run BQM only for image files? I've tried to run it for sound
and video, but for example separating audio from video with:

ffmpeg -i $INPUT -vn -c:a copy $OUTPUT.m4a

gives

ORIGINALFILENAME ...Failed to process item...
ORIGINALFILENAME ...Failed to save item...

There actually seems to be many places where to adjust filenames: i) Queue
settings -> Behavior, ii) Tool settings -> Output file type,iii) and possibly
within code too??

#2) I tried to install digikam source code via kdesrc-build but some dependency
couldn't be installed (and installer for some reason tries to use home
directory where I don't have enough space). Completely different guide at
https://www.digikam.org/api/ appears to have some presuppositions I don't
understand. There's also another plugin I would like to see if it could be
improved.

[tellico] [Bug 472778] New: Relative file URL generating incorrectly

2023-07-29 Thread Michael Young
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=472778

Bug ID: 472778
   Summary: Relative file URL generating incorrectly
Classification: Applications
   Product: tellico
   Version: 3.5.1
  Platform: Manjaro
OS: Linux
Status: REPORTED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: general
  Assignee: ro...@periapsis.org
  Reporter: agentrebo...@gmail.com
  Target Milestone: ---

SUMMARY
After creating a new URL field with relative set to true, any URLs which may be
added end up not working when moving the directory to a different location. The
link will change and be mostly correct, however it will remove the folder which
the Tellico file is contained within from the path which makes it not work.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Create a folder named "Test".
2. Place some kind of file inside of the "Test" folder, such as an image. Name
it "Testfile".
3. Open Tellico and create a new custom collection. Save it into the "Test"
folder under the name "TestCollection".
4. In this collection, create a URL field named "URL" and set property
"relative" to "true".
5. Create a new entry titled "Test", and link the URL field to the "Testfile"
file in the same folder.
6. Now that the URL is linking to the file correctly, save and exit Tellico.
7. Exit the "Test" folder and create a new folder within the same location.
Title the new folder "MoveTestHere".
8. Move the "Test" folder into the "MoveTestHere" folder and open the Tellico
file to view the URL.

OBSERVED RESULT
The URL which was set to relative is now altered to fit the change in location,
but the "Test" folder which the files are contained within will be excluded
from the path, and the URL will no longer function due to this. e.g. The URL
which once pointed to "file:///home/*user*/Test/Testfile.png" now points to
"file:///home/*user*/MoveTestHere/Testfile.png".

(Moving just the files without the "Test" folder to "MoveTestHere" doesn't help
either as it then will just exclude "MoveTestHere" from the path instead).

EXPECTED RESULT
The URL which is set to relative should now have been altered to fit the change
in location, and should function as previously. e.g. The URL which once pointed
to "file:///home/*user*/Test/Testfile.png" should now point to
"file:///home/*user*/MoveTestHere/Test/Testfile.png".

Hello,
My name is Maciej Błędkowski, and I would like to develop KDE Connect for Apple
Watch. I own iPhone SE 2020 and Apple Watch 6 40 mm (GPS). I do not own a Mac,
but I would be able to develop from virtual machine. I do not have prior
experience with Swift, so it would be nice if someone would be willing to code
review my pull request.
Is KDE connect support on Apple Watch a feature that you would like to add?

Best regards,
Maciej Błędkowski

[bugs.kde.org] [Bug 472773] New: Android client for bugzilla

2023-07-29 Thread Andrew Shark
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=472773

Bug ID: 472773
   Summary: Android client for bugzilla
Classification: Websites
   Product: bugs.kde.org
   Version: unspecified
  Platform: Other
OS: Linux
Status: REPORTED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: general
  Assignee: sysad...@kde.org
  Reporter: ash...@linuxcomp.ru
CC: she...@kde.org
  Target Milestone: ---

Sometimes I want to observe a bug from Android, for example, when receiving
email and being not near PC.

But bugs.kde.org in not adaptive to mobile devices. So I am interested if there
is a way to use bugzilla android clients.
I have seen BugDroid, BoogDroid, Bugzilla Keysystems.

I have seen documentation of bugzilla, saying it can do REST API
https://bugzilla.readthedocs.io/en/5.0.4/api/index.html
The version of bugs.kde.org is obfuscated, but I was able to see it in page
sources, and it is 5.0.6 currently.
It is said that XML-RPC (which DrKonqi uses?) and JSON-RPC APIs are deprecated.
But did this site enabled working with REST API? Is it possible to use some
android client for bugzilla with this site?

I started lokalize in ~/vertalingen with "lokalize --project

I got the following output:

Could the content of ~/.config/lokalizerc play a role in this problem?

So, yes!

ls: cannot access

This is because I have the following content in KF5trunk.lokalize:

An easy way to unlock the screen if the locker freezes as root is:
loginctl unlock-sessions.

An issue I've been having for a long time with the locker with a dual monitor
setup is that if I try to unlock immediately as it attempts to lock the screen,
there is a high probability that the displays will freeze empty, only the mouse
cursor will be visible and if I move the mouse cursor to the primary monitor,
it will be leaving a trail of mouse cursors behind, which has limited length,
i.e. the more I move the mouse, the older parts of the trail are erased.
loginctl unlock-sessions does nothing when this occurs, I can only restart the
session. I'm not certain it is the same issue as this one, though.

Candidate (partial) fix for the issue

See attached patch (diffed from 2c1a1873ac69763b7b82fc0a891b9e16e449901b).

This seems to work, but *requires choqok to be restarted before the Timeline
Configuration changes properly take effect* i.e. unchecking "Local" via the
"Timeline Configuration" will still leave the "Local" timeline being shown (and
refreshed with new posts) until Choqok is quit and re-started.

If there's interest, I can make this into a pull request.

No; with my setup from previous comment I can reproduce it by using mouse
controls only (dolphin 23.04.3).

Reported upstream here:

I think this can be closed.

I have the same problem, but for Norwegian Nynorsk. The weekday and month names
are properly localized, but the order and punctuation is wrong (it looks like
it uses the US order). Also, note this happens *only* when there’s more than
one timezone configured. I’ll attach a screenshot.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Configure the digital clock to have at least two time zones. In my example
(screenshot) I have Oslo and Aden, and I have my regional settings set to
Norwegian Nynorsk.
2. Hover over the clock.

OBSERVED RESULT
A tooltip is shown, and the heading contains a (medium-sized) date, but the
date parts are in the wrong order and have the wrong punctuation:
la. juli 29 2023
«la.» is the Norwegian Nynorsk abbreviation for «laurdag» (Saturday), and
«juli» is the Norwegian Nynorsk month name for July.

EXPECTED RESULT
For Norwegian Nynorsk, I would expect:
la. 29. juli 2023
or (preferably)
laurdag 29. juli 2023
(note the . after the day.)

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
If I only have *one* time zone, the date is displayed correctly (but on two
lines), in long form:
laurdag
29. juli 2023

[dolphin] [Bug 468836] Dolphin does not cut selected files consistently

2023-07-29 Thread Valeri
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=468836

--- Comment #7 from Valeri  ---
Pretty reliable reproduction steps as well as an error message from 472716:

1. Run the following commands in bash to generate a directory with 3000 empty
files:
1.1 mkdir /tmp/dolphin_copy_test_src /tmp/dolphin_copy_test_dst
1.2 cd /tmp/dolphin_copy_test_src
1.3 for ((i=1;i<=3000;i++)); do touch $(uuidgen); done
2. Open Dolphin file manager, preferably from terminal
3. Navigate to /tmp/dolphin_copy_test_src
4. Press Ctrl+A to select all 3000 files in directory
5. Press Ctrl+C to copy files; at this point console will be spammed with

QDBusConnection: error: could not send message to service
"org.freedesktop.portal.Documents" path "/org/freedesktop/portal/documents"
interface "org.freedesktop.portal.FileTransfer" member "AddFiles": Marshalling
failed: Invalid file descriptor passed in arguments

6. Navigate to /tmp/dolphin_copy_test_dst
7. Press Ctrl+V to paste files you've copied
