--- Comment #3 from Maik Qualmann  ---
This is not a bug, the files are marked in red and renaming is not possible
because the files are not unique in name. digiKam offers many options to make
filenames unique, you could add a date option or a simple counter, such as
"gess-". The files would now be continuously renamed "gess-001",
"gess-002", "gess-003" etc. There is help in the renaming dialog about possible
options and modifiers.

With next digiKam 8.4.0, a new G'MIC processor tool for the Batch Queue Manager
will be available. The G'MIC regular frames filter has the desired option :

Image editor : https://i.imgur.com/WpxOl2Y.png
BQM : https://i.imgur.com/vZEswLD.png

Plenty of other G'MIc frame tools are also available for your workflow, and
more (in fact over 600 filters to process photo). The settings from an Image
Editor G'MIC-Qt filter can be backported to the BQM using the 'copy' button on
the top of the dialog.

Hi DrSlony,

The new Batch Queue Manager tool for the G'MIC processor will be available in
next digiKam 8.4.0.

With this tool you can apply in batch a G'MIC command over a set on images from
your digiKam collection.

Watermark Fourier filter can be applied as expected :

>From the Image Editor : https://i.imgur.com/4PRNGEY.png
>From the Batch Queue Manager : https://i.imgur.com/4oeYSbi.png

Note that the G'MIC command string to host in the Batch Queue Manager can be
copied from the IMage Editor tool using the "copy" button on the top if the
dialog.

Best regards

https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=474917

--- Comment #11 from Jack  ---
If build 2045 works, what else is actually needed? The main problem with
creating a real fix is that we don't know exactly what the cause of the problem
is. In addition, I don't think any of the developers use macOS, so any
attempted fix needs to be made, and then can only be tested after the commit is
included in the next successful macOS build. Unfortunately, as far as I know,
the KDE builds for x86_64 are not currently functional, so unless someone steps
up to help restore that process, there is not much that can be done. (see
https://kmymoney.org/macos.html for that info.)

[Haruna] [Bug 487565] New: Add option to open folder with Haruna

OS: Linux
Status: REPORTED
  Severity: wishlist
  Priority: NOR

SUMMARY

It would be nice if Haruna would be able to open a folder instead of just
single files. This could be useful when listening to music or when watching
serial video content. The folder content could be queued into a playlist to
make playback and file management easy.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Try to open a folder with Haruna.
2. Open playlist to see if files got added.

OBSERVED RESULT

Nothing happens as this is not supported.

EXPECTED RESULT

The folder gets opened and the content gets queued into the playlist.

SUMMARY
Changing the "Adaptive Sync" option to "Always" drastically lowers the monitor
frequency noticeable with cursor stutters

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Use a freesync display
2. Set Adaptive Sync to always
3. Mouse stutters and your display frequency is low
OBSERVED RESULT
Your cursor will stutter, it seems to lower the monitor frequency to 48hz

EXPECTED RESULT
Smooth cursor like the other options(?)

[plasmashell] [Bug 487562] New: Kicker button too wide with default icon

Kicker's button with the default icon on a 36px horizontal panel

SUMMARY
Kicker's button is too wide when using a horizontal panel and the default icon

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Create a horizontal panel and add Kicker

OBSERVED RESULT
Kicker's button is too wide (see attached screenshot of a 36px panel, Kicker's
button has a width of ca. 58px).

EXPECTED RESULT
Kicker's button has a reasonable size

SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS
Operating System: Arch Linux
KDE Plasma Version: 6.0.5
KDE Frameworks Version: 6.2.0
Qt Version: 6.7.1
Graphics Platform: Wayland

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
* This probably regressed with MR 2234, 6.0.4 was not affected
* Choosing a custom icon (even if its just "start-here-kde-plasma") fixes the
bug, it only occurs when customButtonImage=... is not set in
.config/plasma-org.kde.plasma.desktop-appletsrc
* To reproduce, it is NOT sufficient to reset the icon in Kicker's settings as
this does not delete the customButtonImage entry

As it stands, it's most practical for quickly swapping between the two most
recently used apps. If one wishes to switch to a different app there's a lot of
time spent keeping the keys pressed down, especially since the order of the
apps will keep changing (c.f. report #487560).

activation example, cmake/Qt project

SUMMARY

KDE 6 Wayland xdg_activation protocol implementation is inconsistent.

Let's say developer want to create a multi-window application, using 3
QMainWindow.

CASE 1: When you create QMainWindow -> showMinimized() -> activateWindow()
never works in first call, only second try starts working. This is a bug!

CASE 2: When you create QMainWindow -> show(), then switching to that new
window, resize it, and try to activateWindow() also never works in first try,
only second. This is also a bug!

When you create minimized window first and then normal one (or vice versa,
doesn't matter) then both activateWindow works.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE CASE 1:
1. Run activation-example from archive attached.
2. Click Show Minimized
3. Click Try Activate Minimized
4. Window won't get activated and still minimized on taskbar.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE CASE 2:
1. Run activation-example from archive attached.
2. Click Show Normal
3. Click on that newly showed window.
4. Move it and resize it.
5. Click on example window with 4 buttons.
6. Also move it and resize it.
7. Click on Try Activate Normal
8. Window won't get activated.

You can already do this if you add a third zone that uses all vertical space.
Then when moving the window, you can point more or less to the middle and see
the placement.

See for example, my layout from ~/.config/kwinrc, which uses this feature both
vertically and horizontally:

```
tiles={"layoutDirection":"horizontal","tiles":[{"layoutDirection":"floating","tiles":[{"height":0.48,"width":0.5,"x":0,"y":0},{"height":0.48,"wi
CC: alexander.loh...@gmx.de
  Target Milestone: ---
SUMMARY
Hey, I'm beta testing Plasma 6.1 in Arch and I'm not sure if it was the update
to Qt 6.7 or 6.7.1 or Plasma 6.1 beta itself, but I noticed that when trying to
reorder the search plugins. It seems like the ui gets stuck for a second before
moving my item and then jumping to the top of the list.
STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Open system settings.
2. Got to search -> plasma search.
3. Try favoring and reordering some plugins.
OBSERVED RESULT
There seems to be a really brief freeze and the view jumps to the top making
the process look stuttery.
EXPECTED RESULT
The view definitely shouldn't move and ui shouldn't appear to stutter.
Hey, I am beta testing Plasma 6.1 on Arch and I just noticed, although this was
probably there before 6.1, that when I search using krunner, overview, etc.
There is a texts section as well as a document section. In Plasma 6, the
ability to reorder search results by favoroting plugins was introduced. I have
the order like this: applications, system settings pages, file search. However,
what I am instead seeing is applications, text, system settings, documents. It
seems as if there are two different portions of file search. I'm not sure what
the difference between the texts section and the documents section is after all
they are all documents to me, but either way. Files regardless of what the
difference between them are should be shown after the system settings pages.
STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Order plugins to be in the result of applications, system settings, file
search.
2. I must also have some files with the word controller indexed on my current
machine.
3. I searched for the word "controller" in krunner.
OBSERVED RESULT
The order shown in search results is
Applications
Texts
System Settings
Documents
EXPECTED RESULT
The order should be
Applications
System Settings
Texts
Documents
or Preferably Texts and Documents Should be Consolidated since I can't tell the
difference between them anyways. At first I though that texts was a content
search and documents was a name search, but none of the documents contain the
word "controller" in the name while only one of the files in the texts section
contains the word "controller" in the name.
I'm assuming that the reporter meant "50+50*2" because that would indeed
produce 150.
If that's so, this is not a big as kcalc implements proper order of operations,
making 200 NOT the correct answer.
Bug ID: 487551
   Summary: Shape Adaptive Blur Preformance Issues When Applied to
Image Clips
Classification: Applications
   Product: kdenlive
   Version: 23.08.5
  Platform: Other
OS: Linux
Status: REPORTED
If you're reporting a crash, attach a backtrace with debug symbols; see
https://community.kde.org/Guidelines_and_HOWTOs/Debugging/How_to_create_useful_crash_reports
***
SUMMARY
The Shape Adaptive Blur filter is extremely resource intensive even when
applied to an image clip. It should be a lot more efficient when applied to an
image clip. For example, if I enable the felter on an image clip, then extract
the frame, and replace the clip with the new clip, the preformance issues no
longer occur.
STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Put an image clip in the timeline.
2. Apply Shape Adaptive Blur to the clip
3. Playback or Render.
OBSERVED RESULT
Massive preformance issues occur when they should not occur.
EXPECTED RESULT
There should be little preformance hit.
I can confirm this as well. I recently installed Ubuntu 24.04 and downloaded
Kdenlive Version 24.02.2 AppImage from the official Kdenlive website. For some
inexplicable reason, most of my audio effects are not working. I can add them
to the audio clips, but they have no effect whatsoever.
Here are the steps I’ve taken so far:
* Tried using the Kdenlive version from the Ubuntu repository.
* Tested older AppImage versions of Kdenlive.
Unfortunately, none of these attempts resolved the issue. Below, I’ve attached
the terminal output I get when running Kdenlive. Any help or suggestions would
be greatly appreciated.
SUMMARY
When adding widgets on the main screen, and when trying to drag it to another
3. Widget stuck on secondary panel
4. After dragging it back to secondary monitor, widget seems like to disappear
OBSERVED RESULT
SUMMARY
plasmashell hangs/freezes when opening an app on the "icons-only task manager"
or the system tray while a tool-tip or window preview is open/active.
STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. opening a tray icon while Firefox window preview is showing up
2. moving the cursor around the panel while a tool-tip is showing up and
opening any other tray icon/app icon
3. glancing over app icons while a tray icon tool-tip is still showing up
OBSERVED RESULT
Any time a tool-tip or a window preview is active, the desktop freezes (Apps
still function normally and alt-tabbing is still possible) while this happens,
any time the cursor glances over the bottom panel or the desktop the cursor's
icon never changes and i can't click on anything, neither desktop shortcuts,
nor panel icons. Restarting the PC or killing plasmashell in the system monitor
solves the problem.
EXPECTED RESULT
Normal functionality of the desktop without any kind of freezing. Even if the
tool-tips/window previews are showing up.
There are two way to open the Add widget sidebar in edit mode. One is using the
