[kmail2] [Bug 370938] New: Kmail loses connection to akonadi every few seconds

2016-10-16 Thread Achim Herwig via KDE Bugzilla
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=370938

Bug ID: 370938
Summary: Kmail loses connection to akonadi every few seconds
   Product: kmail2
   Version: 5.3.0
  Platform: openSUSE RPMs
OS: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: grave
  Priority: NOR
 Component: general
  Assignee: kdepim-b...@kde.org
  Reporter: achim.her...@wodca.de

When browsing through emails (IMAP-accounts, one zimbra, one dovecot, working
for years), kmail will lose the connection to akonadi every few seconds. It
will re-establish the connection immediately, but refresh the display so that
the folder tree is collapsed again and the current mail shown is some other
mail kmail remembers for some reason as being the current one.

As this happens every few seconds when using kmail, it is basically unusable.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. open kmail
2. browse mails in sub-folders
3.

Actual Results:
kmail loses connection to akonadi (or at least it claims so). It reconnects
immediately, but jumps out of the current mail and collapses the folder
structure.

Expected Results:
Not lose the connection.

I stopped using korganizer at some point (not the least b/c of this problem).

I just set it up again, so far I cannot see the problem any longer.
