[kdenlive] [Bug 440191] New: Audio wont render

2021-07-23 Thread Adam Earle
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=440191

Bug ID: 440191
   Summary: Audio wont render
   Product: kdenlive
   Version: 21.04.3
  Platform: Microsoft Windows
OS: Microsoft Windows
Status: REPORTED
  Severity: crash
  Priority: NOR
 Component: Video Display & Export
  Assignee: j...@kdenlive.org
  Reporter: mradamea...@gmail.com
  Target Milestone: ---

SUMMARY
I was attempting to make a pilot animation was testing out kdenlive to see if
it could hold up to the everyday tasks as an editor. There seem to be a lot of
little things that need to be worked on here to make Kdenlive more widely
adopted.

This is a good editor in a lot of ways it just needs some polish. I have been
working in the industry as an animation artist for 20 years. But I wish I could
code like you.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Oh Jesus are you for real?
2. I don't think I can do that?
3. I have been taking so many notes programs and where it has been failing me I
honestly wouldn't know where to begin. Only good intentions honestly

4. there are about 60 audio channels with effects on them.
volume, EQ, normalize, limiter, you know all the usual suspects.

OBSERVED RESULT
1. Changing the scanning setting when rendering out to force progressive
crashes the render
2. Encoder Speed - putting in too many encoder threads crashes the render
3. Selected Zone Crashes
4. Rendering file path doesn't take to the current folder that is in the path
text field. would be kinda nice if it did

EXPECTED RESULT
should render a wave file

SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS
Windows: 10

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
I would love to give you this project. for you to look at and imagine that you
were building it out for animation.

[kdenlive] [Bug 397813] New: Record/ Capture

2018-08-23 Thread Adam Earle
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=397813

Bug ID: 397813
   Summary: Record/ Capture
   Product: kdenlive
   Version: 18.04.1
  Platform: Other
OS: MS Windows
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: Video Display & Export
  Assignee: j...@kdenlive.org
  Reporter: mradamea...@gmail.com
  Target Milestone: ---

Screen capture or audio is not working.

OBS does this really well perhaps integration is something to think about
considering the huge interest from the gaming community. If you can piggyback
off "OBS" or "Streamlabs OBS" success we could see more developers, people and
money pouring into the development of Kdenlive. Now that would be nice.

I am wondering if it's best to just mash and bash code from everywhere from
places like:

 - OBS
 - Openshot
 - shotcut

Also guys, in the few weeks I will be doing development reviews and recording
them as so I will be post bug reports that which I am hoping will lead to more
interest and developers

Thanks guys

Playback doesn't seem to work consistently - I beleive it is meant to work
when you select the any of the playback buttons or playback in the timeline
with the hotkey.

Since this is such a commonly performed task it might be good to get on this
right away.

love your work guys.

hey guys downloaded 4

python wasn't working in there yet i noticed? So here are just a few thoughts
after diggin around on the web

Love the comic project integration can you make it so it works as a
storyboarder as well I'm sure it wouldn't take much and I am happy to share
mine with you.

i also thought it would be good if there was python listener similar to
blenders so that way you could look at the code that has been generated and you
could copy past code and part of the UI to create different krita tools.

Also I am learning use Pycharm along with python for creating tools in Krita 4
when it gets released. I would love to see a tutorial perhaps or a healthy
workflow for using apps like this for developing krita in python.

Love your work guys

Playback doesn't play when you hit the spacebar but work with a spacebar and
then mouse click.

I am not sure if this is a gimmick but it makes life difficult.

other playbacks seems to work just fine

[krita] [Bug 378573] New: Group not editable

Group not editable

This only seems to happen when I drawing at a 6k to 8 k range for print. krita
gets really funky and does weird stuff all the time operating at this level
which makes it crash all the time as well considering of 32 gigs of ram and a
GTX 960

Also it seems to happen when I have multiple windows open for Krita for scripts
breakdowns and reference.

an option to open the current document in a new view would be awesome so you
could mirror it and view its mirrored version update in real time.

to be honest, I am not sure if I am really pushing Krita's boundaries because I
am operating at such a high print resolution. I am using animations as pages in
a book conceptually so each new frame i like turning the page

Thanks guys

[krita] [Bug 363828] Crash Nearly whole computer brush engine

2016-06-07 Thread Adam Earle via KDE Bugzilla
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=363828

Awesome idea mate about the app data it worked

But I had to do a complete
Uninstalled Krita
removed AppData/ Roaming/ Krita
removed AppData/ Local/ Krita

and so far so good. The strange thing is that the first time I open the krita
drop down for the brushes they open up as squashed still. Know idea on where to
start with that.

Also a few version ago there was the option in the toolbar to remove names from
any buttons that were added to the bar. this was an awesome feature an awesome
feature because i had enough space on there to put all the animation icons

thanks heaps mate

No everything really is kinda straight out of the box. Microsoft security for
what its worth.

I have trialed portables and installs as well. Any ideas where to start
looking next? I would love to find it out and pass the knowledge on to you
guys. I might do some digging around on the net tomorrow during lunch.

Any suggestion would be great ;)

I secretly kinda love this stuff, but only in downtime.

[krita] [Bug 358198] New: wow amazing work unfortunately alot has gone wrong

2016-01-19 Thread Adam Earle via KDE Bugzilla
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=358198

Bug ID: 358198
Summary: wow amazing work unfortunately alot has gone wrong
   Product: krita
   Version: unspecified
  Platform: MS Windows
OS: MS Windows
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: major
  Priority: NOR
 Component: usability
  Assignee: krita-bugs-n...@kde.org
  Reporter: mradamea...@gmail.com

System:

I am using Windows 7
and Krita is used on my cintiq
32 gigs of ram
I have test this on three other computers and the same result

Just a few things have gone wonky testing before and after restart my computer

1. Themes click on dark and it turns light
2. Dockers: clicking the X icon wont shut them down they need to be done
through menu
3. Configure tool bar:
- little arrow lighting up has disappeared
- Hide names feature for icons has disappeared (hopefully for the better and
the be replaced with a check mark next to the icon.
4. hot keys F5 and F6 dont open the brush and or library anymore
5.Layer are not selectable sometimes when creating a vector layer
6. Icons some dock menus don't click or select and have lost functionality
7.Export animation auotselects ramdom file that you hovers over and the starts
exporting
8. Interface randomly locks up
9. Right Clicking on the too bar doesn't bring up configure tool bar (this may
not be a bug)
10. When tagging brushes the text is to light in colour

Great work:
Congradulations on making the interface cleaner looking and one more step
closer to being easier to look at. You have come along way.

just on layer though: these icons need to be
either simplified
or made slightly larger and more space given between each icon and the layer
details text looks squashed.

also i would get rid of the stylised "Close X icon" for documents. Personally
to me it cheapens the elegant feel and look/ design that Krita is finally
starting to get.

We want artist to focus on what they want to create and not be influenced by
the UI so minimal UI best.

Final notes:
wow seriously freakn amazing work
I can't wait till krita gains such features as

1. Import and export audio so you can animate to lipsync
2. "Export to H264, .mov, .avi, googles new codec, .BPG .wav, mp3
3. "animation library system" for reusable assets
5. "Selected area timeline playback" for quickly testing small part of an
animation
6. "Fill across frames" this would be amazing, but i think it might be very
difficult with raster art.
7. "Vector brush" similar to that of Adobe illustrator "blob brush" this would
be amazing if could utilise some feature in the brush engine like scatter and
pressure. Equall there would need to be a vector Eraser to match
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4bhltsqSp_0
8. Audio record feature for taking audio notes on animation as part of a
review feature.
9. Save hot key map without having to into the backend of Krita
10. Save workspace without having to into the backend of Krita
11. Save Brushes out without having to into the backend of Krita

Well done guys amazing work i have been telling loads of people about krita and
am trying to get as many animators using it as possible.

You guys are bloody rockstars and if any of you are in Sydney Australia i am
buying you beers.

Thanks guys your amazing

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
To much to explain but please feel free to get in contact with via google
hangouts

Actual Results:
unuseable

Expected Results:
doesn't work efficiently

hm its kinda like krita is building up this memory in the background and
then it becomes to much for the software so it starts miss behaving

a quick restart of the application kind of fixes it
