I can live with that my friend - sounds like it would involve a fairly
significant rewrite. I wish it was something I could help you with.

Thanks for the tip with the URL search though. I can't get it to work with or
without the API key, but I'll experiment some more. I'm sure it's something I'm
missing

Kid3 is still easily the best tagger I've used, so thank you for your efforts
mate.

Thank you Urs. I should've been more specific sorry. The track-listing is quite
manageable, it's the album list I find I have the problem. If it could show
maybe a little more information - eg. Country of release, or something like
that, that could make identifying the specific release more efficient is what
I was thinking. Or even the ability to search against release number could be a
good solution?!

Just to give you an idea, I was looking up "In Utero" by Nirvana. There are
over 400 entries in Discogs, and adding more search terms in Kid3, I can
eliminate most irrelevant results. I can find the details on the website, but
matching it against the search results in Kid3 can be a bit tedious in cases
like these. Just a way to sort those results more easily would be great. Let me
know if some screenshots could be useful.

[kid3] [Bug 481394] New: Ability to sort search results in the import screen

2024-02-15 Thread Ben Wilson-Hill
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=481394

Bug ID: 481394
Summary: Ability to sort search results in the import screen
Classification: Applications
   Product: kid3
   Version: 3.9.x
  Platform: Arch Linux
OS: Linux
Status: REPORTED
  Severity: wishlist
  Priority: NOR
 Component: general
  Assignee: uflei...@users.sourceforge.net
  Reporter: b...@wilsonhill.au
  Target Milestone: ---

When importing album details, from Discogs as an example, the results appear to
be parsed into more of a description field, and the list is not sorted in a
logical manner.

Could we introduce perhaps more of a table layout, with the ability to sort
results by columns e.g. Name, Title, Date? It would make sorting through the
results and little easier.
