[plasmashell] [Bug 436281] offset highlight in the expand system tray button

2021-04-29 Thread Bruno Guedes
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=436281

(In reply to Nate Graham from comment #5)
> Seems like this is fixed in 5,22 already, as the line now spans the entire
> width/height of the panel tray representation, rather than just the arrow.

Sorry. I gave the wrong info about the bug.

It only happens if you set all entries of the system tray to always hidden or
disabled.

and the highlight line already spans over the entire system tray in 5.21. and
even so I am having this bug

steps to properly reproduce:

1. right click on the system tray and go to "Configure System Tray".

2. go to the entries tab and mark all entries as always hidden or disabled, but
leave at least one entry as always hidden.

3. apply the changes. Now there should be just a up pointing triangle (the
button that shows the hidden entries).

4. click the button and see the highlight.

I am reopening this bug and changing its name to properly convey the bug's
behavior.

Again sorry for the misdirection.

(In reply to Konrad Materka from comment #3)

I didn't understand your question

Are you asking about my system language? If so the answer is no. My system is
in English

But if you are talking about the alignment of the panel, it does not matter.
I can reproduce the bug in all alignments (left, center and right).

and if you are asking because the arrow is to the left side of the other
widgets in the images... that is because they are not part of the system tray.
Those are the individual widgets.
The system tray is just showing the triangle to expand and collapse the hidden
widgets.

I can confirm this as well.
trying to drag emails to folders doesn't work
and trying to change the order of the favorite folders in favorite folders view
also doesn't work. Because the only way to do this(that I know of) is by
dragging and dropping.

Can Confirm this. beyond it being pointless, it burns my eyes when I am using
my notebook in a dark place with 5% brightness and it suddenly jumps to 30%.

The correct thing to do was a check the current brightness level and just
change it if it is greater that the power saving level.

Obs.: It would be nice as well if there were a percentage meter at the side of
the slider(the one written "Level") on the screen brightness option of the the
power saving configuration.

[kwin] [Bug 431018] [Wayland Only] The "Add Panel" right click menu option spawns in a randon place

2021-01-12 Thread Bruno Guedes
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=431018

After today's update it kind of works.
Previously it would always be buggy. And now it works in some cases.
If the last thing you clicked was the desktop or the plasma panel it works.

But if you clicked in another window and immediately after right click in the
plasma panel, the add panels sub-memu will appear in another window.

And there is another way of triggering this bug that I don't know if is
related.
If you open konsole and run a command that takes some time. Like e.g. "sleep
10", while the command is running, the bug will also trigger.

Summary: launch options window is to big for my screen and I
can't resize it
   Product: kdevelop
   Version: 5.6.1
  Platform: Other
OS: Linux
Status: REPORTED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: UI: general
  Assignee: kdevelop-bugs-n...@kde.org
  Reporter: brunoguedes.n...@gmail.com
  Target Milestone: ---

SUMMARY

the launch configurations under "Run" > "Configure Launches" is to big and I
can't make it any smaller by resizing it thus making it impossible to see or
some of the options the lie on the bottom of the window.

This happens in X11 and in Wayland.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. open a project in kdevelop
2. go to "Run" > "Configure Launches"
3. Click the "Add" button and add your project
4. click in the just added option and you can't see the bottom of the windom

OBSERVED RESULT

the window is to big (see attachment)

EXPECTED RESULT

the window to fit the screen or having the ability to resize it to make it
smaller (maybe the element inside the window could be scrollable).

It happened all the time when I was using kde neon unstable (kmail git master).
But 2 weeks ago I change to manjaro (kmail 20.08) and the bug did not happened
anymore. Until I updated kmail to 20.12 and it started asking googles
permission again. It happens in an interval of about a 2 hours from one
another.

Obs.: I don't really know if the previous version before I updated manjaro was
20.08 but it was the las release before 20.12.

SUMMARY

when opening an album in elisa while in the albums view, if the screen is
scrolled down a little, you might see that the albums view is still visible
through gaps at the bottom and at the top of the screen.

Obs.: this bug depends on the size of the window, if it is to small it will not
happen, but I can reproduce it 100% of the times if I have the window
maximazed.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. open elisa and go to the albums screen
2. scroll the page just so the album covers get partially covered by the search
bar
3. open one of the albums and see there is a space at the top and bottom of the
window that does not get covered.

SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS

Operating System: KDE neon Unstable Edition
KDE Plasma Version: 5.20.80
KDE Frameworks Version: 5.75.0
Qt Version: 5.15.0
Kernel Version: 5.4.0-48-generic
OS Type: 64-bit
Processors: 4 × Intel® Core™ i5-6200U CPU @ 2.30GHz
Memory: 7,2 GiB of RAM
Graphics Processor: Mesa Intel® HD Graphics 520

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

using the commands'shutdown now' to shutdown, 'shutdown -r now' to restart and
'loginctl kill-session [ID]' to logout works as expected.

In 01/10/2020 it was working fine, so I think it must be related to a update
between 01/10/2020 and 03/10/2020 (dd/mm/).

2020-09-17 Thread Bruno Guedes
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=426654

Bug ID: 426654
Summary: Right click menu persists after multiple clicks
(wayland only)
   Product: plasmashell
   Version: master
  Platform: Other
OS: Linux
Status: REPORTED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
Component: Task Manager and Icons-Only Task Manager
  Assignee: h...@kde.org
  Reporter: brunoguedes.n...@gmail.com
CC: plasma-b...@kde.org
  Target Milestone: 1.0

SUMMARY
In wayland the right click menu of the icons only task manager does not
disappear after you right click a second time. the same does not happens in the
xorg session, so I think it's a bug. It becomes more noticeable if you use a
theme that makes the right click menu transparent.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. login to the plasma wayland session.

2. right click an icon in the icons only task manager and menu will pop (as it
should).

3. immediately after right click again in other icon and notice that the first
menu is still there and a new menu appeared above the old one

OBSERVED RESULT

the menus stack up.

EXPECTED RESULT

the menu to vanish before another one appears.

[kdeplasma-addons] [Bug 422277] New: 100% cpu usage and desktop crash if you plaice a certain combination of plasmoid widgets

2020-05-30 Thread Bruno Guedes
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=422277

Bug ID: 422277
Summary: 100% cpu usage and desktop crash if you plaice a
certain combination of plasmoid widgets
   Product: kdeplasma-addons
   Version: 5.18.5
  Platform: Manjaro
OS: Linux
Status: REPORTED
  Severity: grave
  Priority: NOR
 Component: systemloadviewer
  Assignee: plasma-b...@kde.org
  Reporter: brunoguedes.n...@gmail.com
  Target Milestone: ---

SUMMARY
This bug happens if you use the grouping plasmoid widget to group the 'system
load viwer' plasmoid widget with the 'calculator' plasmoid widget and you
restart the computer.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. add the grouping plasmoid widget to the desktop
2. put the system load viwer plasmoid widget inside of it
3. then put the calculator plasmoid widget inside of it as well
4. click the system load viewer tab so that it is the plasmoid widget that is
shown when the pc restarts.
5. restart the pc.

OBSERVED RESULT
The entire desktop freezes. You will not be able to invoke the desktop menu by
right clicking and all other plasmoids that you might have on your desktop will
freeze as well.
This includes the plasma panel and the plasmoids in it.

You will still be able to open konsole using the keyboard shortcut(ctrl + alt +
t) and, sometimes, krunner works(not always and when it do, it is glitchy).

When I checked ksysguard 1 of my cpu threads was at 100% and its would not go
down with time.

I could revert the freezing by removing the system load viwer plasmoid widget
from the grouping widget. Even though it was not a simple task since it would
freeze quite quickly and, once it freezes, you cannot remove the widget
anymore.

EXPECTED RESULT

Image 1: the loading bar working fine

SUMMARY

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. open discover and go to the updates section
2. click the check for updates button
3. resize the discover window (horizontally) to it's minimum

OBSERVED RESULT

The window will change for its mobile friendly version and, if you continue
to resize the window, the loading bar will get cut and the word fetching
updates will get decentralized.

EXPECTED RESULT

I think the intended behavior would be for the loading bar to get correctly
resized and everything to be centralized.
But another possibility would be changing the minimum horizontal size of the
screen.
