[krita] [Bug 492434] Snap to grid does not work at the edge of the canvas

2024-08-30 Thread Chris W
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=492434

Sorry, I didn't see the extra fields!

OBSERVED RESULT
Bezier tool loosely snaps to the edge of the canvas instead of to the grid
points that lie on the edge of the canvas. This means that points on the edge
of the canvas do not align with the grid.

EXPECTED RESULT
Tapping a grid point on the edge of the canvas places the next bezier vertex
exactly at the grid point.

Bug ID: 492434
Summary: Snap to grid does not work at the edge of the canvas
Classification: Applications
   Product: krita
   Version: 5.2.3
  Platform: Android
OS: Android 14.x
Status: REPORTED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: General

***

SUMMARY
When snap to grid is on, grid points which lie on the edge of the canvas do not
get snapped to.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Create a document of 300px x 300px
2. In "Grids and Guides" docker, set up a grid with x and y spacing set to 30px
3. Select the bezier curve tool
4. Try to click on a point where the horizontal and vertical grid lines
intersect with the edge of the canvas. Notice how the tool does not snap to any
grid points which are on the edge of the canvas.

You're correct, I just tested it in 7.9 and it works fine - I didn't realize my
version was out-of-date until submitting this bug. Thanks! Looks like we
should close this as resolved.

Status: REPORTED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: Import-Albums
  Assignee: digikam-bugs-n...@kde.org

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Open digiKam (7.8) and choose Import > Add images...
2. Select a folder, then Download all

That worked great, thanks Maik! For the benefit of others who may see this,
the setting is at: Settings > Configure DigiKam > Camera > Behavior > Use file
metadata (enable)

Really appreciate the help, and it inspired me to Donate to the project :-)

[digikam] [Bug 440909] New: Import's "Auto-creation of Albums" using file modified date rather than date taken

2021-08-12 Thread Chris W
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=440909

Bug ID: 440909
Summary: Import's "Auto-creation of Albums" using file modified
date rather than date taken
   Product: digikam
   Version: 7.3.0
  Platform: Microsoft Windows
OS: Microsoft Windows
Status: REPORTED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: Import-Albums
  Assignee: digikam-bugs-n...@kde.org
  Reporter: k...@chrisweis.com
  Target Milestone: ---

SUMMARY
When I import images, I expect album folders to be generated based upon when
photos are taken, but they seem to only be using the data the image file was
last modified (in my case, the date the image was copied from my iPhone to my
OneDrive cloud storage).

The file formats I'm able to recreate this issue are: heif (Apple iPhone) and
NEF (Nikon Raw)

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Open Digikam
2. Select Import > Add images
3. Navigate to a folder with photos (that contain EXIF data, including date
captures)
4. Confirm "Date-based sub-albums" is enabled in the "Auto-creation of Albums"
setting, with date format of Custom and "/-MM/-MM-dd"
4. Click Download
5. Note that the generated folders only use the file modified date, not the
camera capture date in EXIF.

OBSERVED RESULT
(described above)

EXPECTED RESULT
(described above)
