[Bluedevil] [Bug 485306] New: Bluetooth tray icon showing not connected, but device works

2024-04-10 Thread Daniel Eckl
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=485306

Bug ID: 485306
Summary: Bluetooth tray icon showing not connected, but device
works
Classification: Plasma
   Product: Bluedevil
   Version: 5.27.11
  Platform: Other
OS: Linux
Status: REPORTED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: system tray
  Assignee: plasma-b...@kde.org
  Reporter: daniel.e...@gmx.de
CC: m...@ratijas.tk
  Target Milestone: ---

SUMMARY

When pairing a device - in my case a headset Jabra Evolve2 65 - the bluetooth
tray icon shows it as connected and I can disconnect it in context menu. When
later I want to reconnect the device, then it technically works, but the icon
still shows "unconnected" and in context menu - while the battery level of the
connected device is shown - it is still listed as unconnected and shows me a
"connect" button.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Pair a bluetooth device
2. Switch device off and on again
3. wait for it to connect itself

OBSERVED RESULT
Device is connected and can be used.
The icon still shows no connected devices.
When clicking the icon, the device list shows the battery level of the device.
The list shows no "disconnect" button for this device, but "connect".

EXPECTED RESULT
The icon should show one device as connected

I'm not 100 confident if my issue is the same bug. My freezes are not as long
as the OP describes. Mine feel like just a few milliseconds. Thus I can't tell
for sure if mouse and keyboard are affected, too. I realize it only when
watching video which I mostly do using mpv. Video stops then until the popup is
fully opaque. It does not freeze when popup disappears. Consecutive popups
don't freeze. I sadly can't tell how long the timespan without popups has to be
until the next one triggers it again.

I only use Intel Graphics, the Nvidia Optimus one is too buggy on linux.

[Ruqola] [Bug 481400] Login using Personal Access Token

2024-03-25 Thread Daniel Eckl
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=481400

I think the PAT part is absolutely flawless. I noticed that when I add a new
server and enter the server url with a trailing slash like
"https://chat.server.name/; the interface connects like forever, simply
removing the slash works fine. I guess that was already the case before and
this is unrelated.

[Ruqola] [Bug 481400] New: Login using Personal Access Token

2024-02-16 Thread Daniel Eckl
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=481400

Bug ID: 481400
Summary: Login using Personal Access Token
Classification: Applications
   Product: Ruqola
   Version: 1.9.2
  Platform: Flatpak
OS: Linux
Status: REPORTED
  Severity: wishlist
  Priority: NOR
 Component: backend
  Assignee: mon...@kde.org
  Reporter: daniel.e...@gmx.de
  Target Milestone: ---

SUMMARY

Login via Personal Access Token (PAT) seems not possible.
The company internal instance of rocket chat uses an SSO login. I understand
that OAUTH2 login is not yet possible. But I wonder if login via PAT would be
possible. So I created a PAT and used it as User and Password but to no avail,
it only answers "wrong username or password", so I guess this is not that easy
and has to be implemented as well.

I hope this way perhaps is more easy than completing OAUTH2 login and I'd like
to ask you to please look into that.

Thank you very much!

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Access your profile settings to create a PAT
2. Use the credentials shown in Username and Password field of your ruqola
server settings and click "login"

OBSERVED RESULT
Notice message "wrong username and password"

EXPECTED RESULT
being logged in

screenshot of settings panel

SUMMARY
***
Klipper option "Keep selection and clipboard the same" has no effect. I had the
setting active since long time and it was working fine, but then I just once
deactivated it and now I cannot activate it again.

The setting is "active" in settings panel and klipperrc has a line
"SyncClipboards=true", but even after reboot it does not work anymore.

The settings panel for klipper looks quite fishy, too, because it is not
translated completely but a mixture of english and my selected language
(german). See screenshot.
***

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Open klipper configuration
2. deactivate "Keep the selection and clipboard the same" and apply
3. test and notice that it's correctly not synced anymore
4. re-activate "Keep the selection and clipboard the same" and apply
5. test and notice that it's still not synced
6. look into ~/.config/klipperrc and notice the line "SyncClipboards=true" as
it should be
7. reboot, test and notice it's still not active

OBSERVED RESULT
Behavior does not follow the option

EXPECTED RESULT
Behavior follows the option

I have the same issue on Kubuntu 21.10 with KDE Backports PPA

Operating System: Kubuntu 21.10
KDE Plasma Version: 5.24.3
KDE Frameworks Version: 5.92.0
Qt Version: 5.15.2
Kernel Version: 5.13.0-37-generic (64-bit)
Graphics Platform: X11
Processors: 4 × Intel® Core™ i5-7300U CPU @ 2.60GHz
Memory: 15,4 GiB of RAM
Graphics Processor: Mesa Intel® HD Graphics 620

I cannot reconfigure anything kwin related that restarts kwin, without having a
nearly unusable system, framerate of everything drops to about 1-2 fps. My
workaround then is to disable compositing by pressing CRTL-SHIFT-F12, but for
re-enabling a working compositing I have to logout and back in.

The issue also appears when I restart kwin on the console with using "kwin_x11
--replace". Console output:

$ kwin_x11 --replace

I absolutely have this issue, too, using Kubuntu 16.10 Yakkety Yak and
nvidia-340.98.

After I tried to reproduce my (supposedly unrelated) konsole crash issue I
closed every konsole window. There was no 100% process running then, I checked
that. Way later I noticed one cpu core was running at 100% and it turned out it
was a konsole process.
