Bug ID: 442394 Summary: kio-fuse not mounting smb share if password is remembered Product: kiofuse Version: unspecified Platform: Neon Packages OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: general Assignee: a.saout...@gmail.com Reporter: danhernan...@gmail.com CC: fab...@ritter-vogt.de, kio-bugs-n...@kde.org Target Milestone: --- Created attachment 141522 --> https://bugs.kde.org/attachment.cgi?id=141522&action=edit .xsession-errors show this when I try to stream a video file in the "already mounted" smb share but fails to do so SUMMARY I'm trying to play video files from my second machine through Samba, when I connect to it the first time and it asks for my credentials it works. But when I close dolphin and access it again it doesn't use the fuse mount and so trying to play it makes mpv crash and vlc handles smb by itself so it asks for password again. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Connect to Samba share on Dolphin. 2. Use your credentials. 3. Streaming video works. 4. Close it and connect to the same share again. 5. Streaming video doesn't work. OBSERVED RESULT The mount point still exists on /run/user/{uid}/kio-fuse-{string}/smb/{user:host}/... and I can still access it, it actually works to stream video. But trying to access it from the Network section on dolphin only gives you the smb:// url and so streaming doesn't actually work. EXPECTED RESULT Since the mount point still exists, it should still use it and so video streaming should still work. SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Windows: macOS: Linux/KDE Plasma: KDE Neon 5.22 (available in About System) KDE Plasma Version: 5.22.5 KDE Frameworks Version: 5.85.0 Qt Version: 5.15.3 ADDITIONAL INFORMATION If I enable the "Remember password" check on the authentication pop up, it doesn't work again unless I remove the password from kwallet. Lastly, if I set the "Default user name" and "Default password" on System Settings > Network > Settings > Windows Shares, it also never works and kio-fuse doesn't even run. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
