I think this is more like what you need. Using 7.0.0 rc1 debug.
Rotating the same image file I sent you earlier.

By the way, all three monitors are driven off the same video card (which
happens to be on the motherboard) and therefore use the same driver.

Yes I am referring to the tags displayed at the bottom left of the screen.

[digikam] [Bug 422259] New: Option to have different dwell time on each image

2020-05-30 Thread David Griffiths
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=422259

Bug ID: 422259
Summary: Option to have different dwell time on each image
   Product: digikam
   Version: 7.0.0
  Platform: MS Windows
OS: Microsoft Windows
Status: REPORTED
  Severity: wishlist
  Priority: NOR
 Component: Plugin-Generic-SlideShow
  Assignee: digikam-bugs-n...@kde.org
  Reporter: da...@digitalgraphics.com.au
  Target Milestone: ---

SUMMARY
It would be nice to be able to have a different dwell (display) time for each
image in a slideshow. For example you might might want a 5 second dwell for
most pictures, but some might only need 3 and some might need longer, say 10
seconds.

I am thinking this could be a valued stored in the image database, or even as a
metatag perhaps.

The best way to implement this might be not to specify and actual time for each
image but just tag it as short, normal and long and then set the actual times
for these three (or more) periods globally. (At a pinch, you could use the
colour labels)

[digikam] [Bug 398288] digikam no write access to folder

2020-05-26 Thread David Griffiths
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=398288

Gilles,

My experience is all DOS and Windows, so I can't comment re the cross compiler,
but two things:
- I would think a cross compiled program should be able to do anything a
natively compiled program can do.
- this is not an installer issue, it comes up when the DigiKam program is first
run.

It is just not right that an application program cannot write to a folder on
the C: that is not in the Windows protected area, especially when the machine
only has one drive!

[OT I have some questions re face tags - where is the best place to ask them?]

I have a similar problem. On a new install, when I run V7.0.0 B2 it asks me
where my photos are located (C:\Players) and it says I do not appear to have
write access to this folder (I do). This is on my laptop running Windows 10
Home.
I installed the same version yesterday on my desktop running the same version
of Windows. The only difference is the photos folder is on D: drive.
