2. Click the clock to open the calendar, close the calendar, and reopen the

[kolourpaint] [Bug 368131] New: KolourPaint 16.08.0 ignores relative paths on the command line

2016-09-01 Thread David Korth via KDE Bugzilla
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=368131

Bug ID: 368131
Summary: KolourPaint 16.08.0 ignores relative paths on the
command line
   Product: kolourpaint
   Version: unspecified
  Platform: Gentoo Packages
OS: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: general
  Assignee: kolourpaint-supp...@lists.sourceforge.net
  Reporter: gerbils...@gerbilsoft.com

KolourPaint 16.08.0 ignores relative paths on the command line. This seems to
be caused by QUrl::fromUserInput not handling relative pathnames.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. In a terminal, cd to a directory containing an image file.
2. kolourpaint ./imagefile.png

Actual Results:
KolourPaint opens a blank, untitled image.

Expected Results:
KolourPaint opens imagefile.png.

[kompare] [Bug 329912] No underscore w/ font "DejaVu Sans Mono 10pt"

2016-08-24 Thread David Korth via KDE Bugzilla
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=329912

After doing some more testing, I found that changing the anti-aliasing hinting
style to anything other than "slight" fixes it.

I changed it to "full" on my local system, which makes the fonts appear
"sharper" and fixes the underscore issue. I'm still thinking that something's
wrong with KTextEditor, but this at least is a usable workaround.

[kompare] [Bug 329912] No underscore w/ font "DejaVu Sans Mono 10pt"

2016-08-23 Thread David Korth via KDE Bugzilla
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=329912

This was happening to me for quite a while on my old system, starting with at
least KDE 4.12. On my new system, I installed KDE/Plasma 5 and the problem went
away for a while.

...then I manually changed the font DPI from 96 to 100. Underscores no longer
show up in KWrite with DejaVu Sans Mono 10pt.

System: KDE Frameworks 5.25 with Plasma Desktop 5.7.3
Underscores do not show up in KWrite or Kate when using the DejaVu Sans Mono
10pt font at 100dpi, but they do show up in Qt Designer (both 4 and 5).

I've been encountering this problem for quite some time on any program that
uses the KDE text editor widget. (KWrite, Kate, KDevelop, etc.) When using
DejaVu Sans Mono, 10pt, underscores don't render for normal text. They *do*
render if the text is bold.

Version information:
- KWrite version 4.14.7
- Using KDE development platform 4.14.12

Interestingly, Qt Designer does NOT show this problem. Underscores render
perfectly for DejaVu Sans Mono 10pt.
