[kompare] [Bug 329912] No underscore w/ font "DejaVu Sans Mono 10pt"
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=329912 --- Comment #6 from David Korth--- After doing some more testing, I found that changing the anti-aliasing hinting style to anything other than "slight" fixes it. I changed it to "full" on my local system, which makes the fonts appear "sharper" and fixes the underscore issue. I'm still thinking that something's wrong with KTextEditor, but this at least is a usable workaround. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
[kompare] [Bug 329912] No underscore w/ font "DejaVu Sans Mono 10pt"
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=329912 --- Comment #5 from David Korth--- This was happening to me for quite a while on my old system, starting with at least KDE 4.12. On my new system, I installed KDE/Plasma 5 and the problem went away for a while. ...then I manually changed the font DPI from 96 to 100. Underscores no longer show up in KWrite with DejaVu Sans Mono 10pt. System: KDE Frameworks 5.25 with Plasma Desktop 5.7.3 Underscores do not show up in KWrite or Kate when using the DejaVu Sans Mono 10pt font at 100dpi, but they do show up in Qt Designer (both 4 and 5). -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
[kompare] [Bug 329912] No underscore w/ font "DejaVu Sans Mono 10pt"
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=329912 David Korthchanged: What|Removed |Added CC||gerbils...@gerbilsoft.com --- Comment #4 from David Korth --- I've been encountering this problem for quite some time on any program that uses the KDE text editor widget. (KWrite, Kate, KDevelop, etc.) When using DejaVu Sans Mono, 10pt, underscores don't render for normal text. They *do* render if the text is bold. Version information: - KWrite version 4.14.7 - Using KDE development platform 4.14.12 Interestingly, Qt Designer does NOT show this problem. Underscores render perfectly for DejaVu Sans Mono 10pt. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
