[kdenlive] [Bug 445644] timeline mess after re-open

2021-11-30 Thread Eckard Gerlach
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=445644

Thx for looking to the bug. Its a good idea to load down latest image versions
and then render the project.
I just rendered a video with that image an I am amazed: no crackling, typwriter
is "build-in" as a feature for text elements, good!!!
My old video timeline with rendering bugs with speeded videos is already
rendered to a mp4, after many tries with adding video lines to the timeline.
So you can close this bug report! Seems that bugs are done :)
Thank you!!

https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=445720

Bug ID: 445720
Summary: audio damaged for one/two syllables after beginning
   Product: kdenlive
   Version: 21.08.3
  Platform: Ubuntu Packages
OS: Linux
Status: REPORTED
  Severity: critical
  Priority: NOR

  Assignee: vpi...@kde.org
  Reporter: egerl...@aiai.de
  Target Milestone: ---

SUMMARY

***

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. place a wav audio of audacity in timeline
2. render video
3. listen to begining of Video : after 1 second on/two syllables are destroyed.
can't be understand. Video seem to be damaged,

not reproduceable. Sometimes happens at start of video, sometimes in the
middle. But always when new wav audio starts

SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS
Windows:
macOS:
Linux/KDE Plasma:
(available in About System)
KDE Plasma Version:
KDE Frameworks Version:
Qt Version:

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
My workaround at the moment: If error at the beginning of video I add some
audio stuff , then render video, then cut video with avidemux at beginning.
But I've no workaround when error occurs in the middle of video!!! I would
have to cut video in to pieces, then substitute audio at beginning at part 2,
then cut , then merge video together! What a huge overhead! :(

Hello Julius,   Cc: Rafal Lalik

Thank you for information, that typewriter is now in properties panel of
text element. I didn't detect it, beacuse I moved back to 21.08.1
immediately. Yes, its okay!! Its even better when I can assign
typewriter to a specific text element and is not automatically assigned
to all text elements in a titler window!! typewriter settings in old
videos are lost and have to be set again, thats only disadvantage. Ok, I
update to 21.08.3 after next video is done!
Julius, Thank you very much for working hard on kdenlive!!!

SUMMARY
Wish No 1: arrows in title clip and lines.
Wish No 2: drag pictures into title clip.

See screenshot attached: I draw arrows like that at the moment in LibreOffice
Draw. Before I make a screeshot from kdenlive, import it into LibreOffice (LO)
Draw, then draw arrows, then delete the screenshot, then make a screenshot of
arrows within LO, then open in gimp, then delete color white (standard
background of LO) , then save as transparent png, the insert into title clip,
then find right size. Much time to do that ...

Thank you for fast answer. Thank you for information that "speed" is the
problem.
I will render a extra clip, e.g. myclip-speed150percent.mp4 and will
re-integrate it to the project. I can live with that bug.

Thank you to all KDE programmers, developers, .. It's a wonderful software!
Drawing strokes with head in "Add title clip" would be helpful, and inserting
pics by drag The rest is nearly perfect! I'll make a donation again!

Since 15.04 or earlier there is "typwriter" effect missing. "title clip" ->
write some text -> right hand "Effect" -> choose typewriter. I need it for
educational affairs. See discussion
https://forum.kde.org/viewtopic.php?f=270=136665 . I already made a donation
of 50€, thx for this wonderful software. Now bounty 60€ for re-implementation
of that effect. BTW: I know typewriter is crashing nearly every time it's
played in timeline. But thats not the problem, I am accustomed to that bug:
switch off/on that video track an make checkpoints only.
