[i18n] [Bug 445178] Translation Problems in Quick Settings and User Feedback in Spanish
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=445178 Eloy Cuadra changed: What|Removed |Added Status|REPORTED|RESOLVED CC||ecua...@eloihr.net Resolution|--- |FIXED --- Comment #2 from Eloy Cuadra --- It seems that this old bug was incorrectly assigned to the Spanish translation team and that the System Settings developers fixed it at some point in the past. I am closing it today because it is no longer applicable. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

[systemsettings] [Bug 440805] indexer configuration module not fully translated
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=440805 Eloy Cuadra changed: What|Removed |Added Product|i18n|systemsettings Assignee|kde-l10n...@kde.org |baloo-bugs-n...@kde.org Ever confirmed|0 |1 CC||ecua...@eloihr.net, ||plasma-b...@kde.org Status|REPORTED|CONFIRMED Component|es |kcm_baloo --- Comment #1 from Eloy Cuadra --- This is not a translation fault, but a coding bug: those strings are translated in balooengine5 (at least in Spanish). I think this bug can be solved adding a simple KLocalizedString::setApplicationDomain("balooengine5") or something similar in Baloo's KCM (or maybe in other place). I've change the product to "systemsettings" because I think the bug is there. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

[i18n] [Bug 427172] New: Some texts in the window's specific preferences dialog appear untranslated
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=427172 Bug ID: 427172 Summary: Some texts in the window's specific preferences dialog appear untranslated Product: i18n Version: unspecified Platform: openSUSE RPMs OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: general Assignee: aa...@kde.org Reporter: ecua...@eloihr.net Target Milestone: --- SUMMARY If you click the right mouse button on the title bar of any window and select the option "More actions -> Configure special window preferences", the dialog that appears shows some texts untranslated into the user's language. Texts for the radio buttons "Yes" and "No", the buttons "Add Properties" and "Detect Window Properties" at the bottom, and the texts "Instantly" and "After X seconds" appear in English. But if you go to the System Settings, "Workspace" section, "Window management -> Window rules", the same texts appear fully translated into the user's language. Tested in Spanish and Catalan, but I guess this issue affects all languages. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Click the right mouse button on the title bar of any window in Plasma. 2. Select "More Actions -> Configure Special Window Settings..." OBSERVED RESULT Some text are not translated in the dialog that appear. EXPECTED RESULT All text should be translated in that dialog. SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Linux: 5.3.18 (openSUSE Leap 15.2) KDE Plasma Version: 5.19 and 5.19.90 KDE Frameworks Version: 5.74.0 Qt Version: 5.15.1 ADDITIONAL INFORMATION Tested only on openSUSE Leap 15.2, but it may affect other (or all) distros. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
[i18n] [Bug 420396] Sugerencia de traducción para el modulo de conexiones de red
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=420396 Eloy Cuadra changed: What|Removed |Added Resolution|--- |FIXED CC||ecua...@eloihr.net Status|REPORTED|RESOLVED --- Comment #1 from Eloy Cuadra --- I just changed the translation to the suggested one in commits 1567898 and 1567899. However, this brings to light another problem that should be fixed by developers: in that dialog box, the word "Automatic" is used as value for several options. There's no problem in English, since that word is gender neutral, but in Spanish (and in other languages) it can have a masculine or feminine gender. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
[i18n] [Bug 420395] Longitud de traducción causa problemas en la bandeja del sistema
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=420395 Eloy Cuadra changed: What|Removed |Added CC||ecua...@eloihr.net --- Comment #3 from Eloy Cuadra --- Acabo de cambiar la traducción por "Puerta de enlace IPv4 por omisión". Creo que con ese tamaño no debería dar problemas. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
[frameworks-knewstuff] [Bug 415541] i18n: downloadNewWhat text used in different contexts, cannot be translated correctly
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=415541 Eloy Cuadra changed: What|Removed |Added CC||ecua...@eloihr.net --- Comment #19 from Eloy Cuadra --- It is also worth noting that the word "new" is invariable in gender (and in number) in English, but this is not the case for other languages. For example, in many languages (Spanish, Catalan, French, Italian, etc.), the translation of "new" can be masculine or feminine gender (i. e., suitable for only one of the genders, but not for both). As far as number is concerned, I think that "download new %1" always refers to plural (themes, decorations, cursors, etc.). This should not be a problem, although I don't know if it can be for some languages. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=374968 Eloy Cuadra changed: What|Removed |Added Resolution|--- |INVALID Status|UNCONFIRMED |RESOLVED CC||ecua...@eloihr.net --- Comment #1 from Eloy Cuadra --- Quoted from the Wikipedia (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vendor): 'Vendor' generally applies only to the immediate vendor, or the organization that is paid for the goods, rather than to the original manufacturer or the organization performing the service if it is different from the immediate supplier. So, "vendedor" should be ok ;-) -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

[i18n] [Bug 364937] Uncommon terminology used for Nicaragua
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=364937 Eloy Cuadra changed: What|Removed |Added CC||aa...@kde.org, ||ecua...@eloihr.net --- Comment #2 from Eloy Cuadra --- The terminology used in KGeography quiz is generic for all countries and languages. Thus, "capital" is used as a common term, without local variations. I don't know if the authors of KGeography can "correct" this problem that seems to affect only Nicaragua. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
