Tested 8.3.0. No crashes sofar and faster startup than 8.2.0 with Qt6. However
feels slower than 8.2.0 with Qt5.
One other issue is HiDPI parameter. Enabling and disabling does not make a
difference, the font is too small now.

I am using 8.2.0 and do not want to upgrade yet to a release that is still in
development.
Can I test 8.3.0 without disrupting my 8.2.0 setup?

Yep, the functionality is there, but the UI is not clear how you can use it.
There are dedicated buttons for 'No colour label' and 'No flag', so users will
also expects a button for 'No stars'.

[digikam] [Bug 478298] New: Please add button to filter on no stars

2023-12-09 Thread Erik Herlé
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=478298

Bug ID: 478298
Summary: Please add button to filter on no stars
Classification: Applications
   Product: digikam
   Version: 8.2.0
  Platform: Other
OS: Microsoft Windows
Status: REPORTED
  Severity: normal

 Component: Albums-Filters
  Assignee: digikam-bugs-n...@kde.org
  Reporter: erik.herle+...@mailbox.org
  Target Milestone: ---

SUMMARY
***
Add button to filter on no stars
***
The UI is unclear how you can filter all photos with no stars. There are sepate
buttons to select photos with no color label or no acceptance flag. There is no
button to select photos with no stars. You have to do it pretty complicated
using the 'None' button of the colour label buttons plus a change in the rating
filter options (equal to or less than). Even for multi-year users, like myself,
this is not very straight forward, especially when working with software like
darktable that do have a separate filter button for photos with no stars.
So, can you please add button to select no stars (left to the already existing
star buttons)?

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Select an album
2. apply filter
3.

When I edit a photo a new version is automatically created and displayed in the
browser (instead of the original). Since a couple of days, the browsers shows
the original as well despite the setting that the original should not be
displayed. I have not changed any settings.
I tried setting and unsetting this parameter a couple of times, but no effect.
How can I restore the original and intended behaviour of not showing the
original?

[digikam] [Bug 371635] New: dK freezes often when moving to next photo

2016-10-24 Thread Erik Herlé via KDE Bugzilla
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=371635

Bug ID: 371635
Summary: dK freezes often when moving to next photo
   Product: digikam
   Version: 5.2.0
  Platform: MS Windows
OS: MS Windows
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: AlbumsView
  Assignee: digikam-de...@kde.org
  Reporter: erik.herle+digi...@gmail.com

In order to weed out imported pictures I use the Rejected/Pending/Accepted
labels to qualify them. I use the keyboard shortcuts (Alt+0 .. Alt+3) to assign
a label and the cursor keys to move to the next picture. After a couple of
label picks, dK does not respond to my cursor keys (Left or PgDn) to move the
next picture. I have to mouseclick the current/next picture and then I can use
the cursor keys again.

It is impossible to process an imported batch entirely by keyboard, I am forced
to use mouse over and over again after a couple of picks. Usually it happens
after 2 to 4 picks.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
See details above.

Actual Results:
See details above.

Expected Results:
I want to be able to process my imported photos entirely with my keyboard. That
is the fastest way to process them. So I would expect that is not necessary any
more to mouseclick a picture to continue the process.

[digikam] [Bug 371072] New: Edit Advanced Search does not show selected labels

2016-10-18 Thread Erik Herlé via KDE Bugzilla

Bug ID: 371072
Summary: Edit Advanced Search does not show selected labels
   Product: digikam
   Version: 5.2.0
  Platform: MS Windows
OS: MS Windows
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal

 Component: Searches
  Assignee: digikam-de...@kde.org
  Reporter: erik.herle+digi...@gmail.com

When I want to edit a saved search, I am not able to see the labels that I have
selected to include in my search. E.g. I created a search to display all photos
with a Rejected label. When I open the edit window for this search, you cannot
see whether the Rejected label is selected or not (although it is active). This
makes it very hard to edit my Saved Searches and customize them to my workflow.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.Save a search
2.Edit the search

Actual Results:
See details

Expected Results:
Show which labels (None, Rejected, Pending, Accepted) are selected or
deselected of a saved search.
