[okular] [Bug 465821] New: Copy pasting gives garbled text
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=465821 Bug ID: 465821 Summary: Copy pasting gives garbled text Classification: Applications Product: okular Version: 22.12.2 Platform: Archlinux OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: PDF backend Assignee: okular-de...@kde.org Reporter: filippovolp...@gmail.com Target Milestone: --- Created attachment 156289 --> https://bugs.kde.org/attachment.cgi?id=156289=edit minimum reproducible case SUMMARY When copy pasting from a specific PDF the text comes out as random symbols on paste. Also find function doesn't recognize that text. Both features does work if I open the same file on firefox. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Open the PDF attached in okular 2. Select text 3. ctrl+c 4. open kate 5. ctrl+v OBSERVED RESULT On kate the only random symbols are pasted EXPECTED RESULT The selected text is pasted as I can read it. SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Operating System: Arch Linux KDE Plasma Version: 5.26.5 KDE Frameworks Version: 5.102.0 Qt Version: 5.15.8 Kernel Version: 6.1.11-arch1-1 (64-bit) Graphics Platform: Wayland ADDITIONAL INFORMATION The same feature works as intended on firefox and text is correctly selectable on okular so I don't think it's a file problem. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
[okular] [Bug 465701] New: Improve annotation functionality
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=465701 Bug ID: 465701 Summary: Improve annotation functionality Classification: Applications Product: okular Version: unspecified Platform: unspecified OS: All Status: REPORTED Severity: wishlist Priority: NOR Component: general Assignee: okular-de...@kde.org Reporter: filippovolp...@gmail.com Target Milestone: --- I'd like to make some suggestions to improve the functionality of the annotations tools: 1. Separate color and tool selection For example sometimes i switch between highlighter and line but i then need to define both tool with every color which becomes a lot 2. Line behind text When OCR is not available or for equations the highlighter tool cannot be used so I would need to use the line tool. But the line is above the text and it would cover it, adding transparency to it both rends it a different color than the highlighted stuff and rends the content less readable. The highlighter tool fixes this by staying behind the content. 3. Box behind text To highlight an equation it can be useful to draw a box with highlighter mode. There's no other way to highlight equations otherwise since highlighter tools always gets the equations shape wrong. 4. Highlighter tool line thickness Adding the ability to change the highlighter tool line thickness. This means it's also fixed. I'd suggest a "Auto or value" type of selection. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
[frameworks-kio] [Bug 428436] File already exist dialog says "identical files" but they are not
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=428436 --- Comment #2 from Filippo Volpe --- (In reply to Justin Zobel from comment #1) > Confirmed on git master. > > Likely it is only checking filename. Size and sha256sum (or similar) would > be different as file has been edited. Yes but I noticed that if you do the same thing between folders (not from an archive) it rightfully says "files are not identical". Moreover the dialog in the attachment says the sizes are the same but they were not. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
[dolphin] [Bug 428436] New: File already exist dialog says "identical files" but they are not

SUMMARY In a new installation i was unpacking the backup (.tar) from ark to my home folder with a drag-and-drop and fair enough it finds that for example ".bashrc" already exists and the relative "File already exist" window opens but it says that the files are identical but they really are not. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Take a file opened in the folder in Dolphin 2. Put that file in an archive (.tar or .tar.gz) 3. Modify the original file in the folder 3. Drag-and-drop the file from the archive to the folder with the same-name one OBSERVED RESULT The dialog says the files are identical EXPECTED RESULT The dialog says the files are not identical SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Linux, Arch, kernel: 5.9.1-arch1-1 KDE Plasma Version: 5.20.1 KDE Frameworks Version: 5.75.0 Qt Version: 5.15.1 ADDITIONAL INFORMATION -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

[okular] [Bug 420824] New: Zoom in over "Fit Width" in two page mode
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=420824 Bug ID: 420824 Summary: Zoom in over "Fit Width" in two page mode Product: okular Version: 1.9.80 Platform: Archlinux Packages OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: minor Priority: NOR Component: general Assignee: okular-de...@kde.org Reporter: filippovolp...@gmail.com Target Milestone: --- SUMMARY When two page mode is selected and zoom with ctrl+mousewheel I can only go from the minimum percentage (ie 12%) to "Fit Width" and can't go further. If one page mode is selected this is not a problem and works normally. I verified the problem with at least .pdf and .djvu files. The only way there's to achieve more zoom that is to manually go to the zoom dropdown menu and select a a value higher than what "Fit width" currently corresponds to given the window size and then it works as expected until you zoom out of the two pages, then the problem reappear. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Open a pdf file with more than 2 pages 2. Set view mode as "facing pages" 3. Zoom in from the minimum percentage OBSERVED RESULT The zoom locks at "Fit Width" level and won't go further. EXPECTED RESULT Being able to zoom in to from 12% to 400% with only a ctrl+mousewheel action as it works in view mode "single page".
