[kmymoney] [Bug 482314] Reports menu is missing in Plasma 6

Hi Jack,

Thanks for the reply. You guys must be having a crazy weekend.

There is no Report View in the plugins panel, so it looks like you're
right about a dependencies issue.

If you want to reassign to neon, that's ok with me.

Thanks and good luck.

[kmymoney] [Bug 440645] program terminates suddenly or freezes

2021-08-11 Thread Frank Osborne
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=440645

The appimage version I'm using is the binary that the web page
https://kmymoney.org/download.html
(https://link.getmailspring.com/link/8a47dc11-cad1-4293-ab34-308c62a74...@getmailspring.com/0?redirect=https%3A%2F%2Fkmymoney.org%2Fdownload.html&recipient=YnVnLWNvbnRyb2xAa2RlLm9yZw%3D%3D)
links to for a Linux download of KMyMoney. The AppImage page is titled
"KMyMoney_Stable_Appimage_Build
(https://link.getmailspring.com/link/8a47dc11-cad1-4293-ab34-308c62a74...@getmailspring.com/1?redirect=https%3A%2F%2Fbinary-factory.kde.org%2Fjob%2FKMyMoney_Stable_Appimage_Build%2F&recipient=YnVnLWNvbnRyb2xAa2RlLm9yZw%3D%3D)".
It is not called a beta, test, or developer's build. I assumed it was a stable,
release version. This is the second version from this page that I have
downloaded and used. I went here because I experienced issues printing reports
on the Kubuntu package.

I went back and tried the version KMyMoney-5.1.0-4763930-x86_64.appimage and it
too crashes when you scroll on the Home page.
I have gone back to version 5.0.8 from the Kubuntu package.

[kmymoney] [Bug 440645] program terminates suddenly or freezes

2021-08-07 Thread Frank Osborne
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=440645

This build of the program is very unstable. Working in Reports and then
switching to another section such as Home or Budgets will cause the program to
crash and sometimes saving the data file with 0 bytes destroying all data!
After using the program for over 5 years I have stopped using it.

Bugs in Neon/dev/stable 20171205 build

1. in System Settings > Workspace Theme > Look and Feel there are no entries to
select. It's just a blank screen.

2. In System Settings > Workspace Theme > Desktop Themes there no entries to
select. Just a blank screen.

These bugs are not in the dev/unstable release of the same date and they were
not in earlier dev/stable releases but I don't know when they first appeared.

You probably use old version of KMM. In 5.0 version CSV importer underwent
huge
rewrite so this shouldn't be a problem anymore.

Sample import file.

I can duplicate this error with the attached file. Import the file to a ledger
acc't and select the columns for Date, Description etc. When selecting the
columns KMyMoney will crash.
I get around this by deleting the blank columns in Calc or a text editor.
Hope this helps,
Frank

Allan,
I couldn't duplicate this first try but I'll work on it this week. It may
take me a week or so to get it. You can close this ticket if you want and
I'll let you know when/if I can reproduce it.
I've used Quicken. MS Money, Moneydance, and others and KMyMoney is the
best. You guys did an excellent job.
Thanks for the quick response.
Frank

  Target Milestone: ---

If the leading column of the import CSV file is empty of data KMyMoney will
crash when selecting input columns. I edited the import file to remove empty
columns and imported the file with no errors.
CSV Import component should handle empty columns without crashing.
Using KMyMoney v 4.14.22
