[KDE Itinerary] [Bug 478451] New: Feature request: Automatically generate a report for a compensation fee for delayed trains.
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=478451 Bug ID: 478451 Summary: Feature request: Automatically generate a report for a compensation fee for delayed trains. Classification: Applications Product: KDE Itinerary Version: unspecified Platform: Other OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: general Assignee: vkra...@kde.org Reporter: gik-kb...@flump.de Target Milestone: --- SUMMARY The Deutsche Bahn regularly has delayed trains and pays a compensation of the original ticket price at specific thresholds. Unfortunately, the reporting process is kind of complicated (or at least was complicated the last time I did it), especially since the DB deletes older delays in their online data (so it seems all the trains a few hours ago weren't delayed at all). Maybe it would be possible with Itinerary to automate the process: - Itineraty could track the delays for each station. - It is able to switch to alternatives, if the original trains is canceled or extremly delayed. - It should know the whole travel route. - Based on all that information (also ticket information) it should be possible to write the specific report so a user can send it in with one click. Maybe this is also possible for other train companies, but I do not know them well enough to be able to say how meaningful the process is for them. Für the ÖBB, for example, I needed to chat with a bot on a website that asked for the data, which makes it much more complicated for Itinerary. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
[NeoChat] [Bug 473107] New: Emojis displayed within the text are rendered with the system font while emojis in the picker are not.
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=473107 Bug ID: 473107 Summary: Emojis displayed within the text are rendered with the system font while emojis in the picker are not. Classification: Applications Product: NeoChat Version: 23.04.3 Platform: Other OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: General Assignee: fe...@posteo.de Reporter: gik-kb...@flump.de CC: c...@carlschwan.eu Target Milestone: --- SUMMARY NeoChat seems to render emojis in the different way. On my installation it is the case, that I am perfectly able to choose the emoji from the emoji picker, but as soon it is embedded in the text field or some other contact sends me an emoji, it looks either completely different or is not displayed at all (just a square box). It seems that the emojis displayed within the text fields are coming from the installed font, while the emojis in the color picker are not. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Choose some emoji in the emoji picker of NeoChat and click on it. OBSERVED RESULT The exact same symbol is shown in the text field. EXPECTED RESULT The emoji in a different font is displayed or just a square box. [NeoChat] [Bug 473105] New: Visual: The tray logo looks like a battery
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=473105 Bug ID: 473105 Summary: Visual: The tray logo looks like a battery Classification: Applications Product: NeoChat Version: 23.04.3 Platform: Other OS: All Status: REPORTED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: General Assignee: fe...@posteo.de Reporter: gik-kb...@flump.de CC: c...@carlschwan.eu Target Milestone: --- Created attachment 160792 --> https://bugs.kde.org/attachment.cgi?id=160792=edit neochat-icon.png SUMMARY This is not a functional bug, but I use Neochat on a Plasma Desktop on a Laptop where it displays a tray icon. When I plug in my power source, the battery icon disappears at some time (when the battery is full) and I regularly mistake the NeoChat icon with (a half full) battery icon. This does only happen, when just the NeoChat icon is displayed (when both icons are displayed the difference is strong enough). STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Start NeoChat on a Computer, where you have a tray and expect a battery icon (while there is none). ADDITIONAL INFORMATION I have attached a screenshot, where you can see both icons at once (currently the battery is full, but especially when it is half full, it looks really similar). Note, that I've made my task bar really small, so my tray icons are around 3x4mm. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
[KDE Itinerary] [Bug 472916] New: Importing of Deutschlandticket failed
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=472916 Bug ID: 472916 Summary: Importing of Deutschlandticket failed Classification: Applications Product: KDE Itinerary Version: unspecified Platform: Other OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: general Assignee: vkra...@kde.org Reporter: gik-kb...@flump.de Target Milestone: --- SUMMARY I tried to import my Deutschlandticket into Itinerary to get rid of the proprietary app of my local transport provider (the GVH in Hannover). However, the import failed. Probably, the problem has multiple aspects. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Open the GVH app, show the Deutschlandticket and take a screenshot. 2. Open Itinerary and go to "Importieren". Choose the screenshot. OBSERVED RESULT The app reports: "Nothing imported". EXPECTED RESULT The app shows the Deutschlandticket under "Pässe". SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Itinerary version: 23.11.70 Android version: 13 ADDITIONAL INFORMATION I was not sure what exactly failed: Is Itinerary not able to import QR-Codes from pictures or is this specific Deutschlandticket not recognized? Therefore I tried to import the Deutschlandticket from "deutschlandticket.de"/Transdev (scanning with the integrated barcode scanner) and this works (many thanks for that!). I also send the screenshot (of the GVH app) to my laptop, displayed it and then tried to scan the code with "Barcode scannen" from the Laptop screen. This also reports "Nothing imported". Therefore, I think that the Deutschlandticket from GVH is unsupported. I want to kindly suggest: - If recognizing barcodes in imported pictures is possible in principal and just the barcode interpretation failed, it would be helpful to report that: "Barcode recognized but unsupported by Itinerary". - If the integrated barcode scanner recognizes a barcode this is shown visually but really short. Also here an error message: "Barcode recognized but unsupported" would be helpful. If you need a sample of the GVH-Deutschlandticket, I can send it to you in private. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

[kdeconnect] [Bug 392164] Button for sharing clipboard content

(Or > have I misunderstood? Is this about Clipboard, or Share?) I meant that for the Share option. I though about how convenient it would be to replace Clipboard by Share. I, for example, regularly use the clipboard sharing for URLs, which currently involves theses steps: 1. Long click on Android on the URL. 2. Press copy. 3. Press "PP" in qutebrowser. Using sharing in the current form would involve: 1. Long click on Android on the URL. 2. Press Share. 3. Select KDE Connect. 4. Mark the text in KWrite. 5. Press Ctrl-C / Rightclick->Copy. 6. Press "PP" in qutebrowser. > > - The plasmoid on the PC pops up, shows: "Text {xy} was shared. How do you > > want to continue: 1. Copy, 2. Open with program 3. Save to file". For the > > open with program, maybe some autorecognition works, which opens URLs with > > a Browser/Gwenview/... where the default is opening with KWrite etc. > > Efficiency/steps-wise, I think adding a prompt on PC for what to do would > create mostly the same situation as the current behaviour of popping up > KWrite. You can already Copy/Save/whatever right away as soon as KWrite pops > up— I suppose opening with other programs would be half a step less— Can > Gwenview open web addresses? Or would that only be useful for web browsers? Yes, Gwenview (most KDE programs) opens URLs directly, if the type is suitable. For example, clicking on a picture link in KMail opens Gwenview, since KDE has some autodetection to what MIME type the URL points. Maybe sharing with KDE Connect does exactly this yet (I have not tried it): Open the best program suitable, in case of text this would be KWrite. > > Also, it is possible to share certain part of a text within another app on > > Android? For example some intresting parts of a chat message. On Android, I > > would long press on that, choose the interesting part and press copy. > > If I understand this correctly, from the menu that says "Copy", there should > also be/is a "Share" option that lets the text be send to KDE Connect, I > think. AFAIK, this option does not exist and since this is Android core functionality, it is not something that KDE (Connect) can change. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
[kdeconnect] [Bug 392164] Button for sharing clipboard content
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=392164 Gerion changed: What|Removed |Added CC||gik-kb...@flump.de --- Comment #6 from Gerion --- (In reply to Will Chen from comment #5) > This type of functionality is actually already available in the "Share and > receive" plugin. Hmm, interesting thought. If I get it right, this is always equal on both sides, isn't it? I'm really interested in a mode: - Share only on request from PC to Smartphone. - Share always from Smartphone to PC. - (Maybe also: Share always from PC to PC.) Background: I trust my PC(s) way more than my smartphone and copy passwords on a regular base on the PC but almost never on the smartphone. However, I think automatic sharing from the smartphone is more convenient than explicit sharing. Also, opening the text in KWrite requires one step more for URLs for example, because you have to copy them in KWrite a second time to paste it in your browser. Also, it is possible to share certain part of a text within another app on Android? For example some intresting parts of a chat message. On Android, I would long press on that, choose the interesting part and press copy. Additionally, what do you think of an extension of the plasmoid?: - On the smartphone: Share some text with KDE Connect. - The plasmoid on the PC pops up, shows: "Text {xy} was shared. How do you want to continue: 1. Copy, 2. Open with program 3. Save to file". For the open with program, maybe some autorecognition works, which opens URLs with a Browser/Gwenview/... where the default is opening with KWrite etc.) -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

[kdeconnect] [Bug 461728] New: Feature Request: KDE data and settings sync from Plasma to Plasma (KWallet, hotkeys, mail accounts)
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=461728 Bug ID: 461728 Summary: Feature Request: KDE data and settings sync from Plasma to Plasma (KWallet, hotkeys, mail accounts) Classification: Applications Product: kdeconnect Version: unspecified Platform: Other OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: wishlist Priority: NOR Component: common Assignee: albertv...@gmail.com Reporter: gik-kb...@flump.de Target Milestone: --- KDE Connect already allows to connect a Plasma PC to another one (or a Plasma Mobile device to a Plasma PC). Based on that, it would be awesome if KDE Connect could share common settings and data of the two Plasma Installations For example: - Passwords stored in KWallet (enables KWallet to be a shared PW manager). - Settings made in Systemsettings like hotkeys, colorscheme, nightcolor, general look and feel, regional settings). - Settings made in KDE applications like Dolphin (taskbar layout, remote folders), Okular (taskbar layout, display settings), Kontact (mail-accounts, mailfilter, notifications settings). This could be on an explicit base (the user has to initiate syncing and its done just once) or automatically (every time, when a change is made). I would expect a significant simplification of setting up a new PC if you already have another one and taking care of multiple installations. >From the technical point of view, I would say a protocol/API makes sense, that applications can use to share settings, so they somehow report what settings are sharable to KDE connect which shows that in the GUI. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

[kdeconnect] [Bug 461164] New: Missing remote file system browser in PC to PC connection
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=461164 Bug ID: 461164 Summary: Missing remote file system browser in PC to PC connection Classification: Applications Product: kdeconnect Version: 22.08.2 Platform: Other OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: common Assignee: albertv...@gmail.com Reporter: gik-kb...@flump.de Target Milestone: --- SUMMARY I tried to use KDE connect as a connection between Desktop PC and Laptop PC (both Gentoo with KDE installed) which amazingly just works. However, my intitial intention to do that was an easy access to the remote files (so easy that I can explain it to my non PC affine relatives) and especially the "remote file system browser" does not appear in the modules. This bug here is to get the reason for it. Why is the remote file system browser not working? - Is it not supported in a Desktop PC to Desktop PC connection? In this case, please enable it! - Am I missing some required modules? sshfs is installed on both PCs. Can I somehow look up, what is missing? - I have not really found any documentation about that. Is there somewhere a feature matrix what module works on what connection? Also I don't understand some modules: For example the bigscreen module is activated, but what does it do? Can I use the monitor of one PC as monitor of the other PC with that? - Maybe it is useful to always show all modules in system settings but display the not supported ones greyed out (together with an indication why). In this case the user is informed. Anyway, a big thanks for making this application. Of course there are other ways to connect devices but KDE connect makes it really really easy and mostly just works. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Connect one PC with another one via KDE connect. [kmail2] [Bug 436191] New: Kmail sometimes forgets the correct mapping of Sent and Draft folders
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=436191 Bug ID: 436191 Summary: Kmail sometimes forgets the correct mapping of Sent and Draft folders Product: kmail2 Version: 5.16.3 Platform: Other OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: folders Assignee: kdepim-b...@kde.org Reporter: gik-kb...@flump.de Target Milestone: --- SUMMARY When using Kmail with multiple accounts and a lot of folders, Kmail tends to forget the correct mapping of Sent and Draft folders sometimes. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Set up several identities and configure several Sent and Draft folders. 2. Use (and update) KMail a long time. OBSERVED RESULT Sometimes the configuration is mixed up and the Sent and Draft folders point to random other folders. EXPECTED RESULT The configured mapping remains the same. SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Windows: macOS: Linux/KDE Plasma: Gentoo, KDE Plasma 5.21.4 (available in About System) KDE Plasma Version: 5.21.4 KDE Frameworks Version: 5.81.0 Qt Version: 5.15.2 ADDITIONAL INFORMATION I'm pretty sure, this bug is known, but I didn't find it in the tracker. I have experienced this a long time (several years), always occasionally. I could also kind of reproduce it, when I delete the Akonadi database (I have deleted the entire folder ~/.local/share/akonadi). In this case, Akonadi syncs again (all settings are preserved) but the mapping is gone or mixed up. Since quite a time, KMail also displays a message, if the folders cannot be assigned anymore. Therefore, I would guess that the mapping is not string based but indices based and the indices are assigned randomly, when Akonadi creates a new database. However, this does not only happen when deleting the database. In rare cases, it also happens without any obvious reason (maybe an update?). This whole reassigning could be quite dangerous with sensitive data. Let's assume you have two E-Mail accounts: "A1" and "A2" (both IMAP, both have an INBOX and a Sent and Draft folder). KMail is configured to put sent messages of A1 to the A1.Sent folder and drafts of A1 to the A1.Draft folder and the same with A2. Now the mixup happens and A1.Sent points to A2.INBOX. After that, you send a message from account A1. KMail sends the message, puts it additionally in A2.INBOX, marks it as unread there, uploads it to the server (it is IMAP!) of the A2 account, the server executes some Sieve filtering and since A2 is a shared account, the mail is sent to a bunch of people. (This happened to me today. It was not a sensitive content, so the is was not that bad, but nevertheless unpleasant.) Is it possible to change the assignment/mapping to a string based approach? -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
