2016-10-20 Thread Germano Massullo via KDE Bugzilla

Today I am experiencing a variation of the problem: I copy a text or something
else, then I try to paste it but it does not actually paste anything. I repeat
the action and this time it works

2016-10-19 Thread Germano Massullo via KDE Bugzilla

The strange thing is that even if, during a disk burning, k3b complains about
not being able to erase the disk, it actually erases it, because once you put
the disk again in the dvd writer, k3b is able to burn it and write data on it

[dolphin] [Bug 368237] New: Cannot paste files into FTP folder, only drag works

2016-09-04 Thread Germano Massullo via KDE Bugzilla
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=368237

Bug ID: 368237
Summary: Cannot paste files into FTP folder, only drag
works
   Product: dolphin
   Version: 15.12.3
  Platform: Other
OS: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: general
  Assignee: dolphin-bugs-n...@kde.org
  Reporter: germano.massu...@gmail.com

I use ES File Explorer network remote control to act my phone as a FTP server
and move files from my computer to the phone and viceversa.
I always copied files from my computer and pasted them into the phone remote
folder.
>From a certain amount of weeks, I am experiencing Paste button to be grayied
and not be able to use it. From a random and lucky attempt I have found out
that it is possible to copy files by making a drag and drop from the computer
folder to the remote folder.
That is so strange

Reproducible: Always

Bug ID: 366638
Summary: [16.04] sftp stuck operations. Can operate only if
reopening Dolphin
   Product: dolphin
   Version: unspecified
  Platform: Other
OS: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: general
  Assignee: dolphin-bugs-n...@kde.org
  Reporter: germano.massu...@gmail.com

Many times sftp operations trigger notification wheel to infinitely rotate. The
sftp operation does not start at all, so to operate you have to:
- close Dolphin;
- stop the operation clicking on stop button in notifications list (under the
rotating wheel);
- open Dolphin again.

Reproducible: Always

title bar shows old filename
   Product: gwenview

Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: general
  Assignee: gwenview-bugs-n...@kde.org

When you use Gwenview to change image format (Save as...) you get a mismatch
between what Gwenview's titlebar shows and what Gwenview is really showing.
See steps to reproduce for further details

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. open a.png file
2. open menu "File" and select "Save as", select as file type jpeg
3. Save the file a.jpeg
4. Gwenview says "you are seeing the new document"
5. Gwenview's titlebar show a.png, then since I want to erase the old a.png
file, I press "del" keyboard's button.
6. Gwenview will erase a.jpeg instead of a.png

Actual Results:
mismatch between titlebar and actually selected file

The correct version is kf5-kio-core-5.21.0-1.fc23.x86_64 on Plasma 5.6.2
I have noticed that sometimes while operating files deletion on Dolphin, the
notification of deleting does not disappear, leaving a number on Dolphin
taskbar entry and the notifications wheel stuck. You can better understand the
situation by seeing the attached screenshots.

Days ago I have shown a GDB backtrace on #kde and #plasma on Freenode, but I
have been told that the log was useless (even if I installed debuginfos)

2016-04-20 Thread Germano Massullo via KDE Bugzilla

Bug ID: 362005
Summary: Hidden windows namebar, panel's taskbar entries and
whole Plasma unusable
   Product: plasmashell
   Version: 5.6.2
  Platform: Fedora RPMs
OS: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: grave
  Priority: NOR
 Component: general
  Assignee: k...@davidedmundson.co.uk
  Reporter: germano.massu...@gmail.com
CC: bhus...@gmail.com, plasma-b...@kde.org

Note: this bug has been successfully reproduced on 5 different machines,
Fedora 23: I updated from Plasma 5.5.5 to 5.6.2 and now after the login:
- every single window's namebar is not shown, you cannot resize, minimize,
maximize it;
- panel's taskbar entries are missing
- the panel size is wrong (see screenshot) and you cannot extend it back again
- the whole Plasma is unusable

I also need help in starting GDB and Valgrind from TTY since I cannot use
"kquitapp5 plasmashell" and again "gdb plasmashell", because Konsole will
disappear as soon Plasma restarts.
Guide
https://techbase.kde.org/Development/Tutorials/Debugging/Debugging_with_GDB
does not help.

I have been able to reproduce this bug on 2 real machines and 3 virtual
machines

I made a video showing various glitches on both "task manager" and "application
