Here is a screenshot showing the contents of the bookmark tab. As you can see,
there is no single page with two bookmarks. I need to press Next bookmark twice
to go from #122 to #131, and also twice to go from #131 to #132.

The problem also happens with other PDF files, not only this one.

[okular] [Bug 438520] New: Okular sometimes needs two attempts to get to the next bookmark

2021-06-12 Thread Hassan
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=438520

Bug ID: 438520
Summary: Okular sometimes needs two attempts to get to the next
bookmark
   Product: okular
   Version: unspecified
  Platform: Manjaro
OS: Linux
Status: REPORTED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: general
  Assignee: okular-de...@kde.org
  Reporter: tofailihas...@gmail.com
  Target Milestone: ---

SUMMARY
Okular allows the user to create multiple bookmarks in a PDF file by
right-clicking then clicking `add Bookmark` from the menu. The user can
navigate between bookmarks by right-clicking and choosing `Next Bookmark` or
`Previous Bookmark` from the menu. However, with some bookmarks clicking `Next
Bookmark` doesn't do anything, and I'll need to right-click then click it again
for Okular to move to the next bookmark.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Create multiple bookmarks in a PDF file
2. Cycle between bookmarks using right-click and `Previous/Next Bookmark`.

OBSERVED RESULT
Sometimes two attempts are needed to get to the next bookmark.

EXPECTED RESULT
One attempt would work.

SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS
Linux/KDE Plasma: Manjaro KDE
(available in About System)
KDE Plasma Version: 5.21.5
KDE Frameworks Version: 5.82.0
Qt Version: 5.15.2

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
I had thought at first that I could be dragging the PDF a little with the
mouse, causing the view to move by a tiny amount from the bookmark, then `Next
Bookmark` would appear not to do anything because it only reverses the tiny
deviation from the bookmark. However, the problem seems to appear consistently
with certain bookmarks and not others, so I do not think this is the problem.

[cantor] [Bug 420000] New: Can not set default zoom level

Bug ID: 42
Summary: Can not set default zoom level
   Product: cantor
   Version: unspecified
  Platform: Manjaro
OS: Linux
Status: REPORTED
  Severity: wishlist
  Priority: NOR
 Component: general
  Assignee: cantor-b...@kde.org
  Reporter: tofailihas...@gmail.com
  Target Milestone: ---

I do believe that cantor is a great piece of software, however, there are a few
issues with it.

One issue I have is that there is no option to change the default font size or
zoom level. The default font size is too small on my screen, and every time I
launch Cantor I have to press Ctrl++ multiple times to make it readable. I wish
there was an option in the settings to increase it once and for all.

I hope the developers would be able to read this post and implement this
feature.

kind regards

SUMMARY
Symbol Viewer can not analyze Fortran files to find functions and subroutines.
It says the file type is unsupported.

[ktorrent] [Bug 333975] KTorrent stuck in infinite loop while downloading Magnet; huge memleak

Kais Hassan <kai...@gmail.com> changed:

   What|Removed |Added

 CC||kai...@gmail.com

--- Comment #4 from Kais Hassan <kai...@gmail.com> ---
I was able to reproduce it and find a solution. I am using Arch Linux, Ktorrent
version 5.0.1-2, KDE Frameworks 5.23.0, Qt 5.6.1.

The problem was with the "Magnet Generator" plugin not enabled, which is the
default value. I suggest the following fixes to KTorrent:

1) Rename Magnet Generator to Magnet Support, since the current name is
misleading. As it seems this plugin is needed for downloading magnets.
2) Enable the Magnet plugin by default, since Magnets are currently popular
3) Check before downloading a Magnet if the plugin is enabled, if not either
enable it silently or display a message to user to enable it. If still disabled
don't attempt to download.

I am not familiar with KTorrent's code base, however if the previous suggested
fixes are correct, and no one have the time to fix it, I can dig into the code
and submit a patch.
